Of course, if you do think it would require that...it can be arranged. Maybe not necessarily a two-post limit a day...considering that, without a doubt, some groups will be split in different areas/instances, but perhaps up to 2 posts every round of responses by the OCs of that particular section? NovaArkwing Posted October 20, 2012 Report Share Posted October 20, 2012 Well to explain the Decoy Director at Equina, the real Director needed something to draw out the other faction leaders so he formed a small plan to sent a double to pose as himself just in case if something were to go wrong the real Director would've remained unharmed...The double may've overreacted and made the Director sound high and mighty etc., but it worked and the decoy was even more convincing with Nova and Tex guarding the decoy (the only reason I didn't say was that I didn't want to give it away at all and saying he was a decoy in the rp would've given him away.)Important leaders IRL do it for public events and risky gambits in history (That inspired the Decoy move), a good tactical deception and the Director isn't stupid enough to casually stroll right into the enemy capital with what's going on and all.Also it would explain the acting, Nova and Tex weren't told it was a fake Director they were escorting so they thought it was the real Director they were protecting which made the decoy all the more convincingThe real Director has heard of Goliath briefly and guesses it's a form of superweapon he doesn't know about the god thing (forgot what it's name is) that's all he knows, the actor/decoy made up the threats to sound like the Director to the other factions.Meanwhile the Director is more concerned and focussing on the next stage of Freelancer's operations no doubt things will get interesting. If you are willing to completely go through with these changes, and any others that may be required in the near future...then you and the Freelancers can take part once more. However, if I may be so bold as to throw a few pointers in...?1. From what you told me, the Freelancers was a rather small, but advanced organization during the Principality, and also under the Princesses' command (I think). If this is the case, I think that perhaps the Freelancers should be considerably smaller than they are now...after all, five years is too short of a time for a shadow organization such as them to accumulate such resources and man-power (erm...horse-power...). I think that the best way for them to be balanced is not to be a literal army...but a group of highly-trained professionals of say, maybe a couple hundred at most? This way, you can still have a sizable and capable force, but not be a total blitzkrieg nightmare 2. This somewhat goes with #1. Due to the relative youth of the Freelancers themselves, I don't think it would be very logical for them to have all those connections and resources from outside Equestria as you have suggested in the past. Now, maybe a few supporters from foreign lands or nations may be reasonable...but to have become a world-network in that sort of time-period is simply unimaginable.3. Although TotalEcplise has already addressed this, the Freelancer's surveillance needs to be toned down a bit. There have been instances in the RP where you have secretly-hidden cameras randomly spawn in places where they really shouldn't be (For example: when Twilight was having a meeting with the other Chancellors and finally revealed herself as the Red Fox, you had a camera watching her in the chamber they were in. How exactly could the Director, or any Freelancer Agent, get into a room which only Twilight can magically access? I believe I had pointed that out, too, but I said nothing about it...so that was my fault, I believe). A spy network is perfectly reasonable...to a certain extent. Due to the tight-nit existence that many GEF officials and soldiers live by, very few would actually dare act as spies against the Federation, whether out of fear for their own lives or that of their families. So, the Freelancers would have to provide something hefty and valuable no doubt to get that sort of support, and even then it would be logical to assume that few would take the bait even then.I believe that covers pretty much all of my concerns at the moment.On another note, the new R: AHitD RP Thread is now open. Fair enough, Hell I doubt even Cerberus didn't have the numbers I seemed to of projected (I think?) it took alot of resources for them to attack the Citadel in ME3 even if it failed, Freelancer are similar on a obviously lesser scale but still nothing to laugh about.2. Done although the average range of Freelancer agents are mostly young there are others much older who are in other fields of expertise working for Freelancer (like Logistical/Medical/Science etc.) and some resources will get mentioned but most of it is either Freelancer-made (Powered suits of Armour) or engineered from stolen GEF data and materials (A.Is) or important to the story.3. As for surveillance, I was posting other things that somehow involve you or the other GEF rp-ers that was more reasonable but sadly every time I finished and about to post it my laptop has a rather annoying tendency to BSOD on me and delete the post before I could save it (usually the BSOD'ed post is better and less derpy than the real post and by the time I get back on I forget what I had in the post) Freelancer will have Spy networks and will be referenced but not heavily relied on.
