Occupation: Weather Quality Assurance -- essentially, Storm Medley bops about to each city and town in Equestria every so often to ensure that their weather teams meet all necessary standards.

Cutie Mark: Stormy's cutie mark is a raining, white cloud. The most obvious reason for this is her talent with weather. A lesser-known reason for this is her love of rainstorms.

History: Born and raised in Cloudsdale, Storm Medley is an only child. She was well-behaved, barring the typical mischief of children, and she was generally quite content where she was. She did well in her classes and she had a few friends and for a while she fancied the idea of growing up to become a Wonderbolt, as did many pegasi her age. That changed when she went to flight camp. Sure, she could fly well enough, but she didn't take as much joy in simply flying as many other pegasi did. Flying and tricks were neat to watch, but certainly not as much fun to DO.

With this in mind, Stormy left flight camp and flung herself into her studies in an attempt to find herself. Her parents helped as much as they could, with tours through the weather factory, lessons on making snowflakes and distilling rainbows, and trips to other towns. It dawned on Stormy during a trip to Ponyville, though, what she wanted to do. Sitting there, watching the weather team whip up a doozy of a storm, she realized that that was what she enjoyed most: working with the weather.

A few weeks after the trip to Ponyville, Stormy convinced her parents to take her out to an empty field. Off they went, a herd of clouds in tow. The filly put her heart and soul into building a storm up from a few stray clouds, and while it wasn't a huge storm, it was big enough. She darted between lightning bolts and dashed through dark clouds and when she finally decided she was happy with it, she landed next to her parents. It wasn't until after the storm wore itself down that her father pointed out the cutie mark the filly had earned.

She finished her schooling and left home, travelling to Manehattan to head up their weather team and continuing to fine tune her skills. Eventually it became obvious she was needed elsewhere, and she was transferred to Trottingham to lead their weather team. Soon she was no longer a weather team leader, but a weather team trainer, travelling where necessary to help the weather teams shape up and meet standards. When her task was complete and all the weather teams were full up and doing good work, Stormy found herself a little lost and without purpose.

She did a couple odd jobs, tried to settle down in Cloudsdale again, and started chomping at the bit to get and about. It was then that she was invited to do Weather Quality Assurance for Equestria. Maintaining an apartment in her hometown, she travels from city to town to village around Equestria, hitting each town at least once a season, to monitor their storms, sunny days, and general weather to be sure they meet all safety and quality standards. Occasionally she's still tapped to help train weather teams that have become lax in their work.

Character Summary: Storm Medley has a sort of... dual personality. It's no sort of psychological disorder or anything, it's simply a separation of business and leisure. On the clock, Storm is a no-nonsense type of mare. She maintains a very serious attitude about her work, and she's yet to be spotted joking around with anypony else when she's monitoring storms or working with weather teams. As soon as she's done with work for the day, though, a large grin is plastered to Stormy's face that doesn't fade until she's passed out for the night. Late nights and early morning's are her fare, and her late nights are spent out with friends and new acquaintances in whatever given town she's landed in for a few days.

Due to her roaming nature and her travelling work, she develops friendships easily, but has a difficult time keeping in contact with everyone. As such, she possesses a journal in order to keep her thoughts straight, having no close friend to confide in regularly. It doesn't take much to get Stormy to talk to another pony, though. Chatting over coffee or donuts is common, and she can never turn down any meal involving peaches or apples. Bear in mind, she's likely to call on any friend anytime she drops into town. Her visits are unexpected, but she's not terribly hurt if there's not time for plans. All in all, she's a bundle of unending cheer and limitless optimism. She works hard and she plays hard and she relaxes hard, if that's even a thing.

Sorry it has taken so long to get to this app.

This looks like a fantastic cast character app! It is well written, and well thought out! Quality assurance seems like an interesting choice of occupation and one that I've not yet seen personally, but it isn't something I'd deny exists, as it seems all weather is dictated and maintained from Cloudsdale, so there must be some people making sure everything is working well!

There is only one thing that is preventing me from sending it up, which is naming parents. That is discouraged in all cast character apps. So if you could remove those names, it would be great and I can send this along
