Name: Glimmer

Species: Griffon

Eye colour: A vibrant purple

Coat colour: White wings on the bird half, and lion cat half but with red hair on the tail.

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: Wears a bright purple bow

Physique: Slender

Cutie Mark: .None

Origin/Residence: Rockwington, though sometimes stays with her brother Razor and travels with him when her parents are away.

Occupation: Student, student seamstress

Motivation: To be a world known fashion designer and to be a fantastic flier like her brothers.

Likes: Sweets, flowers, cute things, her brothers, getting her way, flying, playing, gifts (lots of them)

Dislikes: Grouches, yucky stuff, losing her favorite bow

Character Summary: Glimmer is the youngest of four siblings, with three elder brothers. Her parents named her after her great grandmother, who had eyes just like hers. Her family is a well off griffon family, with her father a retired soldier and her mother a seamstress, her bow was one of the first things they created together and it is very important to her. Her elder siblings are all grown up and out of the house and off on their own careers, which means she gets all of the parental attention but is also very lonely.

Whe she is alone, she will practice her designing and sewing skills or seek out some playmates. If she is with her brothers, she has no qualms in using 'The Look' to get a toy or sweet that she really really wants. When she is with her mother she will always be at the ready to help in any sort of dress making or design choice, she is still young but she has an eye for detail on what makes a good dress.

Recently her father has gotten back into the military career, acting as a training sergeant for new recruits, so he tends to be away from home for weeks or months at times. Her mother also can be dragged into very busy schedules with her fashion designs and even be called away to host her fabrics at fashion shows in other towns away from home. So Glimmer can be very lonely at times at home, but she knows her parents love her and they do so very much, but even she wishes she had someone to stay with her at home.

Understanding that their careers leave their daughter alone, Glimmer's parents send her to her brothers to watch over her when they are away, and while she does enjoy this she loves it the most when she can stay with her brother Razor. Razor travels everywhere so she gets to see alot of the world and make all sorts of friends, and Razor always gets her lots of pretty and cute toys and stuff which really makes her smile.

Her bond with Razor is very special, if at times confusing to those that watch their interactions. Glimmer cares alot about her older brother and was always there to cheer him up when he was sad or picked on by their older siblings for his smaller size. Even today she will lecture or lay into anyone that makes Razor upset, which can be odd for any grown ups she does this to. Of course Razor is also very willing to indulge Glimmer in anything she wants, something she is willing to use. It might seem like Glimmer is using Razor, but she truly loves him and would never think of doing anything to hurt him or make him feel like a tool.....but that dress was so pretty and he offered to buy it for her so...

Of course underneath her cute and innocent exterior, Glimmer has a slightly unstable interior. This being that when she gets mad, which can happen easily at times, she tends to loss all rational thought and acts on her emotions without thinking on what will happen after. This has lead to her pummeling a number of boy griffons when they stole her favorite bow. The boys were okay, but did not go anywhere near Glimmer for several months.

All in all, Glimmer can be a real sweetheart. Just don't. touch. the. bow.

Other bits:

She is a decent flier, as all griffon children are her age, but she tends to get distracted easily if she sees something cute, adorable or pretty.

As stated she hates all gross things: Slimey bugs, big bugs, spiders. The only ones she does like are butterflies and lady bugs cause they look so pretty.

Like most griffons she doesn't like, in fact like any normal griffon, HATES getting wet. All that water mess up their feathers and it can take hours that could be spent playing to fix them.

Hi ShadowWalking!

Wow! This is certainly an unique type of griffin! I like it!

The app looks complete to me, all of the required fields are filled and although this app is brief in places, I do believe there's enough here to it to pass muster

Alrighty Sandcat! I like the design of this character so far; I think she's cute and you have a good idea going with her. What can you do to really make her shine? I'm hesitant to suggest anything because you seem to come up with really good ideas by yourself, so I'll leave you with a few leaders you might use to give this application a bit more creative bulk:

What does Glimmer do when she's alone?

Why did her parents name her Glimmer?

How did she get her bow, and why is it important to her?

More expansion on her involvement with being a seamstress, or maybe one developing her skill?

Her bond with Razor and her reasons for traveling with him -- though remember to keep focus on Glimmer!

Anything else cute or interesting about her? Does she fear snails or hate getting wet?

You don't have to use any of those suggestions, but you get the main idea -- we need a few more details about this character before she's ready to go for WoE! Remember she's your character, make her as awesome as you can!
