Frost137
So really, are cutie marks on both sides of each flank or on one?Hasbro's toys have one cutie mark only, but then you have the show which have cutie mark on both sides. What is it really???? frostfauna
Pretty sure it's on both sides. If I recall correctly, there's a few scenes where rainbow dash is flying and it's shown. And maybe a couple of applejack in thr running of the leaves.
weesh
On the show it is both. That is official enough for me.
Rosewind
One sided on toys (probably to cost control and keep the toys cheaper). Two sided in FiM canon...and sometimes on the inside of the flank if you're asking Whitehawke.
Cadabra
I think part of the reason we see the cutie mark on both sides in the cartoon is because it is easier to animate. All they have to do is flip the image.
P51Mustang
In the show, it's on both sides.
Rockdove
In gen 3 wasn't it only on one side though? I like one side better. It feels more like a bumper sticker when it's on both sides, at least to me
FlammingHeart
As an oldschooler mlp fan I like both side best it feals like cheat they only put cutie mark on one side.
Rosewind
I will admit it's sometimes hard to tell what side the cutie mark is on.
Parker_Izing
Figures got only one, collectors like to have all variations, with one side Cutie Mark, you double your product without messing with molds... The cutie marks are tampographied, ad the process is quite manual even today, putting two cutiemarks isn't any harder/expensive than putting two eyes... (besides, cutie marks are based in cattlestock branding, and those tend to go in just one flank)
