Coat: Her coat's colour is a deep, dark, translucent red. It is trimmed, smooth, sleek, and shiny. She occasionally wears a variety of exercise outfits.

Mane/Tail: Cinnabar Star's mane and tail are two tones of translucent purple. She typically wears her mane in a ponytail. Her tail is short and wavy.

Physique: She has a lean, athletic build. While she possesses a lot of stamina and is quick, agile, and to a lesser extent strong, she is not particularly durable. This means she's prone to sprains and doesn't get back up quickly from crashing into something, tripping, or other such situations.

Residence: Crystal Empire

Occupation: Rookie athlete/part-time mail mare

Cutie Mark: A shooting star. Cinnabar Star didn't have to struggle to get her cutie mark. She was a filly always on the move, running, jumping, playing, and full of energy. There weren't many ponies her age that could keep up with her. So, it was only natural that she decided to enter into the first race available to her. Naturally, she outran most of her competition (which consisted of other crystal fillies and colts). All but one. It was neck and neck through most of the race, but when Cinnabar Star crossed the finished line... She came in 2^nd place. This was a little disappointing to her, but that all changed when she discovered that she had gotten her cutie mark along with the pony who won first place! She could hardly stay down about getting 2^nd place when such an important event in her life had occurred. She accepted her defeat to the other pony gracefully, and it helped put her in the mindset of being a good sport for the rest of her life.

The shooting star was not just a symbol of her quickness and her “all-star” skill in many athletic activities. Her loss in the race only cemented in her a drive to pursue athletic excellence, to reach for the stars.

History: Cinnabar Star was born in the Crystal Empire to her artist mother, Carnelian Verglas, and her novelist father, Obsidian Sheen. She was their first foal, but they would have another, giving her a younger sister named Tourmaline Glass. As a filly, Cinnabar lived a simple, peaceful, and happy existence in the Crystal Empire. She always had an easy time making friends. Perhaps too easy. She had so many friends that she was, more often than not, distracted from schoolwork by all of the opportunities to socialize. Not that she didn't try to catch up; it just never seemed to work out in her favour. Besides that, nopony ever became an all-star athlete sitting down.

Since getting her cutie mark, she has entered into pretty much every athletic competition the Crystal Empire had to offer for a filly like her. She won some, and she almost won several others. Sometimes, she lost quite horribly. It struck her later when she matured from fillyhood into a mare that there wasn't a lot of bits in what she was doing, at least not until she became a better-known athlete. As much as she loved her parents and little sister, she didn't want to stay in her parents' house forever! So, Cinnabar started looking for a part-time job.

First, she tried a job looking after the colourful ewes of the Crystal Empire. She figured it would be a great job since the ewes were so adorable to look at. Unfortunately, she fell asleep the first day on the job and was encouraged to seek work elsewhere. She tried getting a job picking crystal berries, but after coming back to her supervisor with one too many empty baskets, she was, again, encouraged to look elsewhere. One day, a mail mare overheard her talking to one of her friends about trying to find a job, and the mail mare encouraged her to try signing up with the mail service. The mail mare told her that her speed would be a great asset. So, Cinnabar got a part-time job as a mail mare.

She had only just finished up her first day of work (she hadn't failed... much) when things changed for the worst for all of the Crystal Empire. Now, 1000 years after that, things have changed for the better. Cinnabar doesn't remember much of what happened during those dark times, and she doesn't like thinking about it. The impact it's had on her is not too noticeable. She's still a perky and overly friendly pony with a drive towards athletic excellence. But it's entirely possible she has started indulging in sweets a little more than she used to and that she does spend more time slowing down and enjoying the world around her.

Lately, her goals have revolved around getting her little sister out of her shell, earning enough bits to move out of her parents' house, finding her special somepony, becoming a better-known athlete, and learning all about this new rollerblading thing (new to the Crystal Empire, anyway).

Character Summary: Cinnabar Star's talent is most effectively used in races, be it marathon running, dashes, races with hurdle jumps, or swimming. She also tends to do well on obstacle courses. Her positive attitude towards competition has made her friends among her fellow athletes and spectators because she has never used her skills as an occasion to put others down (for not being as good) or sulk and hold grudges over her losses. She has a perky, upbeat personality and tends towards being very social. She's also, perhaps, a little over-affectionate. She engages in group hugging, compliment showers, and hoof-bumps on a daily basis. She also has the unusual habit of giving everypony she likes a nickname. Even her family is not immune to this with her father being Daddio, her mother being Mumsy, and her sister being T-Glassy and/or Sissy-Missy. It is a rare occasion when she calls somepony she likes by their real name.

Cinnabar Star has a tendency to miss important details, being more of a big picture kind of a pony than a detail-oriented pony. She also always seems to be in a rush, and this more often than not, leads to a sloppy outcome or her being impatient in some situations. It has also caused her to be accident-prone. Her biggest issues in being a mail mare is that she's more concerned with getting the mail delivered quickly than with getting each piece of mail to the right location. It is only her speed and the fact that she can deliver relatively heavy packages quickly that makes the mail service reluctant in letting her go.

Cinnabar's interests aren't limited to athletic activities; although, they are a major focus. She also enjoys reading the occasional romance novel (being a major romantic at heart, to the point that she probably comes on too strong to eligible stallions) and dressing up. She adores all things cute and cuddly (including fillies and colts; she has resolved sometime after she has met her special somepony and married him to have at least ten or fifteen, maybe twenty foals). She enjoys singing (her singing skills ranging from migraine-inducing awful to just plain bad) and dancing (she does well with basic dances but anything more complicated than that is bad news). Sometimes, she likes to take some time to herself at night to gaze at the stars. In those moments, she is reflective and oddly philosophical. She is utterly fascinated by the world outside of the Crystal Empire, as evidenced by her becoming obsessed with learning to rollerblade and trying to get rollerblading to catch on in the Empire.

Cinnabar doesn't have any specific fears, but she's not exactly fearless, either, preferring to avoid dangerous situations if at all possible. She isn't particularly fond of ponies who boast or are full of themselves, mean ponies, waiting in line, sour foods/drinks, being out of the loop, or dealing with complex problems. It also would not be a good idea to mess with her little sister. Ever.[/colour]

This app looks very, very strong! All of the require fields are filled, except for one (and it's a minor detail). I believe this is an app for the WOE (Mane) RP, but you need to put that line in the app itself. Don't mean to be picky, but wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't point that out to you.

This app is very well written! Great History and Character Summary sections. The Cutie Mark story is short, but does give the description of how she got it.

Aside from the missing "Roleplay Type:" area, this app looks ready for further processing to me!
