Dragon’s Dogma: Seek the Horizon We've been abandoned. Our Heroine, the Arisen has forsaken us. No one knows for certain what happened after the Arisen arrived at the Tainted Mountain; some say that she died slaying the dragon, others believe that she never went at all. Only one thing is known as a fact, when she entered the dragon’s lair, the world changed. The skies blackened and the heavens cried ashen tears across the land. Half of Gran Soren collapsed into a massive sinkhole of unfathomable depths, a massive scar on the land that spews beasts and monstrosities into the land. In the middle of the chaos, Duke Dragonsbane also fell ill to the point of refusing to see his subjects, all the while claiming his sudden drop in health on the Arisen making a pact with the dragon, turning Gran Soren against the fabled mare. Many of the citizens, having met her multiple times, didn’t believe that the mare would betray us all. The duke, not tolerating sedition, used the guard to exile those (many civilians and most of the Enlistment Corps) who would not discredit the Arisen from Gran Soren. Luckily, the ex-Enlistment Corps troops had a plan. They escorted the exiled to Bluemoon Tower, where they established their own settlement. The ex- Enlistment Corps continued their mercenary work as the Bluemoon Brigade to support the new city. The Bluemoon Brigade has one ultimate goal in mind. Find the Arisen and learn the truth. --------- You are part of the Bluemoon Brigade’s new recruits. It doesn't matter what you were before, vagabond, bandit, priest, all are welcome among our ranks. Our job is to answer the calls of the people of Gransys and beyond while provided for and protecting our community. We've grown far beyond what we expected and now providing for ourselves is taking up most of our personnel. That’s where you come in. The Brigade hasn't forgotten our goal of finding the Arisen and learning the truth behind her disappearance. You and a team of select individual have been chosen to pursue ultimate goal. --------- This is an Rp taking place in the Dragon’s Dogma universe in the country of Gransys. Anyone familiar with the game knows that the scenario above is post- game. While Bluemoon Brigade is my own creation. For those of you unfamiliar with this universe, DD is a brutal dark fantasy rpg. The best way to describe it’s world would be to call it a mish- mash of Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. With that in mind, this will be a brutal dark fantasy RP. Don’t come into this thinking that your OC is a special little snowflake and they won’t get injured, they can and probably will. I expect decent post quality as well as a nice respectful atmosphere (that doesn't count when IC in the rp, but keep it reasonable). Also note that I may have need of a co- GM, so ask about that. In this Rp Changelings and Diamond Dogs take the place of goblins. The large griffons of DD are to the primitive species of the FiM's griffon. While the DD dragons are the superior versions of FiM's dragons. Without further adieu, here’s the app rules and form. --------- Playable Species Ponies (All subspecies except alicorn and crystal. This includes thestrals (Bat-winged pegasi), Du Horns (unicorn version of the thestral), and Drakken (earth pony version of thestrals)) Griffons Young Dragons Diamond Dogs Changelings GUIDELINES: A character may be any known species of higher intelligence in Friendship is magic (plus the ones I added). You may be either the mortal incarnation of that species or a pawn of the same species. A pawn is an immortal, ageless being with little personal ambition and generally dry personalities, but can gain one. They are sworn to the Arisen, though there is no proof that they HAVE to obey them. When killed pawns return to the rift (a meta dimension), but may return through rift stones. Pawns have a scar on their hoof/ talon/ claws that mark them as part of the pawn legion. Your character must come from a known settlement in Gransys or one of the surrounding nations of Hearthstone or Equestria. The settlement’s of Gransys are Cassardis, Gran Soren, Aernst Castle (An all stallion bandit settlement), or Heavenspeak Fort (an all mare bandit settlement). Only unicorns and dragons can be pure spellcaster classes, but anyone can be a hybrid magic class. I’m allowing assassin’s to use longswords and longbows, I am also unlocking the primary/ secondary gear slots for assassins (ie an assassin can carry two primary type weapons if they want). No power gaming. Don’t try to start way too powerfuI. I have "unlocked" equipment from classes (within reason) and abilities from weapons. You may create custom abilities within reason.
