  1. Luster scooted just a little closer so she could hear what the unicorn was telling her. Her brow raised a bit at the answer for the question of where she was from. "Outside of Equestria?" Her mind went to far flung regions. What was this mare, some kind of explorer of something? But that didn't seem right, she didn't seem to fit the profile of a Daring Do type individual. "Yeah, I'll bet it is..." She pondered as Sunset explained the craziness of where she was from. "And you're a professor?" Then on the more familiar topics. Luster brightened up at the mention of her school. "Yes! I'm a second year now!" Twilight's School for Gifted Unicorns was one of the few places she felt truly comfortable and at home. She was a top notch student and had a deep sense of pride in her accomplishments. Not that she was going to brag. She never did. "So you teach at the School of Friendship huh? Wow! Didn't think I'd be meeting teachers on the train." At that point a vending pony came into the train car. As she came Luster the filly smiled. "Oh good! I'm starved! Can I get a chocolate chip hay biscuit, two oat clusters, and a blackberry fizz please?" She glanced over at Sunset. "You want anything?" After she had her snacks Luster took a bite of the hay biscuit and washed it down with a sip of blackberry fizz. The food and the conversation with the unicorn had helped relieve much of her anziety about going home. "So uh, what subjects do you teach? Oh! And my name is Luster Dawn! It's nice to meet you!"
  2. She was leaning in...she was leaning in! He felt himself start the sweat as his nostrils picked up the provocative scent of mare. Ah geez he needed to get a grip on himself... right now! What had she just said? The stallion shook his head and took a step back, trying to right his topsy turvey brain. This was his chance to develop a friendship that somewhere in the back of his mind he dared to hope might blossom into something more. "O-oh!" He glanced at the door suddenly wishing he could just rush right out and disappear forever. But no, was was working on his pony skills. If he need to force himself to interact with this lovely mare he would do so. For the sake of learning of course. Yes yes! Learning, that was it! Nothing was more dear to him or able to sway him from his natural tendencies. "Ah y-yes! I-it will be uhhhh, great," He swallowed and let out a small breath. "Great to uh fill you in on my recent findings!" He took a step backwards again, pivoting on a hind leg to to hold the door open for her. "Right this way Professor Shimmer!" There that was pretty normal right? Who was he kidding, he'd never get over his awkward ways he just hoped perhaps Sunset would be able to keep taking him in stride. The archaic arts professor trotted down the hallway to catch up with Sunset. His eye hadn't missed her flank as he passed by. Focus. He needed to focus. Get to know her, impress her with his knowledge and findings! "So uh," They were soon upon the door to his office. He pressed it inwards and allowed her entry. "I-i've found something quite intriguing today." As they entered the smell of herbs brewing was not to be missed. He'd left a pot of soothing remedies simmering, the steam of which wafted through the air of the office. He loved that smell. Of anypony Sunburst could do with some relaxation. "Please, sit where ever you're comfortable!"
  3. Female Unicorn Starlight Glimmy Glam PROFILE Role Play Type: World of Equestria
  4. Female Changling (unreformed) Oblivion PROFILE Role Play Type: World of Equestria To There and Back Again Oblivion makes her debut on a lonely mountain trail where AJ and Twi find her.
  5. Name: Starlight Glimmer Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Unicorn Eye color: Gradient of Persian blue Coat: Starlight's coat is plush and soft. Perfect for nuzzling next to a fire if she would only let you. It is the color of pale plum grey heliotrope Mane/Tail: Her mane and tail are moderate to light purple and have one streak of pale aquamarine running through them. She spends time each morning combing and setting her mane. This gives it height past her ears. Her forelocks flow down one side of her face with a slight curl. Her mane is parted behind her ears and slopes down over her neck. Her tail is finely combed and curves downward in the same fashion as her mane. Residence: Starlight has known many a home but she now resides in Twilight School of Friendship and works there as a head counselor. Physique: Just a teeny bit on the plump side not that anypony but herself would notice. She's quite attractive in the looks category and garners many glances from stallions and mares alike which she of course takes in stride. Occupation: Starlight has very much taken to her job as head counselor at Twilight's Friendship School. It keeps her busy and is also a rewarding position. Cutie Mark: A six pointed purple and white star (reminiscent of Twilight's own mark) with two trails of aquamarine of different shades behind it. History: Ah Sire's Hollow, what's not to like? A quaint town with plenty of friendly ponies. Starlight's foalhood was quite idyllic. She grew up with her loving father Firelight watching after her. He was a good dad, showing his little filly how to be a proper mare and also how to have fun! Aside from spending Firelight there was really only one other pony Starlight cared to spend any time with, Sunburst! Sunburst was more than just a close friend to Starlight, he was her everything. The two were pretty much joined at the hip and spent all their time together. They had so much common why would they need any other friends? Starlight spent all of her formative years with her best friend colt, learning, exploring, and growing. All until one fateful day. It was a wonderful day for Sunburst but quite the opposite for his friend. They had been playing with a large stack of books. When the tower began to topple! It was headed straight for Starlight's head when Sunburst let forth a burst a magic and saved Starlight from being crushed! in that instant the colt received his cutie mark! He dashed headlong to show his mother an the rest of the town. Then Sunburst found himself caught up in a swirl of activity. He was enrolled in a school for magically inclined unicorns and poor Starlight was left behind. At first she was angry. She felt betrayed and used. Then she was sad. Depressed that her friend could just forget about her so easily after everything they had been through together. Then she settled on hatred. Hatred of the reason for all of her pain. The accursed cutie mark. She began to loose herself in studies at that point. With no friends she had plenty of time to devote herself to learning magical arts. If Sunburst was going to leave her over magic and over his mark, she'd best him! Firelight tried to bring his daughter out of her sullen state to no avail. Starlight learned and Starlight settled into her festering anger of the cutie mark. Of course all of that learning brought about her own mark. She couldn't have been more irritated the day it showed up. She ran from her father's praise and went straight to the store to purchase a product to cover up the mark. That mark that showed her prowess at magic, her gift of learning that shown through her. She covered it with paint, obscuring anything that would make her stand out, make her different or special. After a few more months she left Sire's Hollow, promising her loving father she would return to visit him. Starlight wandered until she found a place she could set up as her own. It had been a prospecting town long ago and had fallen into ruin. On that spot she founded Our Town. She gathered up other ponies, those that wanted to belong to something bigger than themselves. She became the mayor of the town. From her studies in the antiquities of magic she was able to locate and purchase a tool with which to remove and store cutie marks. Every member of her town went without a mark! That was...except for herself. There was something in her mark that she hated and loved. It reminded her of Sunburst and though she felt betrayed she could not let him go. She kept her mark and covered it, not being able to bare the thought of being without him. It was years later when Princess Twilight Sparkle appeared in her town along with all her friends. Though she tried to combat their intentions, friendship and love won the day eventually. Starlight was reformed only after a long and dangerous battle with Twilight that spurred from what was going on in her won heart. When she surrendered finally she was able to deal with the past. This brought her healing and the ability to accept that ponies should be different and have talents of their own. She began to love her cutie mark and what it represented. Starlight became the pupil of Twilight Sparkle and learned all she could of magic and friendship from the purple alicorn. Eventually Twilight found her a position at the School of Friendship where Starlight works to this day. She is still far from perfect but the magic and friendship was able to take her broken heart and heal it! Character Personality: Starlight is smart, and she's learning to accept it. Where once was a very unsure mare without true direction or self worth is blossoming a wise individual with goals, ambitions, and drive. She's not one to back down but when a challenge arrives it does take her a summoning of courage to tackle it. She's certainly a fun friend, if distracted at times. Her past leads her to be a still growing pony, in intellect and in self worth. When she is challenged beyond what she can handle she often resorts to fuming and it is not unknown for her to chew off a pony's head when she pushed to her breaking point. All this being said she's learning to be kind and is willing to do what it takes to support her friends. Character Summary: Starlight Glimmy Glam's life is a picture of taking the broken and making it shine! She was pulled from a villainous lifestyle bred of the regret of a lost friend and turned to the goodness that can come from blossoming friendship.
  6. Oh! The other unicorn had been lost in thought, or at least that's how it seemed from her initial response. Luster hoped she wouldn't be irritated. That would be no good on top of the unease she was already feeling about going back to where she grew up. She'd left so much there and even thinking of stepping off the train made her anxiety rise. Thankfully the mare seemed receptive to the light conversation. There was something...she didn't quite know...just something about this other unicorn. She couldn't place it exactly. Had they possibly met before? It seemed unlikely. She'd never met another pony with markings like the vibrant yellow unicorn across from her. She scooted a bit closer on her bench. She was intrigued. "Oh! Yes," She glanced out the window at the scenery as it flashed by. Mountains giving way to a pass the tracks were laid through. Further and further north the train trundled, taking her back to a past she wasn't ready to revisit. Luster sighed. "Yes!" She put on a convincing smile...at least by her estimation. "Yes, I'm going too. The wedding is for two um," She glanced at the unicorn, making brief eye contact. "For two old friends of mine." She looked away, deciding to just talk. Perhaps it would take her mind off her anxiety. "I grew up in Hope Hollow. Are you from Ponyville?" She made the deduction based on the train stops before Canterlot.
  7. Glitter ran, snow kicking up in flurries behind her. Koda stretched long into his run up ahead of her and she felt her lungs begin to burn in her pursuit. It was fear. Fear caused the burn, caused the ache in her legs and her chest. It tightened around her body like tentacles, gripping into her flesh. She grit her teeth and caused her stride to lengthen even as the deeper drifts held her back. She tried to match the stride of the mare in front of her, but it was out of her reach. Fizzy was taller than her, longer in the leg. She was braver too. Well, she had been that day. It should have been Glitter going in after the ball. It was her kick that had rolled it into the woods. Her hooves that had caused the irreparable damage on her best friend's life. She gasped, it hurt to think of that moment. Those few seconds that had forever shattered the lives of two mares. BARK! "What is it boy?" She called to the dog but she did not need his reply, even if her could make one. The roar. The unmistakable roar of an ursa. Her gut dropped and she charged headlong towards the grove up ahead. The sound had come from among the trees. Black, skeletal trees, all leaves dropped in the dead of winter. She came among them in a rush, in a flurry of snow and mane. Her eyes took it all in. The beast. The unicorn. The terror. Her breath came in puffs as she calculated what she must do. Koda let off a racket of barking but did not move in. He would wait for his master's move as he always did. She did not call for him though. Glitter charged in as the ursa towered over her friend. Over her beckon of hope and shadow of deepest fears. Over the one her heart longed for and loathed all at once. The one she had loved that had resurfaced in her life like a tidal wave. The one that her heart had longed for and broken for countless times. So countless that she had tossed it to freeze in the wastes of the north. Now here she was, heart on fire racing towards the creature. "Gotta move!" She yelled as she took a leap from the snow and flung herself between Fizzy and the ursa. A huge paw came around, narrowly missing raking her side wide open. The talons found the back edge of her jaw, ripping three cuts into her cheek and up towards her eye. Then came the burst of light. Bright, white, brilliant, it burst forth. From pain, from regret, from longing, from love. It shown so brightly the beast roared and took to all fours. She hit the ground beside the unicorn. Her momentum rolling them both through the snow and away from the ursa by a few yards. By enough to get up and away. Blood obscured her vision as she took to her hooves and fled. There was no fighting a beast of that size. Koda ran next to them barking. She hardly noticed his presence. She was focused on the unicorn. When they were far enough away she glanced to the side. "Fizzy?" Her words dropped away as blood dripped to turn the snow crimson.
  8. Name: Oblivion (Nightshade) Sex: Female Age: Adult Species: Changling (unicorn) Eye color: Oil spill of green, blue, and magenta Coat: Black exoskeleton (shiny raven black) Mane/Tail: (Black with a streak of oil spill green, blue, and magenta running through both mane and tail) Residence: A small apothecary and hut on the road between the Crystal Empire and the Changling Kingdom. Physique: Lithe and fit in both forms. Occupation: Just your regular every day love munching unreformed changling. (Owner and purveyor of remedies and medicinal cures for ailments and injuries. Also as fairly competent sorceress. Cutie Mark: A swirl of oil spill colored fire surrounding a heavy glass flask with a single flame inside when in unicorn form. History: Oblivion was just as happy as can be as a changling in the hive of Queen Chrysalis. She worked mostly as a scout patrolling the areas near the hive. It was a good life, though she was often starving like the rest of her kind. Oblivion was proud to serve her Queen and more than saddened when she fled after the change of Thorax. After the hive broke apart she could not bare to love as the reformed changlings did. She found it sickening and much preferred to take love when she could find it! There were others like herself of course but she found no need to stay with them once the Queen was gone. Oblivion wandered aimlessly for a time. She ranged the mountainous countryside near what had once been her home, scowling down on any visage of the new changling hive. After a few months of wandering she decided it was best to set up a residence where she could garner the love she needed to feed off of. It was meager in the mountain heights and not as strong as the love of ponies and other creatures with sentience. One could only take so much from the heart of a raccoon after all. Oblivion set up her hut on the roadside in the pass between the Crystal Empire and the Changling Kingdom. Though she could have gone further away she could not bring herself to do so. She acquired a book on arcane arts of magics and herbal remedies and took to learning the spells and potions within. What better way to lure in ponies and other travelers than to offer a service that they might need? She spends her days travelling to procure herbs and offering her healing services from her roadside hut. Oblivion has no mind to change or to reform in any way. Character Personality: Oblivion is cunning and sly. She uses trickery and decent to get what she wants. She is also stubborn to a fault and hates to be proven wrong. She is also quite learned in the magical arts and spends a great deal of time in her pony form "Nightshade". She makes sure to tell creatures what they want to hear as long as it ends up with a full belly of love by the end of it. She can also be flirtatious at times, especially to lure those she has a mind for into her hut. Trusting Oblivion would be like trusting a snake, full of decent and trickery. Character Summary: Cunning as any changling would tend to be when unreformed. Though there are plenty of love struck creatures out there Oblivion the need to seduce and capture those she wishes to take love from. She also uses tricks, sometimes traps, and her roadside shop to lure anyone she wishes to the demise of lack of love due to the changling love sucking trend. She is hardened to her ways and has no mind to reform like so many others of her kind have done.
  9. Well... it seemed like this was happening. It was really happening. The young mare sucked in a breath as the rumble of the train announced a reckoning she wasn't sure she was ready for. She wasn't sure she'd ever be ready. Well, eventually she would be. She had no intention of staying away from her hometown, from her parents forever. She had just needed some time away. Time to expand her mind beyond what Hope Hollow had to offer. Beyond the few friendships she'd made there. Beyond the drab grey that she'd heard had returned to it's formerly colorful state. Oh! Yes that would be exciting! She'd always wondered what the "Town At the End of the Rainbow" would look like in all its glory and soon she'd see it! She'd also see her parents, not that she thought they would care all that much. They had hardly seemed to care about anything during her entire growing up so why would things be different now. Well, there was color now...maybe it had changed them too? She hoped so. She loved her parents despite their lack of enthusiasm over much of anything. It was their lack that had ended up brewing so much in Luster herself. She loved knowledge and learning and the process of it all. She loved discovering and researching and coming to conclusions. When it came to family, there were some things she'd really love to know about. Mainly, her sister. She didn't even know her name. Her parents had accidentally let it slip only once, only right before she was leaving town that she'd ever even had a sister. Nopony else in the town had bothered to say anything either. She guessed that's what living in the grey did to ponies. Made them forget. Made them not care. But she cared! In fact she made up her mind right in that moment that her parents would tell her all about her sister while she was in town for the wedding. Yes, perfect plan! The train rumbled to a stop and ponies from Canterlot piled on. Luster let herself be swept up in the throng and was soon aboard her train home! It was exciting but also daunting. She took a breath and looked for somewhere to sit. Somewhere not overly crowded if possible? There were lots of ponies on the train today. Some of which she figured were probably heading to Hope Hollow too. It wasn't every day a mayor got married after all! Ah! There was a seat! Towards the back. There was an empty bench seat across the aisle from one amber colored unicorn. Perfect! Luster trotted back, tossed her saddle bag down and took a seat by the far window. As the train lurched into gear she felt her heart jump. There really was much to be anxious about. Maybe if she tried some polite conversation it would ease her mind? As the train rolled on towards Hope Hollow she glanced across the aisle. "Hi there!" She gave a half smile. "Headed to Hope Hollow? There's a big wedding in town tonight!" There that was friendly. She wondered how the unicorn across from her would respond.
  10. Howdy! Welcome to our little neck o' the woods! Feel free to let myself or any other staff know if you've got any questions about the site. Happy to have a new member! Oh and very cute OC BTW! Love her color scheme!
  11. Glitter followed with interest as they came upon the main dwelling. An igloo? A giant igloo? This was certainly one of the oddest dwellings she'd come across. It was functional though. She had to give it that. Koda trotted along at the mare's side as they entered the dwelling. She glanced around. Noting the ice chandelier in the center of the room. This was a permanent settlement to be sure! Quite impressive! She found herself wondering more about this stallion. Why he would chose to live this way. There were plenty of reasons to be sure. She had plenty of reasons for her lifestyle choices too. Seclusion could be a better way to live. She walked towards the book case, noticing the books on spells. She wondered how powerful this guy could be. Her magic wasn't much. She had enough to simple spells but nothing like these tomes held. The question of carrots or corn took her out of her thoughts. She turned to face him. "Oh! Uh, either would be fine with me. Carrots?" She wasn't sure she trusted him well enough to be staying for dinner but for now it was fine to offer her suggestion. On her way back over to him she noted the name tag. "B. Blitz?"
  12. Inwardly both mares let a sigh of relief escape. Glitter was positive about their olive branch, that was good! AJ and Rares both loved the filly very much and would have done anything for her. Applejack was happy to hear the positivity bubbling from the filly! She knew she'd forced things on her in the past. It was of course from the truthful goodness of her own heart but still. She new what had happened in the past and had yet to come to terms with it in herself or with Valen. It almost seemed best to let it lie indefinitely at this point. Some boxes were best left closed. But there was a niggle of doubt in the farm mare's heart. She'd have to bring things to light someday. But, not now. Now it was enough for Glitter to deal with the present. Applejack would let the past alone, for now. Rarity smiled genially at the filly's response. "Oh wonderful dear! Yes indeed I can continue to help guide you! I can't help you with baking of course, but I'll keep my eye out for any show I think might be a good direction for you. And of course we can discuss fashion all you want! I'm sure you'll be learning all kinds of fashion at your new school too dear!" After they had finished their lunch AJ nodded towards Glitter. "Oh! I almost forgot to tell you Rainbow Dash wanted to touch base with you. She's in town today an' she told me you could meet her at the coffee shop you two talked at last time. In about an hour from now. That is if yer interested? She said you'd understand if you'd rather meet another time."
  13. Applejack sniffed as her mare consoled her. It certainly wasn't like the farm mare to act this way. She was usually the resilient one. The rock solid dependable pony. She didn't feel right acting this way...it was just that well, that broach had meant so much to her. It represented something so deep in her heart that loosing it left her feeling weak. But Rarity was right! She had to pull herself together right this instant! She knew others would look at her and she had an image to maintain. Especially now that she had Rarity by her side. What she did and how she behaved reflected directly on the beautiful unicorn. "Yer right sugarcube," AJ sniffed, quickly drying her eyes and smoothing herself down. "Gotta pull myself together and get to the bottom of this!" Once she'd gotten herself together she trotted up to the spa ponies one more time. "So, yer tellin' us you saw absolutely nothin' goin' on out 'er while we were in the spa?" She eyed them sternly. The added pressure along with Rarity's righteous indignation caused the spa ponies to look back and forth at eye other. "w-well," The stallion that worked the counter offered. "T-there may have been someone in here for a few minutes unattended." He rubbed the back of his neck apologetically. "I-i went to help take the laundry form the drier and I-i heard somepony in here. I figured they'd wait for me to come back to check them in and then," He gulped. "Well, they were gone when I came back out here." "I can figure out the rest." Applejack eyed the stallion. There was no need to pressure him further. He'd spilled all he knew. The spa had been negligent but it was done now. "We'll be back." She said over her shoulder as she trotted out the door. "Time to go see Gridlock. It was room 117 right?" --- It wasn't long before they had met up with Gridlock and told the story as best they could remember. The sleuth nodded his head as he took notes on a small pad. "Sounds about right actually," He squinted one eye, looking up at the two mares. "The broach was the only thing missing? Did you have other valuables in the lockers?" The aerion leaned back in his chair a bit. They had walked to a small cafe on the deck of the airship while explaining the situation as per his request. Gridlock sipped his black coffee and grimaced.

  16. Glitter stamped through the ice and snow to the barn. Her mind was absent from where she was, lost in some far off time and place. The fun of play that lead to the ball rolling off down the forest path. The intrepid friends that trotted down that path together into the darkness of the woods. The sudden drop in her stomach as their ball rolled into an ominous cave. She had felt so unsettled even before Fizzy had cantered forward and become lost to sight within the gloom. And then the very worst had happened. Well, the worst short of death. A certain pony had died that day, inside it seemed. She hadn't known what was really going on with Fizzy. She and Spring had given her space. Time to heal. They both had thought that she knew they were there. They waited for Fizzy to come back. To take the offer of a shoulder to cry on, withers to lean on. But she never did. In fact she'd slipped away. Disappeared to who knew where and neither of them knew how to find her. Glitter's heart became cold over time. Then hardened when she realized she'd been left behind by her friend. Her heart had longed for Fizzy for so long she had to let her go. If she hadn't the depths of darkness she would have gone to would not have been reversible. As it was she disappeared too. Off to the Frozen North and as far away from her heart ache as she could get. She figured staying in a reclusive state was best. Why open her heart to further injury? Sh'e put what was left of the pieces onto the animals she found. Animals couldn't hurt the heart. They were good naturally and would not leave her or wound her. She found and cared for any she could find and found she had a skill for it. Some might even say she was a branch not far from the famed Fluttershy's ability with bird and beast. But still her heart was empty, cracked and broken deep down in the past. Wounds that would need healing should she ever wish to be whole again. She did wish it healed but she'd never want to confront what had happened. Then the Princess of Hearts swooped in and did it for her. Made her confront her worst nightmare and deepest love. Fizzlepop Berrytwist was more than a friend. She was the key to Glitter's iced over heart. But the key and the lock could not just come together. Too much ice, rust, time, injury, was yet in the way. It would have to cleared. A way through would have to be burned. She just didn't think she had the strength. "Ah!" She growled in frustration, pounding a hoof onto the timbers of the old barn. Snow fell from the roofing and pattered into the snow around her. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled with past and present in one anguished filled moment. She looked down and wept. And then... she blinked and sucked in a breath. Tracks in front of her, following the side of the barn. Huge. Clawed. Horrible. Tracks. Fresh and hardly filled. She reached out and touched the rough wood of the barn where a small hank of fur had clung in the beast's passing. "Oh no." She breathed the words and tossed her head from left to right in sudden panic, looking for the beast. It was not in sight. But was that? Her nostrils flared at the sight of blood droplets amongst the prints. BARK! Glitter nearly jumped out of her skin as Koda bounded from the mists and snow. Something was wrong. She could tell by his movements and frantic barking. "Where is she boy?" Koda turned, looking off in the direction Tempest had taken. RAWF! "Come on!" She galloped off, snow kicking up in all directions. Her wounded heart forgotten in fear.
  17. Happy Hearts and Hooves Day everypony! :)

  18. Rainbow waited on baited breath. She waited with her whole world in front of her. She waited with all her attempts and fighting and trying behind her. She waited with her dreams of grandeur being that of a family and a life of love where once trophies and applause had once stood. She waited with her fervent desire to be the best she could be turned to being the best she could be for those she loved. Rainbow watched her mare. She watched everything that was right in the world. She watched stability and a heart full of nurturing. She watched what she hadn't had ever on her own, grounded good logic and honesty that came from the earth and connection with it. She watched that orange and golden mare that had taken her heart and wrapped it in folds of healing where it had once been raw and wounded. The world seemed frozen in time, her thoughts entirely on what Applejack was thinking. What she would do. Then the word she'd been longing for was spoken. "Yes!" Rainbow fell into the embrace and kiss with all her heart and soul. She kissed back deeply and with all the love her heart could hold. This moment was meant to be. Aligned through all the rough times that had brought them together. She felt balanced and whole with Applejack in her life and now that would be sealed for all to see! Once the kiss ended Rainbow unfurled her wings and grinned hugely. "Awesome!"
  19. He offered a small smile. "I-it does seem to be my lucky day indeed!" Then Professor Shimmer walked up and fixed him with her gaze. The stallion felt himself begin to sweat and laughed nervously. "Uh heh heh," He continued to smile awkwardly and fumbled over his hooves a bit. "Oh the uh tea?" He seemed to have lost all track of his thoughts as she focused on him. "Yes yes! The uh tea! I-I've always got more tea," He reached up and pressed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. "It's uh in my office." Sunburst gulped. He'd day dreamed about something like this for at least two semesters now. It was happening without any time for him to rehearse. Act cool. Act natural. Just be yourself. Well, a cool version of yourself. "Would you like to join me in my office for a mug?" There that was pretty natural right? He blew his forelocks out of his face.
  20. Glitter eyed him as he spoke of magic. Making ice cream? Yeah, there was something about this guy she didn't get. It would be best to follow him an find out at least where he lived. She hadn't pegged him as a thread or anything of that nature but she did like to keep a grip on who was inhabiting the lands of the Frozen North. She picked up stride alongside the stallion. He was right it was getting late in the day. She had supplies enough for a night on the tundra if need be so it was no problem to follow along. "Koda!" She called to the elk hound as they made their way north. Best to keep the dog nearby as they were entering a territory she hadn't explored yet. "Stay close." She reached over to pat the dog as he bounded up in a flurry of snow. A wall of sorts loomed in front of them and Glitter cocked her head. "You've built yourself quite the dwelling I'm assuming?"
  21. Glitter stood there in the snow, her mouth slightly agape as Tempest let go of her rage. She could hardly contain all of the emotions that Tempest's rampage brought forth. She was being wrongly accused, and so felt intense anger towards the unfairness. Nopony loved Fizzy? That was so untrue! Glitter had loved her deeply and truly! Fizzy had never been tossed away! Her stomach dropped at the thought of the injured little filly thinking nopony cared. She felt guilt, intense guilt for not reading her friend correctly. Worthless? Discarded! No! She wanted to break into the tirade and speak her own mind but the words continued to punctuate from Tempest's muzzle. She felt so sad, so misunderstood, so deeply hurt. There was just so much. Too much. Then the words finally subsided. The silence hung there for a brief moment, like their breath misting the air in the frozen stillness. Everything that had been said covered Glitter like a heavy blanket. There was too much for her to even begin to know what to say or do. She sucked in a small breath as those next words were uttered. “You were more than a BFF glitter. When you were gone I understood it.” Those words dashed everything else away. They shattered through her grief and frustration. Her hurt and anger. Glitter's rage and need to retort were rent apart by those few quite words. The raw emotion of the moment brought tears to her eyes that she could not hide. She didn't want to hide them anymore. They didn't matter. Tears streamed down her cheeks as her heart dealt with the unrelenting torrent. She'd locked herself away from emotion for so long and the intensity at which they returned was painfully overwhelming. Then Tempest turned and ran. Snow kicking up as she left in haste. Glitter couldn't move. She stood and watched the unicorn go until she disappeared into the mists. "I-i," Her hoof left the snow and reached in the direction Tempest had fled. "I loved you Fizzy." She whispered the words, tears falling like ice to the drifts beneath her. It seemed an eternity before she could move. When she did her hooves moved in the direction of the barn. She would look for evidence and try to get a grip on herself.
  22. It was not a bad attempt at all. Rainbow knew he needed to work on banking but some things just came after time. She was pleased that he'd made it through all the hoops at any rate. He was going to be a great flier someday! She met him after the last hoop. "Great work there Zappers!" She nodded towards the next activity they would try. "I know you want to work on flying fast!" She began flapping over to a long straight away that was marked out by stationary clouds. There was one cloud pillar about 250 meters away from another in a straight line. "This is the clocking track we use for sprints!" She reached down and picked up a checkers black and white flag. "So I'll wave the flag and you fly from here down to the other pillar. Fly around it and pass by this pillar as fast as you can and I'll time you!" Not wanting him to have a hard time with the turn she coached him. "So, the trick for you is gonna be to slow down before you get to the far pillar. That way you can come around it without loosing control. I'll fly with you the first time ok Zappers?" She'd give him some tips on backing when they got to the far end of the track. "First round will be for practice, no time yet." Sh gripped the flag in her muzzle and spoke around it. "Three, two, one, go!"
