Avatar: The Last Pegasus (OPEN)

Plot:

Long ago, the world was a primal, natural place...one filled with life and protected by the Spirit World. Over time, ponies began to learn from the creatures around them to bend and control the elements around them, and eventually divided themselves into four nations, based on race and their elemental powers. In order to keep the balance in the world, the Avatar was born. Being a pony who could bend all four elements, the Avatar acted as an emissary between the ponies of the four nations and the Spirit World, keeping the peace in both planes of existence.

However, a hundred years ago, the world broke out into a state of war after an invasion by the Unicorn Nation, and the disappearance of the Avatar. Over the last hundred years, the Pegasi Nomads have been completely wiped out...mass genocide by the Unicorn Nation in the efforts to kill the Avatar, the Southern Sea Pony tribe is nearly destroyed by constant Unicorn Nation raids, and the Earth Pony Kingdom is on the brink of collapse by the relentless battles with the Unicorn Nation. Now...the Avatar has appeared again, but he cannot save the world and restore the balance by himself. All over the globe, there are other ponies who have grown tired of the endless war, and seek to put a stop to it. So, which country will you fight for, who you will fight with and against, and what will you do when you meet the Last Pegasus himself? It's your choice on who wins: The Unicorn Nation, or the Avatar and Allied Countries. So begins an epic story...one that will no doubt shake the foundations of the World itself.

The Pegasi Nomads (The Air Nomads): Having learned the ability to bend the air from Air Buffaloes, these ponies lived in floating cities within the clouds, living a life of peace and solitude as monks. Having been supposedly wiped out one hundred years ago by armies under Unicorn Lord Shardmane, the Pegasi are no longer exist, and their beautiful temple-cities are but ruined shells. The current Avatar is of the Pegasi Nomads. The Nomads are separated into the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Air Temples.

The Earth Pony Kingdom (The Earth Kingdom): A large country consisting of Earth Ponies who had learned to bend the stone and dirt beneath their hooves by gigantic Badger Moles. The Earth Pony Kingdom has been under constant siege by the Unicorn Nation, and are even being pressed at their capital, Bark Sing Neigh. They are characterized by their coats being of earthly colors, and their cutie marks usually are of rocks, precious metals, etc.

The Sea Pony Tribes (The Water Tribes): Located in the North and South poles, these special breed of Earth Ponies have learned to bend the waves and rain by observing the push-and-pull of the Moon on the water. While the Southern Sea Pony Tribe is generally smaller due to the Unicorn Nation raids, her northern sister-tribe is far from small. For one hundred years, the Unicorn Nation's navy has been unable to penetrate the Northern Sea Pony Tribe, similar to the gigantic walls of the Earth Pony Kingdom's Bark Sing Neigh. Also, the Northern Sea Pony Tribe protect the moon spirits Rise and Fall. Their coats are of numerous dyes of blue or purple, and their cutie marks usually contain the Moon or something oceanic-related, as well as icy objects.

The Unicorn Nation (The Fire Nation): Existing on the island chain to the west of the world, the Unicorn Nation learned to bend fire by the Dragons and create it from their minds and bodies. Being the most technologically advanced of the four countries, the Unicorn Nation has proven to be a menace, despite its smaller armies compared to the Earth Pony Kingdom's massive forces. They invaded the four countries one hundred years ago, and are close to winning their war. The last Avatar, Sun Blaze, made his home here, and died before the start of the war, reincarnating into the Pegasi Nomads. Their coats are normally dark or fire-colored, and their cutie marks revolve around things associated with heat.

Organizations:

The White Lotus: An ancient society that has existed for hundreds of years, they make it their duty to serve the Avatar in any way they can, and strive to make peace in this war-torn world. Despite its secretive nature, the White Lotus' intentions are quite noble and ponies of all countries are a part of it. No leader has been chosen among the White Lotus, but they are led by a selected council of elder ponies who have experience and wisdom to share. No hatred is allowed within the White Lotus' confines, and enlightenment is sought out by its members.

The Dark Leaf (The Dai Li): The secret police force of Bark Sing Neigh, they are expert earthbenders and act as the peacekeepers in the shadows, preserving the noble city's way of life. Considered more myth than reality, this group was formed by Avatar Kayak after a peasant rebellion in Bark Sing Neigh four hundred years ago. They currently keep the knowledge of the one hundred year war away from the Earth Pony King, and keep a firm grip on the city, using the young king as a figurehead.

Earth Pony Kingdom=Earthbenders

Sea Pony Tribes=Waterbenders

Unicorn Nation=Firebenders

Sea Ponies=Same as Earth Ponies, except they like to swim

Sweet I've been wanting to make an A:TLA RP on here for quite a while now, but my "Coltaran Chronicles" RP has kept me so busy, not to mention trying to finish writing it.

Well, that depends. I'm willing on taking the cast-role of another character Also, I wasn't sure whether this RP was going to be focused on the trials of the Avatar gang or just a free-world sort of deal.

Well I didnt mean I would literally be Toph but like her closely, it ok. But should the avatar be an Alicorn, or like Aang be an Airbender (Pegasus)

That's exactly who the Avatar is, a Pegasus. While the idea to have an Alicorn for the Avatar is entertaining...it would make far more sense for him to be a Pegasus, hence the title

Since each country has its own rulers...perhaps we can make them Alicorns, although I'm not certain that would work.
