  1. All the little filly could hear were the ramblings of a pony somewhere further into the first-class cabin. The loud hiss that had suddenly occurred somehow made the train stop moving! That was odd, isn't a train usually supposed to .. like, keep going down the tracks until it reached it's.. like, destination? the little filly thought, rubbing her chin idly. Popping up from behind one of the seats in the first-class cabin, she slowly keeps tapping her chin, as she pulls a certain teddy bear out of her bag. Slowly hiding back behind the chair, she holds Hatson in front of her. ''Hatson, my trusty companion, could you perhaps look if you can like, see anypony?'' she asks, and giggles. ''Aww, thanks!'' she mutters at the bear, and slowly holds it above the chair, twisting it so it would get a good look of the cabin before pulling it close to her again. ''See anything?'' she asks, and waits for a short moment before grunting. ''Harumphf.. you didn't see anything?'' she grumbles and slowly puts the teddy bear on her head. ''Alright, i shall get a look myself, gosh!'' Appearing behind the seat for a second time, she looks around. It seemed that the cabin was still okay, and there were two silhouettes close to her apparently talking to each other. They seemed suspicious.. too suspicious.. maybe they were the ones who had stopped the train from moving! And they were perhaps planning to make their escape! Not on Sleuth's watch.. or.. clock.. or.. well, she wouldn't let them get away that easily! ''I got yooooou!'' she squeaks, and flutters out from her cover, tackling into Photo Finish. '' You shall not escape!'' she squeaks loudly, and wraps her hooves around the mare, having clinged onto her. '' I know you did thiiiiiiis!'' she yelped, as she starts pointing her hoof at the other mare as well. ''You shall not escape.. eitheeeeer!''
  2. Looking behind him, the buffalo came to realize he didn't stand that much of a chance. The jack had apparently thought up a plan to 'take the train' to catch up with him, whilst the jenny was still very much on his tail. Honovi, you stupid buffalo! What to do.. what to do.. when suddenly! “Er, y’ realize he’ll jus’ run away from the train, right?” Oh, that was quite the good idea! Way to go, mind! But wait, that wasn't his mind telling him what to do! It was that.. jenny, chasing after him. She seemed either really dumb or just very.. playful. Since the former seemed very unlikely, he chuckled quietly, as he started running away from the train, darting into an alleyway quickly. Let's see them keep up now!
  3. Slowly nodding, the colt smiled faintly at Applejack. Well, there you go, at least that's settled. He wasn't going any where for the time being, and just remained leaning against the stall gently. Besides, he still had a lot to learn about these.. kisses. It seems the mare had made sure a other member of the Apple family was to take care of it. Uncle Strudel? What a curious name. He was to make sure to keep the hundred bushels apart. He wanted to start a conversation with him, but it seemed that he was busy talking with the elderly mare standing close to him. Maybe i should wait? thought the colt briefly, and nodded quietly as he looked back at who was at the stall. It was that one mare, that was trying to out-bid him, if he remembers clearly. He grunts and chuckles shortly after. She must've had quite the bits, well, five hundred of them, for starters. He had to admit, she was persistent, if not a little stubborn about it, which was admirable.. in a way. He noticed that she took matters into her own hoofs and gave Applejack a kiss by herself. Well, she certainly knew how to be initiative! Chuckling, he slowly took off his glasses and started to polish them. ''.. Well, that's one way to kiss somepony..'' he muttered under his breath and chuckled again.
  4. Ah, thanks for your input! I've added a bit of information about his cutie mark, i hope it's okay now!
  5. You got the puns right, yet.. even though the theme is obvious, could'ja put it above it? :3
  6. Good day, and Welcome to my thread! :3 Assuming you are familiar with puns, how 'bout you try to have as many puns in one sentence? All you have to do is choose a theme, and then write a sentence with a few or as much puns as you can think of! For example! Theme: Sea ''I'm shore this is will make you sea that this will be fun!'' So, have fun with this.. i-dunno-if-it's-good-idea! ( I am also aware there is a different Pun-related thread up, yet.. uh.. this is slightly different! )
  7. The colt nodded and chuckled. ''A bill? Seems like a good idea..'' he said, and patted his chin, before clearing his throat and started trying to imitate Applejack's voice. ''Dis 'ere honest enough fella could be a ..less honest enough fella!'' he said, as he chuckled lightly. ''.. no offence or anything..'' he said, reassuring the mare that he was merely kidding with the brilliantly terribly faked accent. ''Wait for the apples, hmm?'' he muttered, and nodded. ''Then waiting with the kiss seems like a good idea.. '' he says, as he slowly trots away from the front of the stall, only to lean against the side of it. ''.. i'll be here, waiting, if that's okay ofcourse!'' he asks, and grins sheepishly. He might as well stick around for a bit longer, it seemed like a fun thing to do. Besides, he had to study kissing and such a bit more than he has already done!
  8. Oh, sorry, yes. It is final again, i should've commented on that, my bad!
  9. So red.. so round.. so.. apple-y, the colt thought, as he was still busy staring at the apples. Survey had barely noticed himself get further and further into the line and finally, as the mare started talking to him, he snapped out of it. ''Heh? Wha? Waiting line?'' he asked and grunted, levitating his glasses away from his face as he started rubbing his eyes gently. ''I didn't even notice it was my turn.. hmphf..'' he added, chuckling afterwards rather awkwardly. ''Oh, yes, hundred bushels, yes.'' he said, putting his glasses back on and adjusting them briefly. ''..That's..'' he chuckled and scratched his head. ''.. alot of bits, right?'' he asked, and smiled faintly. ''How much bits do you need from me? I really am terrible at math.. and .. apples..'' he mutters, and rolled his eyes. As he had barely even followed what was going on, all he could hear were the yells and screams of mares chasing after Pigpen and the chit-chat from the ponies behind him. The line was still rather long, surprising him lightly. Then again, these apples were rather tasty looking.. and that mare wasn't too shabby either!
  10. Hmmm.. it seemed this lock .. required a key! Sadly, Sleuth didn't have a key on her! How unfortunate! She giggled to herself before tapping her chin lightly in thought. ''.. Hmmmm... no key.. a rusty lock.. i've got it!'' she says, and flutters up slightly, as she slowly starts flying backwards. ''.. Three.. five.. seven.. two.. nine... one!'' she calls out, as she flies - or rather, floats - forwards, bumping against the gate. This seemingly had little to absolutely no effect, as only a quiet thud was heard along with the metal cling that was made by the lock. It didn't take too long for Sleuth to notice her effort had not made a difference to the current state of the lock. ''.. Awww..'' she mutters, and sighs, slowly planting her flank on the ground as she settles down, having completely missed the gryphon that was watching her from a short distance. With a lock that won't budge and a body that wasn't heavy enough to break through a door, she had to improvise somehow! Lacking any real way of getting through the gateway to the mansion, she had to find somepony else to do it for her! But who should she ask for such a assignment? ''Hmmmm..'' the small filly mumbled out loud, scratching her head. CLINK, CLANK, CLINK, CLANK! Just then, she heard the clinging and clanging of metal from somewhere close-by. Turning her head into the direction of said noise, she saw a knight. Not just any knight, but a knight with big, fancy armor. And not just any big, fancy armor, but shiny big, fancy armor! Smiling from ear to ear the little filly floated over to the filly, rubbing her cheek against the shiny metal plating happily. ''.. Oh, wooooow!'' she says, as she giggles and watches her reflection in the armor. ''.. you have, like, such awesome looking armor!'' she says, smiling broadly at the short knight. ''And it's shiny, too! So, so shiny!'' she claims, and purrs quietly as she continues rubbing her face against it, sadly, not noticing the fellow detective pony arriving to the scene either!
  11. Name : Survey Gender : Colt Gender preference : Not a problem? Location : Depends where i am, to be fair, as i'm usually out on a expedition with Brazil. Age : Older Colt/Young Stallion ( 20 ) Species : Unicorn Species preference : Any species, not limited to ponies either!.. Cutie-Mark : A jigsaw piece!.. this is for my own cutie mark, right? How would you describe yourself, physically? Physically, not very impressive. Meek, slender but tough.. mostly mentally though. I'm also a quick healer, as .. injuries are rather common with me.. _________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ How would you describe your personality? Optimistic most of the time, but.. well, i'm a cynic sometimes. Sarcasm is common with me, yeah.. then again, not exactly my fault.. most of the time! Even though i am rather negative at times, i am not a bad pony, honestly! I couldn't bring myself to even say something mean to a filly.. or.. mare!.. i think! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________ What things in life are important to you? For one, exploring far off lands, finding ancient treasures and trinkets. Even though the thrill usually.. Secondly, puzzles. They continue to fascinate me until no end. Puzzles, riddles, mazes and labyrinths, all are amazing! Thirdly.. serenity. Silence is golden. There's always time to relax, collect your thoughts under a nice cup of coffee is .. highly enjoyable for me!__________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________ What's your idea of the ideal first date? Depends on the pony, but for me, i'd like a quiet place to chat up. Talk about why we actually have written to.. well.. this.. thing. Get a drink, just.. cozy somewhere in a bar whilst trying to get to know each other better. Or just Anything the filly or mare enjoys herself, as i'm not picky. I prefer not to do something too extreme, even though i'd probably still do that. ___________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________ What are you looking for? I'm.. not that picky i think, though i wish not too have a .. rather waspish pony. I honestly just wish for a calm partner, that isn't picky when it comes to brain and brawn. ________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anything else you think we should know? I'm.. an archaeologist.. or rather, i'm the assistant of one. It's not a bad occupation, and i could even take ponies with me onto these expedition! It could be.. like.. a .. vacation of sorts! .. though i'd be surprised if this entire thing actually will end up with actually finding a filly or mare for me. That'd be a shocker! _________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________________
  12. His grin still intact as he heard the jack bray in frustration. Ha ha, it was such fun to taunt that donkey! He was playing along nicely, making the calf chuckle. This was going better than expected! He looked back at the jenny, dropped the case of rootbeer and shrugged. ''Trust me.. s'a good cause..'' he briefly said, before quickly grabbing the case in his mouth again. However, to his surprise, the jenny seemingly was teaming up with the jack. A jenny? That hadn't happened before.. No fillies nor mares have chased him before, as they usually just let the stallions handle it - not that it would be a difference in the end. He scoffed, and quickly darted off as they began chasing him, however not noticing that the jack had thought of a plan already. He looked behind him and glared at the jenny as she called out at him, seeing as the case with the bottles was still in his mouth he had no time to answer. Instead, he hopped over a barrel and kicked it back at the two donkeys as he started sprinting away again. Let's hope that answered her question! They are fast, but are they fast enough to keep up?
  13. The building looked as incredible as it always did, the main difference being the loss of any source of light within the mansion. The city of Baltimare was nearly covered in darkness, as silence filled it's streets. Were all the streets peaceful and quiet? Not all! A little pegasus stood before the gates to the mansion, whilsting as she pushed her head between the bars. ''.. Helloooooo?'' she nearly sang, as she looked around the property. She couldn't remember the garden being that big.. then again, there also used to be a house on that same place! She glanced back at the mansion, sniffed the air and giggled. ''Hatson, my dear, would you agree that we have to get inside?'' she asks the teddy bear that sat ontop of her hat. ''....'' She waited for a moment, before making up a answer to her question herself. ''I know, right? We should totally be able to get in here!'' she squeaked, and giggled again. Even though this filly looked like she was just one of those tourists that enjoyed looking at gigantic momuments, this was not a ordinary filly. She was Sleuth, the pegasus filly who claimed to be a detective and that had recieved her cutie mark in the house she was looking at. Due to the strange circumstances that she had received her cutie mark in, all she wanted to do was get the truth of it. Was it merely the curiousness that had achieved her cutie mark, or was there more behind it? Before she even had a chance to find more clues about the interesting situation, she already was facing a obstacle. An old rusty gate was denying her entrance to her old home. Back during the day when she was still a foal and lived in that big place, the gate was shiny bronze and she was usually found staring at it once she returned home. It was shiny.. so shiny.. Now, said gate remained locked, with the same lock that was left on it when they left it. It was, along with the gate covered in a thick layer of rust. The lock! Ofcourse! The little filly though, as she whipped out the magnifying glass from her bag and held it infront of the lock. Closing the eye she wasn't using and poking the tongue out of her mouth she started to inspect the locker of gates!
  14. Thank you two, so much! Now i can finally start her journey! x3
  15. (( OOC: A rival tribe, perhaps, but the entire tribe is gone from Appleloosa now, and are currently.. somewhere else! There's a chance Thunderhooves might know him, but i doubt it. )) ''Thunderhooves, eh?'' he asked, and scoffed loudly. ''Who's that even?'' he asks. ''Boyfriend o' yours?'' he chuckles, grinning slyly. '' Ah.. no worries.. i don't know him, and i dun' respect those buffalo either!'' he said, poking his tongue out of his mouth at the jack before turning around slightly surprised. Another donkey? A jenny this time, and a cute one at that. Chuckling to himself as he took his top hat off for her. ''Aye, miss!Pleasure to meet ya! I am Honovi, from the .. well, the desert!'' he grinned broadly, and winked. ''Dun' think of me as a ordinary thief.. s'for a good cause..'' he muttered, and put the top hat back on his head before turning around Facing the jack, he grunted. ''My 'plan'?'' he asked, and shakes his head. ''I was merely seein' if i could get a l'il chase going.. wait.. so.. that's.. you...'' he said, pointing at the jack and then turned around and pointing at Gale. ''.. an' you..'' he counted as he slowly picked up the crate. ''.. swhure!'' he chuckled, and started trotting away, trying to whilst but mostly just blowing air out of his mouth as he awaits the others to 'chase after him.'
  16. It looks pretty adorable, too bad there isn't a cutie mark yet!
  17. German studies, they are so.. so.. German-y! Why do i always get the sucky things to do ;A;
  18. He sniffed the air shortly, such a good day it was to go and- wait a second, somepony.. or rather a donkey approached him. He seemed unimpressed that the buffalo had stolen an entire crate of root beer. Pfuh! It was harder than it looked! Stealing the crate was one thing, but escaping with it in your mouth whilst other ponies are trying to catch him aswell was another thing! Regardless... ''Ya'r wonderin' how i got this?'' he asked, and tilted his head. ''Ere in Appleloosa, o'course! Free o' charge!'' he chanted, with a grin. He wasn't sure how he had to approach this, though it seemed rather obvious he just wanted a challenge. ''How fast can ya jog, guy?'' he trotted around the donkey as he wondered out loud. ''Cuz.. ya know, all dese 'ere ponies are just so..'' he groaned shortly. ''Sloooooow...'' he said slowly, making it rather obvious of what he thought of those ponies, ignorant of the fact that some might've heard him. ''Ya agree, right?'' he asked, and chuckled shortly. ''I prefer ya donkey's n' dragons and such..'' he said, rolling his eyes. ''.. Then 'gain.. i haven't met any dragons yet..'' he said, blinking shortly as he looked in the distance very shortly before shaking his head and turning back to the donkey with a sly grin. ''Still, my statement stands.. '' he muttered, taking the case back into his mouth and walked over to a certain house, inhabited by a jenny and her brother. ''Iw krchnowt lwie awfouf dawfd!'' he said, holding the case in his mouth still.
  19. Aw, well, i hope you'll be back, Cat! Someday! x3
  20. Roleplay Type: The Mane RP Name: Sleuth Sex: Female Age: Filly (16-ish) Species: Pegasus Eye Color: White Coat Color: Light Pink (#ffcccc) Mane/Tail/Markings Color; Style: Both her tail and her mane are fluffy, her tail somewhat shorter than her mane and are a darker shade of pink than her coat. (#ff99cc) Physique: Short, weak, light and fragile! Cutie Mark: Her Cutie Mark is a envelope, with a magnifying glass in front of it, zooming in onto the seal of the envelope. Residence: Manehattan, though she moved around a lot between several big and wealthy cities. Motivation: What keeps this little filly motivated? Being a self-proclaimed detective she vows to solve any mysteries she come across, yet many of those are both not her business and remain unsolved – as she isn’t really a detective! Occupation: A detective, but sadly only in /her/ head. In reality, she works as a mailmare. Likes: Plushies, Mysteries, The color Pink, her parents and her friends! Dislikes: Anybody that will harm her teddy bear, icky things, unsolved mysteries – which she just HAS to solve, if it’s the last thing she does! Character Summary: Sleuth, a filly whose mind is as cloudy as all the clouds in Cloudsdale combined, whose mane is as fluffy as ten sheep bundled up next to eachother and whose body is as fragile as glass and light as a feather is a very curious little filly that is rather easy with forgetting the rules. This curiousness leads to her eagerness to find out about every little thing that has yet to be found out before anybody else, yet she isn’t as competitive as other ponies about it. With the attention span of a squirrel and the logic of a foal, she remains positive whenever she gets the chance to fix a problem or solve a mystery – though many of these remain unsolved primarily due to her attempts of retrieving clues. Even then, she has to put down the magnifying glass and her other detective accessories as she still has a job working as a mailmare, however this is mostly only used as a way to trick her parents into leaving her alone to do the sleuthing. By mostly using the time she should be at work she uses to be the detective she always wanted to be, she is often very late. To her dismay, her wings are not very broad and are rather fluffy. Her feathers often get loose, and twirls after her as she tries to stay in the air. As her wings are weak, she has trouble flying and most of the time merely flutters around in the air before perching onto the ground and then fluttering back up. This usually gives the appearance that she's hopping up and down. Her biggest friend of all time, the one friend she could never depart from will always be her teddy bear, Hatson. This plush she carries everywhere, and always supports her during her investigations. She has made this bear her assistant, and usually acts as if he was real and thus talks to him as if he could react and talk back to her. This bond between these two gets to the point where Sleuth would fight with the power of twelve manticores to get him back. So beware! History: Sleuth grew up in a big mansion, with a close relation with her parents. Her parents were wealthy, and really tried to give Sleuth everything her heart desired. Yet all she wanted was a plush bear! This resulted in her getting Hatson, who currently is her best friend ever and her personal assistant. As her parents were rich, they often moved from city to city, dragging Sleuth along with her which resulted in her having to leave any friends she had made behind. Granted, this usually weren't alot of ponies, but this resulted in her bonding with her teddy even more, even trying to have full discussion with it when she was alone. Due to her curiosity she often searches through the houses she stays in and often finds valuables, which are stored into a small chest that she carries in the bag she carries around as a mailmare. How this little filly got her cutie mark? That is a case left unsolved by the curious Sleuth. Everybody who tells her what it means says something different. Even so, due to that she did get the job as a mailmare, as they thought she was good with letters. Boy, were they wrong! Even though how she got it included a odd letter.. It was the day when she had to move out of the mansion she had to leave behind before she finally settled in Manehattan. Sleuth, being curious as she always has been was searching the attic of the house in a desperate try to find anything that might seem shiny or cute or just anything to her taste. The dusty, dark attic was filled with many empty boxes, chests and cases which - as the word 'empty' implies - held nothing that interested her. However, once her so-called assistant Hatson told her to push away a few boxes - which took a few tries, as she was not at all strong, so she was very delighted that they all had no content - she found a beautiful chest. The chest, covered with a layer of dust, looked both very old and very interesting. As interesting it was, the filly couldn't stand the idea of waiting until it was revealed what was in it, and thus started lifting up the lid. However, instead of anything she had thought it was, all that was in the chest was a envelope. The filly huffed and puffed in protest, still wishing it was something more shiny, yet did pick up the envelope. She studied it as much as she could, before she heard the yell of her mother. ''Sleuth, dear, we have to go!'' Slightly panicking, the filly places the envelope back into the chest and closes it, running downstairs as she gets on the chariot with her parents, onward to her new home for the coming years, when on the chariot she noticed she had gotten a odd cutie mark on her flank. She agreed it looked rather nice, yet since it is a mystery how and why she got it, she is bound to solve the mystery of her cutie mark some day, but before that day the little filly stays behind her idea of it being the mark of a true detective, making her even more motivated to becoming one! Clothing: She wears her trademark baker-boy hat, which is a faded shade of purple, red striped knee socks, the stripes being brightly pink together with a red scarf, Being a mailmare, she also carries around a shoulder bag – since that’d make no sense for a pony, she usually just carries it around her neck – which has a few buttons put on it by herself trying to add a bit of ‘flair’ to delivering mail. In the bag she keeps the mail she usually forgets to deliver, a magnifying glass to find even the most miniscule clues, Hatson is often found in the bag aswell, unless she places him on her own hat to provide a nice view whilst travelling. A chest, which includes any of the valuables she had salvaged from the houses she used to live in. The only other things in her bag are some snacks, which she usually feasts on whenever she takes a break from all the mystery solving. ( Sleuth's artwork by the very, very amazing Clockwise! )
  21. Even though everything has probably been said that you need to know.. even so! Welcome to Canterlot! I'll hope i'll see you around some time and that your stay will be enjoyable! ^^
  22. Oh wait! The colt thought, seeing a other pony talking to Pathfinder. Darn you, Survey, you should've paid more attention! The now rather awkward Survey merely chuckled for a short moment, before smiling equally as awkward. ''.. uhm.. yes!'' he said, before retreating back into the line. Way to go on communication, Survey. Rejoining the cue, the light green colt sighed, looking around him - and besides the ponies and the barn, the only thing he could really look at were the apples. Though they seemed rather.. red. Very red, even! With the colt getting rather fascinated with the landscape - and apples, sheesh! Was he getting hungry! - all de did was waiting untill it was his turn in the cue.
  23. The colt chuckled awkwardly and cleared his throat before speaking to Cherry again. '' Well, uhm.. heh.. uhm.. i am sure i tasted them, i know that!'' he says, and grinned at the mare for a short moment. She seemed like.. rather rich individual, especially if she could best his offer. In reality, he didn't actually have trice the price of the apples, but that aside he would've gone way further than that amount to get them! Even if he didn't have it, that is! For now, all he could do was humor himself before buying some apples. And now that he had walked over to Cherry, that might take a bit longer. Well, these moments could be used to chat with some of the others aswell, right? the colt thought, and turned around. The first pony he spotted seemed to be a rather frustrated over.. her brain. '' P-Problems with your head? '' he asked her, and idly trotted over to her. '' ..Need a hoof.. or.. rather.. need a brain? '' he asked, chuckling lightly before grunting and looking away. '' That was.. terrible!.. '' he whispers to himself, stomping on the ground lightly before quickly shifting back to Pathfinder. '' I mean.. uhm.. can i help? '' he asks again, trying to forgot he said what he said.
  24. The colt grunted, and glared at Cherry again for a short moment before easing up. '' Uhm.. yes, nevermind..'' he says, smiling at her gently. ''.. sorry?'' he muttered, and chuckled. Boy, was he overreacting! He just wanted those apples, but he was being too pushy once again. He then heard a rather excited voice coming from the stall where the kisses and apples were being sold. ''Hmm-?'' he stopped himself before even being able to say anything and just looked funny at the mare behind the stall.. who seemed to be dancing. ''.. Did we just make her.. dance.. of.. happiness?'' he asks Cherry, and tilted his head at the odd sighting. It did make him feel kinda good, as.. when somepony has to sell kisses just to get more apples sold, kinda needs the bits! ''Oh, that's great!'' he said, in response to the fact that there were more than enough bushels for the both of them. He did turn back to the mare that tried to best his offer. ''.. Uhm.. you did say Apple Cherry Pies, did you not?'' he asks, and smiles broadly. ''I love those!'' he says, excitedly. ''I had a bunch of those when i was in Appleloosa! They were great! ..Are you the.. uhm.. '' he tapped his chin. ''.. the.. boss of .. the place they are from?'' he asks, chuckling awkwardly.
  25. Survey, merely getting more and more confused by the chaos, could only hear the little filly yell about what he had to get for the expedition. What? It was a big expedition! ''Uhm, yeah.. about.. a hundred bushels..'' he quietly laughed, and kicked the ground. Was it really that much? He only needed a big amount of apples to take on the expedition, And Sweet Apple Acres seemed like a great place to get supplies from, right? ''I.. won't be taking all of them with me, ofcourse..'' he said, chuckling awkwardly. ''There'll be.. uhm.. some ponies picking them up, eventually..'' he adds, before frowning a bit. ''.. i.. think, atleast..'' he adds, before glancing into the distance. ''But regardless..'' he said, as he quietly continued leaning onto the stall. However, after he heard a loud voice call out to Applejack about buying a hundred bushels for double the prize, he stomped the ground. ''Hey! No way! I was first!'' he whined, as he trotted up to Applejack. ''I.. i.. i'll pay trice the price!'' he said, as he glared at Cherry Jubilee, and trotting up to her aswell. ''I need these, for my ..'' he coughed. ''.. or rather, my boss's crew!'' he noted, as he raised his eyebrow at her. ''.. wait, did you say free Apple Cherry Pies?''
