1. What ive seen: Ponied are surprisingly combat capable, well at least the citizens of ponyville. Big Mac: "By the mane of Miyagi!" Was Dr. Whooved fiddling with a sonic screwdriver? On Kodokuna's point about nightmare rarity, not hurting anyone. 1. Why would she hurt someone whrn she had an army. 2. A villain does need to take action to prove they are a threat for the sake of plot. She dropped Luna effortlessly, so goal accomplished. 3. Remember that this is MLP. The ponies most active in the fight were scuffed, bruised, had damaged clothed and cracked glassed/goggled. Octavias cello was even broken. Thats about as hurt as anyponys going to get unless they give the comic license to like marvel and up the rating to teen-adult. On the other point about how it wasnt explained why she chose rarity. Im pretty sure it was alluded to twice then said by rarity. So we know exactly why Rarity was chosen. The Nightmare didnt have to spoon feed those things to us. They were incorporated organically. Overall I enjoyed both arcs equally for different reasons. I cant pick a best. Arc one was a nice adventure, chrissy was charismatic and devious and thier was a nice team dynamic. Arc two had ramped up danger, a much more personal story on two fronts, pinkie being a genius, a nice bit of characterization for luna rarity and spike. My only question... When the heck does this take place? My ides is that the arcs arent in chronological order. Also conflicts with Luna Eclipsed.
2. Spaced, Nexar, and Splits players all posted. Anyway the announcement is that we are fast approaching Marelia. Now, I'd like to somewhat clean up the rp by starting a posting order. I don't know what the order will be yet, but I'll have it by the time we get to Marelia. We are also going to start using a dice system, created by Nexar and myself, for use with skills and special.
3. Application for this rp is officially closed. Also I expect a post from each player by Saturday, then im moving the rp forward.
4. Sorry Mustang, but im not taking new players right now. However, keep the character. This wont be my last FoE rp.
5. Makes me wonder if it actually wsd teleportation. One of my dreams wad to draw graphic novels. The animation is universal almost, like almost. From what I saw, it suggested a burst of super speed. Magically induced obviously.
6. This issue was really intense. a lot focus on Rarity and Spike, I like that. Apparently grabbing a unicorns horn may keep them from spell casting... Interesting. More on the Nightmares powers, always nice to hear. That boy Spike has so much heart, I honestly felt bad for him.
7. Also let it be known that Nexar is CO Gm. Our word is law, please feel free to come to us with any concerns(plotline related: me; gameplay related: Nexar)
8. Chronarch w/Twilight New Citadel Infirmary Room #377 "Of course it didnt, if it had been that easy they'd be found already." He took the Keystone in his hoof. As it made contact his his fur, he felt electrified. Having the artifact felt good... It felt right. He hated it, no pony should hold such power. For a brief moment Twilight's face wore an expression of longing, but she threw it out just as quickly as she felt it. Chronarch made a mental note to keep his "distance" from the artifact, just in case. "Twilight, I'll do everything in my power to find these Keystones, youve got enough on your plate." Using his magic he started removing the IVs and the air tube from his nose. "I appreciate thier enthusiasm, but all if this was unnecessary." Chronarch chuckled lightly as he rubbed the sore spots on his leg. Slowly, he slid out of bed and trotted over to the plastic bag containing his possessions.
9. Chronarch, w/ Twilight Sparkle; Infirmary Room #377 of the New Citadel Her touch upon his wound sent an electric feeling throw his entire body. it drained magic from her the amount was miniscule, but he could feel it all the same. The wound was magical in nature, as such it thrived on mana, but only Chronarch magic could cause the fissure on his face to expand. At first, he was simply lulled by the touch. A single glance at Twilight’s doleful expression was enough to make him shy away and direct his scarred face at the nearest wall. “Don’t... Just don’t... This isn’t your fault. My injuries are the result of a deal made in haste, for all of the wrong reasons. I was such a foalish colt, but it’s finally catching up to me.” He forced a chuckle, but quickly stopped after hearing Twilight blame herself for what was happening. Using his magic, he rummaged through the bag and retrieved his eye patch. One of his boots was still intact as well so he retrieved that as well. With both his scarred eye and leg covered, he turned to address her. “No. Never think like that. No pony can know everything, account for everything... We all slip sometimes and when a pony is as high up as you they have so much further to fall... so much that relies you it feels like it’s all your fault, but really what could you have done? How far ahead would you have needed to know for it to matter in the end?” He said calmly. “All you can do... Is be better than you were yesterday.” Slowly he reached up with his hoof and wiped away her tear. “Self doubt doesn’t suit us.” “It’s good to hear that I got her out in one piece.” His ears back and his face sank into a deep frown at the news about Freelancer. He trusted them even less than Twilight, an organization with that much to hide never had one hundred percent good intentions. Extend one hoof in friendship, arm the other. Sadly, they couldn’t afford to worry about Freelancer’s ulterior motives at the moment, Pierrot and his forces was too much as it was. All they had to do was let the Freelancer know that G.E.F. had teeth and would bite if they overstepped their boundaries. “I can’t say that I’ll rest easy with them at our backs. I’d rather be stabbed in the chest if I get a choice, but their resources make them a good valuable ally. I trust your judgement.” He nodded. “The group that Shining Armor is in, I remember.” His ears fell back onto his head. “You and I both would have been kidding ourselves if we expected it to end in some way other than blood and fire.” He studied the magic artifact with keen eyes. The mage in him was fascinated by the objects latent magical power; the physicist in him wanted find some way to quantify the objects properties. “So that’s what you created with the Elements. And these keys are the method for finding and controlling the Goliath... ” He sighed, then reached out and gently turned her face so that they were looking each other in the eyes. “Twilight, it’s the responsibility of the strong to protect and guide the weak. In times like these we have to give our everything... I’m no exception. You brought this up to me for a reason: because you knew that I was the best pony to handle this. I’d rather be burned alive than live in Pierrot’s world because the pony you got in my stead was a little too or slow, or not smart or strong enough to finish the task.” His eyes narrowed as he fell into thought. “You say you don’t know what they are or where they are, but we do know that the keys are related to each other and the Goliath... Tell me have you tried feeding the key magical energy to force resonance? The magical ping it would cause could possibly reach across the nation, causing the signal to reverberate off of similar concentrations of magic and return to you as some sort of feedback... If that works, it would aid greatly in searching for them.”
10. Chronarch w. Twilight, Citadel Infirmary, Room #377 Chronarch's senses stretched far while he meditated. He could tell how out of sorts he was, normally hed be able to pick on an individual he knew from across the city just from their magical energy, but now... Everything was muddled, the only details he could get were concentration. On most occasions, hed simply use his meditation time to scourge his mindscape and reflect on the past. He didnt have that luxury now thought, all of his focus was on rewinding time around his injured flesh and tracking the huge concentration of magic that was approaching him. At first he mentally prepared several defenses, but quickly decided to drop them when he noticed how casually the magic travelled through the Citadel. His physical senses were equally muddled as well too the point that he could just barely make out a conversation outside of his door. All he knew was that the mass of magic he had been tracking was there. Before he could fully collect his thoughts the magic was upon him. Chronarch was mentally tense for awhile ready to strike out that the intruder if needed to. A voice pierced the fog of his mind. The sound was much more clear than anything else around you. It was soothing, just as fast as his defenses were prepared, he let them fall, opting instead to focus on his company. When Twilight held his foreleg, the effect on Chronarch's mind was like lightning on a pale of water. The haze of restoritive trance instantly evaported rapidly restoring his sense. Twilight. He thought. "It's been some time since I've heard that name." he whispered. A cut on his cheek finished knitting itself closed as he slowly turned his head to face her. His eyes opened slowly, one completely normal, but the other was wrong... The white of his eye had been replaced by a solid nonreflective black and a faintly glowing gold replaced his amber iris. Small golden cracks litered his face around the damaged eye.
11. Chronarch, Citadel Infirmary, room 377. The rhythmic beeping of Chronarch's life support machinery filled his room. Many thought the stallion was a martyr for his action during the terrorist attack. The problem with that was to be a martyr, one has to die and thats something the stubborn stallion had no plan on doing. Not while the nation needed him...not while Twilight needed him. The heart rate monitors readings started to pick speed up as the comatose stallion stirred under his sheets. His senses returned to him slowly, one by one. First, his magical awareness. Chronarch could feel power surging back into him, allowing his time spells to stitch his flesh back together and repair his injuries. Second his hearing returned, it was faint, but he could hear the equipment around him and the guards outside of his door. He chuckled at the thought he'd never needed to be protected before, but hed also never been unconcious for... His mind drew a blank. Once his injuries healed his personal his injury stasis spell wore off allowing him to feel again. Immediately, he was assaulted by the stinging pain of his damaged eye and foreleg. That alone was reason enough for him to stay put for a little while. But worst of all was the smell, the sterile stench of alcohol burned his nostril like a slow burnings fire. The odor dominated the room and threatened to make the stallion gag. He hated this smells, it usually meant that something went horribly wrong. He could get up and leave now if he wished, but his magic wasnt fully restored. Bed rest and meditation were the best was for severely depleted unicorns to quickly regain strength. Easing back into his pillow, he closed his eyes and fell into a trance.
12. I like to call that the nightmare period. Wake fall asleep if you dare! You'll be lost in the morning.
13. Name: Chronarch (original name: Regulus) Age: Over 500 Appearance: Large built stallion, looks to be in the prime of life. White coat and black a slicked back mane. His tail is tied off at the end with a white ribbon. Both his mane and tail are black with a gold and an amber streak through them. His eyes are amber. **Updated: Chronarch is now usually bound head to hoof in white leather armor with gold trimmings and a large dagger holstered on his side. His right eye is covered by an eye an eye patch and his right foreleg is bandaged. The ensemble is completed with a red an gold hooded cloak that uses the G.E.F. emblem as the clasp. Gender: Stallion Faction: Grand Equestrian Federation Occupation: G.E.F. Arch Mage, Twilight’s personal consultant, and when the need arises, heavy magical combat unit. Goal/ Motivation: To serve the G.E.F. and Red Fox. **Updated: To protect Twilight Sparkle and guide her in whatever endeavor she takes up. Background Story (Condensed): After Luna’s fall Chronarch and Equestria’s circle of mages started to doubt the integrity of their immortal rulers and decided to create contingency plans in case Celestia became corrupt. Celestia made a decision that angered the nation, forcing Chronarch and the Circles hand. Chronarch led the coup, but at the final confrontation with Celestia he learned that one of the magi was a double agent. Celestia offered a deal, and all of the other magi took it leaving Chronarch to face them all down alone. He killed all of the magi and stalemated Celestia until she pulled out her trump card, the crystal stasis spell, sealing him in magical crystal for five hundred years until Twilight(Red Fox) released him. He swore his allegiance to the G.E.F. and Red Fox becoming both sword and Polymath for the nations new order. **Updated: Once Red Fox revealed herself as Twilight Sparkle, Chronarch couldn’t help but notice that the mare shared his unique hair which was carried solely by magically gifted unicorns in his family lines. He was an only child and his parents were died at a young age, but he was married, he confirmed his suspicion through a time scry. Twilight was his ancestor. He revealed this to her before the destruction of Equinia, allowing their relationship to evolve past one of master and subordinate, to one of distant family and friends. After Chronarch transported Twilight to the recently devastated capital, he entered the Aether in an attempt to quickly locate rescue Twilight’s adopted foal. He failed in that endeavor but saved hundreds of innocents during his time in the plane; however, he was injured far more grievously than he let on, causing his power to grow uncontrollably and compromising his mental stability. During the reconstruction and restoration of Equinia Chancellor Rainbow Dash expressed her desire to spend time with Chronarch. She took him a bar in the Celestial Quarter for a drink and a moment of relaxation. The peace was then shattered by a terrorist bombing, targeting the Chancellor. Not fully recovered from his prior stunt, he was force to strain his abilities again to save Rainbow Dash and as many innocents as he could. The stress from new injuries and his magic, in the end, proved too much for the Stallion. After dragging himself and Dash out of the rubble, he fell into a coma.
14. That gravity falls reference. But anyway, all in all it was a nice read. As an avid consumer or comics and books that tend to jump between creative teams im use to adjusting to different styles of delivery. So that aspect just isnt something I subtract points for.

All he does remember are his name and the words "grievous injuries" and "five point seven three chance of survival". Everything after that is a haze, until he found himself floating in a tank started awake by sirens (some sort of power failure maybe). He had no idea where he was but he definitely didn't feel comfortable in there so he broke out of the tank. His claws landed on the floor first with a metallic clank, he didnt remember if this was normal so he paid it no mind. He wandered around the facility which he learned was called stable 101 from the markings on the walls and the signs above the doors. The place was full of ponies, some with metal parts like him others without. During his wondering he stumbled across some ponies dressed differently with the word "security" written across their clothing. When they saw him the called for a "Doc Slaughter" over a wall intercom, he wasnt close enough to hear the entire context of the statement but he did hear "subdue" come out of the voice box. They tried and failed horribly, before one of the security ponies passed out he pressed an alarm and called out berserker through the intercom. Before Arik knew it he was surrounded by ponies with pistol and small caliber smgs. He barely flinch, but it was enough for them to open fire on him. He got down and covered himself with his wings and stayed like that for a a brief second. The pain was intense but not what he expected, actually the fact that he survived to the salvo to think about surprised him as well as the security ponies. After a few moments of confusion, one of the ponies screamed "sub dermal weave, grenade now!" Arik snapped out of his slack jawed stated and dashed straight at the ponies infront of him crashing through their line, somehow he knew he was headed in the right direction, how he knew didnt matter he just wanted out. He plowed through several other groups of ponies on his way until after several minutes of sprinting he found his exit, and when he got there it just opened for him. "Too easy he thought." But there was his way out and he'd at least try to see where it took him. Several days of wandering and he had finally come to the conclusion that this place was a freaking wasteland (yea i know right?). He decided that he'd take a rest on a small rock, he took up the position and began to drift off to sleep. Before he could even close his eyes fully he was awoken by screeches. A band of griffons must have followed followed him from the stable. They all could fly so fleeing wasn't an option. Arik took to the skies and met his attackers head on, their small arms fire did nothing but break skin and make him feel uncomfortable, whereas the energy weapons burned his flesh and made his underlying muscle warm up. He lashed out at the first griffon and slashed at his armor cause little damage. symbols flared up in his face as he battle with the griffon, the one that caught his attention though was a small picture of talons with the words "super heat" written over them, he focused on the word and symbol until he was pulled out of his pseudo - trance by a slight humming in his left arm. He looked down and saw that his Left talon had began to glow white hot, so he lash out with it again, this time easily cleaving armor, flesh and bone instantly killing his foe. The other griffons flew back a little at the sight, but not to flee. They brought their weapons to bare on Arik and opened fire, he avoided alot of it by flying but he was still getting hit to often by energy guns and i was starting to heat up his muscle causing sever aches through his side. He couldnt get close enough to fight, but he couldnt see where the fallen griffon dropped his weapon either. Two symbols flashed in his eyes, this time one was the an image of a cannon with a coil around it label Gauss rifle the other was a square with a small rectangular barrel coming out of it labelled gatling laser. Unsure of what gauss meant he focused on gatling laser and right before his eyes his right arm began to rearrange itself into a small gatling laser. He pointed his arm at the group of griffons and unloaded his laser payload, they began to drop like flies. Four were left, when their leader called the retreat, they took off in the direction of the stable as fast as they could. An out of range warning flashed in Arik's eyes so he figured he'd see what this gauss rifle was. His arm transformed again and this time into a more slim weapon with a presicion scope on top. He looked through and locked on to one of the fleeing griffons, he pulled the trigger and his arm let out an audible hum as the slug was fired from his arm. He took out one of the fleeing griffons as he readied his next shot he noticed one of the griffons turn around and ready a rocket launcher. He wasn't ready, the griffon launched his missile. Arik fired straight through the missile when it was only a few feet away from him, he took out the griffon but the explosion knocked him out causing him to plummet to the ground. He woke up in a bed, with bloody bandages around his head and torso. He asked where he was out loud, but he didnt expect an answer. A female voice answered by saying Arbu. He tried to sit up but was stopped by a lime green earth pony mare, who suggested that he stay still because of his injuries. Arik ripped off the bandages and declared that he was fine (he didnt trust this mare), when he lean up further a sudden sharp pain shot through him and he coughed up a small amount of blood (internal bleeding from hydrostatic shock). She offered him some "radgator soup", and he reluctantly agreed. He spent the next few days healing his internal injuries. Once he was healed up he participated in radgator hunt and easily slew many of the creatures. They feasted in his honor that night. He continued to live with the mare (Peach Fields), over the next few months they became close friends and eventually lovers. Upon their marriage the town revealed to Arik that they were cannibals. They attempted to get him to perform their rite of passage and earn an Arbu mark so they he could vote on the council, but he declined and simply said that his defense of the town and the love of his wife was enough for him. Years pased and eventually his wife died to illness, with nothing in town to really occupy him he took to flying around the wastelands and taking odd jobs to fill his time. One day he left on one of these odd jobs only to return to a village of slaughtered corpses. He was sad and enraged all at the same time yet, he knew something like this would happen one day. It was only a matter of time until their cannabilism brought the wrath of somepony with the friends and firepower to wipe them out. He cleaned out the town and buried the bodies. Sadly he began a new chapter of his life...rebuild Arbu into something. Personality: A little paranoid because of his amnesia and the fact that those griffons who attacked him after his escape never showed up again, other then that he's level headed most of the time and very ambitious. He puts everything he can into his whatever he's doing and respects everyone he meets until given a reason not to. He has a heart of gold and tends to help anyone he finds struggling in the wastes, often times offering them stable living in Arbu. Even though he is probably just trying to fill the hole in his heart left by his deceased wife and missing memories. Arik pretends to be foolish, not to say that he doesn't enjoy all the flirting, jokes, and general craziness that he indulges in, but to call it a ruse just isn't fitting because he's not faking. It's not uncommon for those around him to be surprised by his intelligence and combat proficiency when he actually tries to accomplish something productive, seeing as he usually shows that side of him only in dire situations. He really hates to fight seriously for extended periods of time, because the adrenaline and the cybernetics bring out a part of him that he doesn't like.

The pony doesn’t match the armor is what many of her battle brothers say. Mercyless to her enemies, but kind and loving to her charges, Twist is a mare of many faculties and a multilayered pony who doesn’t even try to hide many of her feeling behind a trained facade. Though she lets her emotions out, they never control her, instead they fuel her. History: Strawberry Twist’s past is a dark place and few other than the Elder and the ponies of the squad that rescued her know of her origins. Twist’s parents are unknown, but at some point in her foalhood she was taken in by a highly barbaric and cannibalistic bandit cult. The cult believed that their warrior goddess would one day return to smite their enemies and fill their ranks with more goddess warriors, seeing the young Twist’s future beauty the decided not to kill the foal, but to instead raise her as a warrior. By the time she reached maturity, the young filly had more blood on her hooves than ponies three times her age and ten times the skill. That didn’t matter though, seeing as she had completely the first half of her “true purpose” and now it she was old enough for the second half of her purpose her combat merits were worthless. For almost eight years she was caged and bred every season like a racehorse. Force to watch as her foals were, if male, killed and eaten or if female, raised and subjected to the same brutality that she endured. Strawberry could do nothing more than become numb to world and retreat into the her mind. There she found a friend, it was her, but not her... like all being in that dark place it was like the her that wanted to care for her foals and raise them could be separate from the monstrous killer that the bandits had created. Surprisingly the two facets of herself got along. One night, there was a commotion that she knew all too well, gunfire. Also as quickly as it started the bandit camp went silent again. Then she heard the metal clanking steps. Four ponies burst into her cell, all clad in strange armor. She tried to stand against them, but her body was too weak, and she fainted the moment she rose to her hooves. Over the next few months Twist learned many things from the Steel Rangers that took her in. She learned that they were in a city named Stalliongrad, she learned that her new family were the protectors of all that was within the walls of the Stalliongrad and that they would help any who came to them. The entire feeling of the city warmed her, she had a place to call home and a family. Once her body was healed and back in tip top shape she approached Head Paladin Storm Surge and told him that she wanted to fight, to protect her new home. Nearly 20 years later Storm Surge is Elder and Strawberry Twist is Star Paladin. Years of combat and training have turned her into a force of protection for the weak. She is one of the best Rangers at the Elder’s disposal and is trusted with the most dire tasks the Rangers need handled. Storm Surge allowed her to make a special team to deal with high priority missions. The Elder, though confident in her abilities isn’t sure that she’s dealt with her past yet, so he’s given her the assignment to handle the Commonwealth occupation of Marelia as a test, a trial by fire, to see if she can handle the position of Sentinel.
17. Gale force is in this thing! You're accepted, feel free to post when you want to!
18. You're in Spaced! I saw Mojave instead of Caledonian, but it's fine. You can edit it or whatever, but I know what you're talking about. I'm also curious to if Iris would know anything about Ajax and Split
19. So I guess this whole this is just going to fade into oblivion.
20. Sadly, if dragons follow most mythology, Spike doesn't get the luxury of dying on Twilight. He'll still be writing reports and finding books in 5000 years. Extra points if Spike actually is Twilight's familiar and they are bonded eternally. I think that would be something cool to touch on in s4.
21. Funniest line in the season was said in this episode. Princess Twilight: "Today, I consider myself one of the luckiest ponies in Equestria!" Me: "PFFFTT!! Consider, who else's fortune is even close enough for you to have to think about it?" Most powerful unicorn born since Starswirl. Check Mentoring by the Ruler of an entire nation, said rule also happens to be the God of the Sun in physical form. Check Family being well off from the get go, including a brother who is married to a princess with her own empire. (IE she's sister to an Emperor and Empress) Part of a team who posses the most powerful magical artifacts in the world. Check Repeatedly going hoof to hoof with the most dangerous creatures and villain in the world, and managing to win.(threats include two deranged gods, a murderous shapeshifter, and animmortal being made of shadow matter). Check Finish a spell that the most powerful unicorn in history could complete. Check Get turned into an immortal god and instantly become a co ruler of your nation. check. Me thinks Twi was just being modest... But when your resume is that stacked, modesty can seem really condescending. Anyway about the episode. I smiled all the way through and thats all I want from this show.
