  1. I meant to comment on this last night after watching them; they were really quite funny! I'm a pretty big Fallout fan, and Nuka break really captures the odd, Wacky Wasteland feeling of the Fallout Universe. I'm interested to see where they'll take the series, but more importantly I'm curious to see how they'll handle some of the Wasteland's more mutated inhabitants, from the Super Mutants, to the Giant Radscorpions, and of course the Deathclaws.
  2. Oooh, yeah; Dead Rising is a very fun and interesting series. By no means is it perfect, and the zombies kinda lose that fear factor after a while, but it really is a ton of morbid fun to go around decimating them with varying degrees of silly items. Fighting the living Psychos was always something of a frustrating point of the series though. Sometimes they were just ridiculously unbalanced and unfair.
  3. That's super cute, and really well drawn too! =D
  4. I'm super excited; had a ton of fun with BC2, and what I've tried of the Beta (when it's not glitching) was alot of fun. I can't wait to have vehicles, and a squad of friends, and just general tactical mayhem at my fingertips. Between BF3 and Skyrim, I dunno how I'll hold down a job XD
  5. The relative silence that hung in the air was not to last; nor, as Quicklime had hoped, would the absence of another pony. A bit of an odd sight, a filly garbed from head to hoof in a suit of beat up grey armor came marching down the road at a relatively leisure pace; only her brown mane, green eyes and wings were not concealed under the armor, though the wings were heavily bandaged and tucked at her sides. The armored pegasus stopped her walk for a moment, her eyes looking down at a crumply autumn leaf on the ground. Seemingly interested in the leaf, she gave it a poke; it gave a loud CRUNCH in response and withered into dust, which a chilly breeze quickly swept away. Shivering slightly, the filly continued her walk, admiring the surrounding environment. Her name was Kite, and being a native of Canterlot, she was fascinated by Ponyville's more natural appearance. The leaves on the ground, not swept away by magic, the smells of the trees wafting on the wind. Wistful thoughts of home were cast aside as the prospective Knight continued on her walk (a self assigned patrol on her lookout for knightly deeds to commit), the clop of her hooves and occasional clanky groans of her armor filling the heavy silence. "No trouble to report here." She sighed to herself, "In fact, no nothing to report here. Ponyville is awful quiet today it seems." Kite wasn't complaining, though. As eager as she was to prove herself a worthy knight, she wasn't about to go making trouble; she'd had plenty of that leaving Canterlot. And the huge storm that greeted her upon arriving in Ponyville was an adventure in itself. She looked around again; nopony in sight. "Well, at least the scenery is worth the patrol." Kite remarked, crunching another leaf underhoof. "Crunchy leaves, a cool breeze, and the unmistakable scent of... coffee?" She paused, sniffing again. Turning around to try and catch a better whiff, the armored filly's sudden movements caused her helmet visor so slide down with a loud CLANG that echoed noisily through the silence.
  6. I imagine there are areas of the world where the ponies speak other languages. Fluttershy specifically refers to "French Haute-Couture" in regards to what she wants for her dress, which implies that there is Pony France out there somewhere.
  7. I willl now test my clairvoyance skills. This will not be the last post...
  8. Your huge images will not carry this day, Tales! XP
  9. Sorry friend, to my understanding an accent IS what you've described, but it is not exclusively applied to learning a new language; one can be speaking their mother tongue and still have an accent. Take Captain Falcon's Brooklyn accent as a perfect example. It may not be especially foreign, but things like a Brooklyn, Canadian, British or Southern accent DO exist, even if they all speak English.
  10. Ohh, a mod locking the topic would for sure lead to an instant win. XP
  11. I dunno, I'd argue that she has a Southern twang to her voice as well as the dialect. Apples 'n Oranges, I gather. XP
  12. You just gotta be real careful about where you're looking when an episode is up and coming. XD It would be nice if EqD had a spoiler free mode, though.
  13. Seriously? What about Applejack and Applebloom's Southern accents? XD Nopony else in Ponyville really seems to have it outside of those from Sweet Apple Acres.
  14. Sea Monkeys were pretty boss, actually. It was like a weird science experiment pet. XD
  15. I do wonder how long a game such as this can possibly go on for.
  16. It's opposite day, first post wins. Nothing to see here, foalks.
  17. I love animals; I even do some part time work at a local petshop. Not a huge chain or anything, it's a small local business that specializes in reptiles, amphibians, fresh and salt water fish, and everything needed to keep said animals going. XP I myself am the proud owner of a Leopard Gecko by the name of Lord Prometheus. He's a chubby, lazy little guy who looks like he has a stupid smile at certain angles, but otherwise acts as though bored with everything he sees. He's about... 4 years old now, actually. Unlike most types of Geckos, Leopard Geckos (or simply Leos) don't stick to things, instead having feet better suited for gripping and climbing rocks, and they're one of the few Gecko species to have eyelids. Lord Prometheus flaunts this trait by occasionally winking at passers. Next up is Twitch, she's my female Crested Gecko (Crestie). She loves yogurt, but is otherwise a finnicky eater who will never eat in front of people, and who spends her whole day either smooshed against the glass of the tank, or else hanging from the foliage suspended in her tank, giving evil looks to everything (Or sleeping, hard to tell as she has no eyelids). She's about 2 years old, and if you take her out of the tank, she loves jumping, and will aim for the face. Finally, there's Solid Snake, my Black and White Lined King Snake of questionable gender (I have to check one of these days). About 2 years old as well, Snake is a champion of hide and seek and frequent escape artist, though lately the escapes have stopped. Snake loves burrowing through the sand in it's tank, heabutting the ceiling, or curling up in the water dish. Every so often Snake leaves a ghostly white shell of itself after a shedding, and flaunts it's shiny new coat of skin XD Solid Snake has shattered all my misconceptions about snakes, being a very friendly, if not exciteable and skittish, little guy (or girl). Only bit me once, and it was during feeding time and he/she missed the food and got my finger instead. Hung on for a good 2 minutes before realizing I was a bit bigger than it's stomach. So yeah, those are my three champions. We've also got 2 cats, a dog, a hedgehog, and a buncha fish and crabs here, but they ain't mine so I'll say no more. XD
  18. Whoever posts after this listens to Nickleback. Also, anything they post regarding those who post before or after them may be regarded as slander.
  19. Kite browsed through the menu idly, her eyes scanning the many different dishes available; there was certainly an impressive selection. "I dunno if I'd have left Canterlot if it had a restaurant like this." She mused, her thoughts jumping back home for a moment. It was hard for her to believe she was really in Ponyville, all by herself... "I wonder what everypony back home is up to...?" She quickly shook the wistful thoughts from her mind; she had already left, it was too late to go back now. There would be no returning to Canterlot until she was a proper knight. The soaking suit of armor resting by the door was not the only weight the little fillie carried out of Canterlot; alas, she wouldn't dwell on such thoughts. "Hmmm... the Honey Glaze Orange sounds like a real treat." Kite frowned slightly; she always was so indecisive when it came to ordering food. "But so does the Peaches 'N Cream... Or maybe the Honey Chocolate Mother Load Cake...?" WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~ The wind outside gave a particularly loud howl, rattling the door and windows slightly. Kite's eyes shot up to the window; it looked to be nearly pitch black outside now, raindrops slapping against the windows like bullets. The prospective knight pegasus wondered if maybe she should be out there; what if there were ponies stranded in the storm? "Maybe just the Peaches 'N Cream this time." She finally decided, tearing her gaze from the widow. Her stomach gave a bit of a grumble; she was eager for Jebediah to place his order so that she too could get her meal.
