Name: Dotty Droll

Sex: Lady

Age: Young Mare

Species: Earth Pony

Pelt Color: Dark Grey

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: thick wavy light caramel loosely tied back, shaggy bangs

Eye Color: pale yellow

Cutie Mark: Rusty skeleton key

Physique: a little chunkier than average

Origin:Hoofington

Roleplay Type: Mane

Occupation:Antique store clerk and antique hunter

Motivation: Finding old lost or forgotten items and bringing them back to life so their charm can be appreciated anew.

Likes: That old world charm, grand old buildings, ponies that practice good manners, Granny’s baked goods and unexpected finds.

Dislikes: Hustle and bustle, throwing away anything(useable), acting how a proper mature Manehattanite is supposed to and work with no breaks

Character Summary: Dotty was born in Manehattan to a successful real estate agent(dad) and well-to-do interior designer(mom). She and her siblings were all groomed to be proper Manehattanites a task that sometimes proved difficult for little Dot. It was hard for the little filly to try and behave like an adult when she just wanted to make believe and daydream. She sometimes followed her parents during their work but she would get upset when her father would take her to an old building that was going to be demolished to make room for something else. When her mother’s brash contemporary designs confused her she was told she had no understanding of the art. With all the pressure from her parents and siblings she only felt content when visiting her great aunt, Doily Dear, in Hoofington, where she could be spoiled with treats, knitted clothes and affection.

One day while shadowing her father, she spotted an old grandfather clock that was being tossed out. She immediately loved it, despite it being broken. She begged her father to let her have it, promising to fix it up. He relented and weeks later when the clock was chiming again Dotty Droll found she had a skeleton key cutie mark.

As she got older Dotty spent more and more time in Hoofington helping her great aunt with her antique store. It started out with helping to lift items too heavy for her great aunts back. Then she was checking books and keeping stock. Dotty finally gave in and made the move to Hoofington living with her great aunt and Plum Prim, Doily’s stern long time companion.

Now a Hoofingtonian Dotty Droll takes full advantage of her new home. She walks the stony shores enjoying the smell of the sea and occasionally finding an odd treasure. She goes to the docks to pick up shipments and listens to the sailors’ tall tales and varied swears. Her very favorite thing is visiting abandoned buildings, discovering their secrets. Her hope is to one-day refurbish these old buildings so they can be useful and appreciated by everyone, instead of being torn down and forgotten.

In speaking Dotty has the soft drifting voice of a pony that isn’t paying attention. And she usually isn’t. Dotty does her best to be kind and polite but anypony is likely to find themselves being ignored at times because Dotty is in her own little world. She’s strong enough from carrying plenty of furniture but sometimes shirks her duties to go wandering about.

Dotty shrinks away from ponies with big personalities even if they’re friendly. She seems to lose her voice and even hides behind others like a child. Dotty does enjoy the company of those she deems “properâ€â ladies and gentlecolts. An assessment she makes more on a pony’s actions than their way of speaking. Dotty does have a sassy streak having spent a bit of time around sailors.

I love this so much! She's just so cute! I'm sure our other pony named Vintage would love her she is the antique pony of Fillydelphia, but I would love to know more about her personality wise. What is her goal and how is she like when interacting with others?

Updated for goal and personality
Lol I also have a character that lives in Hoofington AND is an Antique Hunter.

Aw! They can all be buddies and gush over old trinkets. And friendly competitors. :D

With Vintage maybe all the ponies could have their own little antique society!

Who knows? Maybe Granny Smith could join because she IS an ANTIQUE!

:lol::D:D:D
