Shadow reminded them of the crossing, the large expanse of open field just beyond the everfree forest. The Royal army setup their command post and camps along the edge of the forest, on the other side of the vast field lies the black stone fortress of Vampireece. The large fort was built in secret by the long thought dead bat ponies, its walls stood high and from the first ever Royal attack it stood strong as the gates or walls were never breached. They had to sneak past the royal camp and then across the vast battle field were patrols from each side watch carefully. Shadow met eye glare unwavering, he knew that though Moonlite was partially insane and believed that Nightmare Moon was her one and only Queen, she was still a good pony. "Moonlite, you are kind and caring, but Nightmare Moon does not wish for the same future you and I fight for now. I believe that Princess Luna is our true Queen of the Night, you must see she is more caring than Nightmare Moon." He explained heart-fully. He said as he took off into the sky."Sir, we just got a report from Ponyville, the two bat ponies from Lunas meeting were just caught er.. feeding... off two mares." He turned around and flew off with his brother."As is to be expected, it's how they survive." Soul said, having heard and even witnessed the feeding of bat ponies. "Make sure they are given medical attention and give them the whole 'we'll find them and bring them in blah blah blah' stuff. The Stallion saluted and headed off.Shadow and Bloodline stayed to the very edge of the vast field, it was a longer route but they would not be spotted by any patrols. Shadow was cut off as a medium built Unicorn barged in, his armor was the same as theirs with the gem on the chest plate, his helmet had a bayonet in front of his horn. Shadow glared at the dark unicorn bat pony, "To what do we owe the please of, Black Star?" He said with an annoyed tone.
