Cutie Mark: An old map that has a green X on it. It looks very old and used often.

Physique: Average in the body he is tall, He does have some eye sight problems so her wears a pair of glasses all the time, and major bags under his eyes that don't look like they want to go away.

Residence: Ponyville now but used to live in canterlot for his magical studies and with his parents. Well the reason why he left is, because there comes a time in a pony life where he and/or she must to leave the nest, and make their own life in the world.

Occupation: For the longest time he was a hermit/student, but now has left his cave like room. And is an explorer now.

Motivation: Luster used to be a hermit until he read an old book that spoke of many fanatic places, and he ate the book up cover to cover and went on a slight journey. Luster got as far as seasaddle bay after about a week of travel, which got his parents in to a fit of fear thinking he had ran away, they asked the princess to help them find their son, so he was soon found by the guards, quickly being 'dragged' back home when he was brought home and yes he was in trouble but he got his mark after being changed by that book.

Likes: books, traveling, magic, and the night sky

Dislikes: being woken up early, poison joke, alchemy and frogs don't ask

Character Summary: Luster see himself like a new Marco Palomino* all ways exploring, learning new things. When Luster was growing up he would rarely leave his room unless it was for food or school, safe to say he didn't have many real friends. Then he got his cutie mark and after he finished his schooling he was off to explore the world, making many new friends, from Ponies to Hippogriffs. His parents don't approve of his new life style their very hard line royal types, which wanted their son to follow in their hoof steps, but he didn't. HUZZAH!!!

Well when he was in school the spell he got good at using are teleportation spells he can only transport a max of one other pony sized being, and the problem with it is he can only his spells in case of an emergency and only transport himself and one other pony sized being as far as 2 rods away a rod is 5.5 yards good news is being that gets transported with Lack Luster will be fine, no burns, or nothing Lack Luster on the other hoof, burns, soot, parts of his mane can and will be on fire. One of his many failures in his life was he was turned in to stone for a week because of a cockatrice. He does get lost about 70-85% of the time, so if you're with him bring a map you'll need it. One of his few triumphs was getting a ride from a dragon to a pond that he had spent 2 whole days walking around it not knowing where it was. The experiences he had gained were travel in pairs, if it gets quite leave, and that if it looks shiny don't touch it. He fallows his rules to a Tea, but he forgets to tell the people that he's travels with these things.

His fav school subjects are math, history, art, and P.E. His flaws are that when he is doing his research for his next little 'quest' he will forget to do normal things like bath, or sleep, so his room with get very smelly, as will himself, and he loses all his powers of perception and will ask why you have brought a gasmask. How to tell if Luster has been on a research bender look for three things: 1:He'll have a bushy tail. 2: He'll have bright eyes and 3: He'll have a very bad stench around him as if you can see it. He does not get embarrass by his smell because He doesn't even know he has it. He all ways finds that after he has talked with one of his bronies he'll pass out due to lack of sleep, but he wakes up smelling clean and fresh.The reason why this happens is then when he passes out a dragon could be raging in the background with Parasprite eating up everything, and he will not wake up so they take the time to force a bath on him still passed out, he has no idea that this happens to him.

Now to answer a big question how does Lack Luster make money? He makes money numerous of ways One he sells books on what he has seen and done. Selling some of the things he has gotten on the travels. These things don't bring a lot of money, so he is forced to live off the land. For some odd reason He is bared from selling his wares in canterlot. He thinks that it's his parents that have done this. For he is living his life his way and not they way they wanted. Something weird when ever Lack Luster picks up some things that is new to him he'll lift it over his head with his unicorn power and go "Da da dada" this happens rarely.

Since I suppose Celestia's Royal Guards could be considered the equivalent of a police system, this might be alright...but I don't have the final say.

Could you add a bit more about his Cutie Mark story, please?

And maybe expand on the Character Summary a bit. I just seem to keep seeing 'exploring, exploring, exploring.' What about character flaws? Failures and triumphs and experiences! What was his favorite school subject, perhaps? How does he use his Unicorn powers? I don't really see anything about this. I think that Unicorns tend to have a talent associated with themselves, like Rarity. Her Unicorn talent is gem-finding, but her personal talent is clothes making. However, her talent also aids with her skill.

You can take this line out, a cutie mark is important to the pony itself, not necessarily what others interpret by it.

This is a skill that is very hard for Twilight to use herself, so I would make this skill more flawed. Perhaps he can only use it when in trouble, and he cannot 'command' it to happen. It only works a relatively short distance, and it is very tiring for him to use, *especially* if he is teleporting another pony with him; and that pony needs to be close to him.

One of his many failures in his life was he was turned in to stone for a week. One of his few triumphs was getting a ride from a dragon to the dragon horde of gems, and gold.

Both of these experiences, if you are going to be included, need to be drawn out in more detail. Convincing a dragon to share its hoard is likely never going to happen, so just saying that it has without offering any reasoning or story behind it is considered marysue. Its okay for your character to be accomplished, but we need to see how they became accomplished, and it needs to show growth in the character- its not approvable to just say that they are really great at something, or have done something amazing; you need to show us how they are a normal pony that managed to accomplish something amazing.

Other than these few things, your OC is getting closer to approval. Overall his 'personality' still seems a bit vague to me, you might include more about his dreams in life, how they make him feel, why he loves to explore and travel, what he loves most about it.

You might talk more about his flaws too; such as how he turned himself into stone, or perhaps he isnt very good at magic, or maybe he occasionally does get lost, or play up the fact that he forgets his personal hygene like you mentioned. Maybe describe how he looks after a few days of not taking are of himself, or what he thinks about taking care of himself, maybe it embarasses him, maybe he doesnt care. You have the bare bones of a character here, it just needs some more juicy detail before he can be approved.
