  1. Game of Thrones handles zombies better in a few episodes than The Walking Dead does in the entire show.

I think he's saying that GoT's zombies work better for the show as a whole because they're not the primary focus of the story, and just a part of it.

Kind of what Rose said. In my personal opinion TWD is more generic zombie apocalypse drivel with the added bonus of stupid drama. The whole "zombie takeover" thing has been done to death and at this point it's just lazy writing. The White Walkers and Wights in GoT are different becauses while everything is going wrong in the rest of the world, there's this impending doom waiting for them to the north. To me the idea that the world might have to pay the price for fighting amongst themselves rather than prepare for the coming of winter is a much better use of the dead than "omg zombies are taking over the world."

I'm not really disagreeing with you in that I've been done with zombies for the last half decade while the fad is somehow still going on. I'm not up to date completely on what TWD has been doing with theirs, but it still seems an unequal comparison when the two have vastly different methods and goals for using them. GoT utilizes it so different that I don't even consider the wights in it to even be zombies.

TWD does do the tired method of zombies = human drama thing where humans are the real monsters and yada yada we've read the story a thousand times. The zombies are a much bigger focus, but in GoT, they're just kinda there sometimes as a lingering threat. A backdrop on the much more relate-able issues in the world.
