Character Summary: Bow-Tie was born in Ponyville and raised by her parents, Necktie, an earth pony, and Winged-Bow, a pegasus pony. Her parents dressed her up in nice gowns they could afford, but Bow-Tie was an incredibly rowdy filly, and always got them dirty jumping around all the time. She was always the best jumper, but only because she really wanted to be a pegasus like her mother. Whenever Winged-Bow was working and Necktie had to help, Bow-Tie would go out on her own and play, jumping up the trees and leaping from branch to branch, pretending she had wings. (She actually ventured to Sweet Apple Acres often while Wing-ed Bow was there, because many weddings called for their delicious apple champagne.) Falling from a tree branch was how she met little Applejack. They'd always play pretend and goof around while Aj worked. She even convinced her that being an earth pony was better than being any ol' pegasus (no offense to pegasai). Bow-Tie was the girliest of the two (sophisticated, expressive, well-mannered and stylish), but it still didn't stop her from having fun. Aj, along with her parents, taught Bow-Tie that honesty's the best policy. Their friendship was short-lived after Bow-Tie's family was forced to move to Hoofington for better catering business. After she moved, she began to doubt that advice. She wasn't happy there, growing up. She lost a few friends telling them blunt truth, but she couldn't help it since being honest was who she was. Eventually those "friends" no longer mattered and Bow-Tie remained an assistant for Winged-Bow. She earned her cutie mark after helping decorating a wedding. That inspired her to make her own wedding when the time came.
