NFL Predictions are Magic!

Oh yeah, the SteelEagle Standings.

Basically, the Seahawks won the superbowl, so everyone tied for first place in the SteelEagle playoffs. The tied breaker goes to SteelEagle since he's the only one who likes the Seahawks.

Well we all know it is the off-season, but there still can be some football discussion occasionally! :20:

First off, the off season schedule for the NFL in general:

  • February 19-25 -- NFL Combine
  • March 11 -- Free Agency Begins
  • April 7 -- Workouts for those with new coaches
  • April 21 -- Workouts for those with returning coaches
  • May 8-10 -- The NFL Draft

As the combine has begun, here are a couple headlines associated with it:

  • The Dolphins fired head trainer Kevin O'Neill and offensive coach Jim Turner during the combine (the GM was previously canned, but the head coach stays). :-|
  • The Tampa Bay Bucs are strongly hinting they will draft a quarterback in the first round.
  • There are current negotiations to raise the salary cap from the current $123 million to $130 million for the 2014 season.

Tampa Bay has a new "enhanced" logo:

Stay tuned!

Blargh! They should have fired everyone in the team! All the coaches..The players..the fans...the cheerleaders...the rabbits that live in the bushes near the parking lot. EVERYONE gets the pink slip. I'm still very angry with them. Beat the Pats...Score ONE TD combined against the Stinky Bills and Sad Jets. Oh woe!

Really? Enhanced? Maybe all the teams should 'enhance' their logos every year in hopes that the fans will rebuy everything.

Actually, the cap HAS been raised to $130 million. With rollover, the Seahawks have $132 million, which between the rollover and the higher than expected cap increase alleviates our cap issues to a degree. A small degree.

I am curious to know how you feel that they looking now as if they will release WR Sidney Rice.

Well, looks like there's very little interest in this Arena Football prediction project, so I'm shutting it down.

The AFL isn't exactly a glamor sport.

Guess I can wait till the REAL football season starts up again in the fall.

  • 4 weeks later...

Seahawks have signed Earl Thomas, best Safety in the game, and Sherman, best Cornerback in the game, to extensions. Kept Bennet. Most things are wonderful. They were expecting an even battle, man versus man, but what they saw instead was man versus and Lovecraftian deity.

I have faith in my Pittsburgh Steelers. Faith they will miss BIG TIME with their draft choices and faith they will miss the playoffs AGAIN this season.
