Long tail, white highlights. Eye Color: Dark Gray Cutie Mark: White star next to a black wand. Usually hidden by makeup. Physique: Slim. Origin: Born in Canterlot. Roleplay Type: Mane. Occupation: Uses Magic to do Odd-Jobs, or nothing. Motivation: Live life, using Magic to make it easier. Personality: Slides between shy and bellicose. Unreliable at times, but can be almost psychotically loyal to a cause that she believes in. Fairly well educated, but not too disciplined. Likes: Magic, cupcakes, either gender. Dislikes: Show-offs, unnecessary cruelty, close-minded ponies. Character Summary:Born to two Unicorns, made wealthy from writing many self-help books, Flashlight spent most of her time as a Filly training under some of the most talented spell-casters in Canterlot. Soon, she had surpassed several of her teachers, and realized her magic potential. It was then that she gained her cutie mark and learned what she wanted to do in life. She wanted to enchant it. She wanted to live life, knowing that she could always fall back on her magic abilities. Although, she felt that her Cutie Mark conveyed that she did some sort of evil magic, so she tried her best to hide it.Flashlight's abilities gave her a slight sense of superiority among other ponies. However, she tends to get a crush on anyone with a higher magic ability than her. This leads to many embarrassing moments, and was part of the reason she had to run away from everything she knew in Canterlot, after being found in an incredibly shameful position with her final teacher, a well respected mentor and one of the greatest magic users in Equestria. Once away from Canterlot, she spent her last several birthdays as a Filly alone, between towns. So we would assume that a pony cannot hide a Cutie Mark. However, you can say that she uses make-up to cover it up.Character looks good so far, but the Character Summary seems a bit short.What did her parents do for a living? Did she leave Canterlot by herself, or did her whole family move away? Did she run away? Why does she hide her Cutie Mark? How exactly did she get it (situation)? How did she end up in Fillydelphia? Was it something or somepony that drew her there?You have a good application here, it could just use a little expansion. Also you still haven't explained to us how she received her cutie mark mind elaborating on that?I figured it was obvious.Cutie Mark gained through magic ability, and the fact that she had to move out of Canterlot explained how embarrassed she was of the experience with her teacher, so she probably wouldn't want to see her again.As for personality, I like to let it develop throughout the RP so that everypony's reactions will be more genuine. It's highly illogical to have her gain her cutie-mark due to magic ability for if that was the case mostly all unicorns would gain a cutie-mark through their magical practice. I mean what special event caused her to get her cutie-mark something like Twilight Sparkle she used magic but didn't gain her cutie-mark after figuring out how to turn a page with magic she gained it at a special time and event that showed she had a lot of magical ability. Also if she moved about every time she had an embarrassing moment over a simple crush she would run out of places to live fairly quickly chances are Flashlight would have to get over the embarrassment and move on instead of moving to a whole different region over one pony.
