Just wondering because leather is... you know...And I acknowledge it could be cloth of some sort, but with what i've seen done with that hat, is has good durability and stiffness. The species of the friend varies by theory, so does whose friend it was (sometimes AJ's, sometimes her parents') but the idea is pretty constant that she knows who it's made of, and she wears it to honor them. Silentium Posted September 18, 2013 Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 Or AJ was being resourceful and used the hides of fallen animals, probably because of old age.I mean, if you were a farmer, and you had animals... and animals eventually die for one reasion or another, and leather was useful for you, wouldn't you use as much of the corpse as possible, specifically the hide, instead of just throwing it away?
