Zeig
Well that'd died faster than a flower in winter. He wasn't the only one who thought so, too - to his right, Zing was giving him a rather incredulous glance, mug half-raised to his muzzle for an aborted drink, while Stout was nervously looking about himself as if he expecting tables to start flying. The others seemed nigh oblivious, which probably frightened Inkbrand more than it should. Because seriously. Who could miss the sudden tension that had abruptly cut into the laughter-filled and raucous air to turn the entire conversation into this...stalemate? The Aerion and stallion who'd been so intent on the challenge alongside himself, for one, had apparently petered themselves out, leaving the tattoo-clad stallion feeling almost foolish in his enthusiasm. Bucking weird. Maybe bringing the Aerion over to the table hadn't been such a good idea - the "old flame" angle was looking more and more likely, even if the two of them had the best bucking poker faces in Equestria."...Weeelp," Inkbrand finally said, with a significant glance exchanged with all his friends, "think this pub's dried out for us." The sarcasm in his voice was heavy, but the grey Earth Pony deigned to comment further, pushing back from his seat. Zing and Stout stood up as well, relief evident on their features - as did Blitz, though he was obviously confused from the sudden turnover. "Let's hit that pub we saw up the street," he insisted, even as he gave a goodbye nod to their alcoholic patron and quick wink towards the Aerion. "You're still paying me with dinner, eh?" A whirlwind of protest from Stout Heart was easily and promptly ignored as the four of them sloppily - though rather steadily, which was impressive - made their way out the door, the telltale signs of a raunchy love song beginning to echo up the darkened streets.
