MLP - Halo RP. OCC/Interest Check/Sign-up

Hey all.

So it's been a while since I posted something here, but me and RDD (RainbowDaringDash) have opted to start up a Halo/MLP Rp.

Now while the story line I won't reveal due to spoilers, it will be a customised one with a story that will take a lot of twists and turns. Myself and RDD will be co-hosting it, and we will be going back and forth to try keep the rp experience lively and fun.

I've currently not created an application sheet (I'm lazy) so if interested, throw a message ehre and if you wanna use your own app sheet, go right ahead since as long as it covers what is required, it'll be fine.

The RP is set before the events of Halo 5, not long after Requim.

NOTES FOR APPS:

Yes, you can be a Spartan. Obviously there will be looking at what version of Spartan. You Cannot before a Spartan evolution 1, 2 or 3. Spartan 4-5 are acceptable. If you don't wish to be a Spartan, ODST and Marines are also acceptable, just remember that you are not a Spartan and would lack the mentality and training that comes with it.

Yes, you're allowed custom 'loadouts' with weaponary. While understandly Spartans are capable of using most weapons they come across in the field, each Spartan is a person first and will still have a preferred style. In addition, your character may not know how to reload certain weapons (such as a Covy Carbine) if they're purely focused on light arms and CQB training.

While some Spartans are seen to have A.I systems with them, which you must include in your app, be aware that there will be consideration about if the A.I will be allowed due to the abilities at what an A.I is capable of, which as i'm sure we've all played the Halo games, we have a very good idea what an A.I does for combat and well as out of combat situations. You are able to have one if you're a Spartan, however we aware you may be denied it if we deem it unneeded or OP.

If you have any questions, any at all, please message myself, RDD or reply to this thread and we will get back to you.

Thanks!

Hi there~! Mind if I join? ;)

Here is my app. I'll gladly add or change some things. Just let me know. I look forward to this~!

Name: Forge Ivory

Age: 37

Rank: (ODST) Warrant Officer

Personality: Forge speaks with a thick Scottish accent. He has laid back an easy going nature. However, due to his sheer size he can be rather intimidating at times. He isn't quick to anger and has a good grasp of the word patience, however, when angered he can become reckless and stubborn. He is quick with a joke and rarely acts his age. Though aside from his playful nature he can be quite level headed when need be. Forge can be rather blunt and doesn't have a problem speaking his mind. He often uses his height to his advantage when faced with an argument.

Appearance/Armor: Wears a standard black and grey ODST BDU armor. Hair is a dark crimson red that is messy and short with a short braid in the back fitting nicely with his roguish appearance. Owns a pair of forest green eyes. Forge is built tall and strong.

Weapons: Standard M7S Caseless Submachine Gun and M6C/SOCOM

Character Application Form:

Name:  Midnight Rose

Rank: Staff Sergeant

UNSC Branch: ODST 105th Branch

Age: 25

Gender: Mare

Armour Appearance: Midnight wears Standard ODST armour painted Black. Her Helmet has a dark blue tinted visor. Her chestpiece of modified from standard ODST issues, having more mobility and extra storage room for weapons, specifically small knives.

Physical Apperance:  Under her uniform, Midnight is 5’7 with bright amber eyes and, despite regulation, long dark blue hair. While physically small, her arms and legs have obvious signs of strength.

Weapon Presence: M7 Caseless SMG, M6 Magnum Pistol, Personal Collection of Knives. Midnight likes to consider herself a ‘jack of all trades’ in combat, however she’s always had an affinity to getting in closer and personal. If ever presented with the option, she’ll bring out her blades and get cutting.

Prefered weapons Kit: M7 Caseless SMG, M6 Magnum, M90 CAWS Shotgun, BR55HDBR Battle Rifle. Personal collection of Knives, grenades.

History: Midnight had been part of the UNSC young group when she was young, originally joining the military as a Navy Pelican Pilot, which she aced her tests and flew for a year during the Great War against the Covies. After a particularly nasty battle on Jerrico 8 where she was trapped with a faction of marines, she applied from the Pelican runs to an ODST unit, entering their 6 month rapid-training course. She passed the course, but she was overshadowed by several in her group and assigned  to low level ODST teams.

During the great war, she began to get noticed by her superiors, and with this notice, the ODST started to roll in favours and was moved over to the 105th, the Helljumpers division, where she was assigned to the RISE Squad, serving as the 3rd in command. After the war, the RISE ODST team was moved to more subtle resistance clean-up missions, and this continued for months until OPERATION: FREE BIRD.

OPERATION: FREEBIRD on paper was a simple mission, and one that never exsisted in accordance to UNSC records. ODST Fireteam RISE was sent in with orders to extract a high value target who was being held in a covernment base, remove all high ranking offiers and return to base unnoticed. The operation was a trap, set by a covernment sympathiser in the UNSC which lead to the death of 10 RISE members, only two escaping. Sergeant Midnight Rose was one of the survivors. After the mission, ONI approached herself and surviving squadmate, offering them placements in the Spartan Program, which she refused. She didn’t need to become a Spartan to prove herself, and her squadmate did, she promised to show him he was wrong.

Years past that, Midnight now leads her own ODST fireteam “Ronah”, working as a Black Ops team for ONI as well as official UNSC Military Orders. She has refused several promotions in order to stay her rank and lead her team in the field rather than being in charge of a company of troops. She prefers it that way.

“With all due respect Major, i refuse promotion to any rank that’ll call my duties outside of my team. I handpicked my squad, I refuse to leave them. No one gets left behind on my watch”

Mics: Midnight has always believed, ever since the officially announcement of the Spartan Program, that the soliders were ‘less than human’ and, after being in the ODST,s wasn’t shy in the public statement of “Whatever a Spartan can do, an ODST can do just as well, if not better”.

In addition, Midnight has a strong understanding of Shanghellion, the language of the elites, as well advanced computer skills and the training on how to fly Phantoms. She gained this knowledge of Covernment systems during a time where she worked with the Elites under RISE, being the envoy of her team and, in learning the Elite’s language and weapons, began to understand their warrior culture and even the stories of the Great Journey the Covernment was originally based on.

Name: Skyzipper, though he is known as Sky by those close. To all others, he is known as Delta 116.

Rank: Lieutenant

UNSC Branch: Spartan Black ops, solo operative. Call sign Delta 116. Spartan Mark V

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Armour Appearance: He wears a ODST helmet UA/CNM, adapted to the spartan suit. O his left shoulder he has a jump jet, while on his right he has a ODST armor. His chest is a Tactcal Recon varient. On his wrist is a Tacpad. On his left leg, just on his hip he has a Hard Case. His visor is silver, though he can switch it to black at will. He also wears FJ/Para knee guards. He wears a Black circle with a wolf as a emblem that is wear most would have a UNSC mark. The armor primary is Colbalt, while the secondary is brick.  Although its spartan armor, he barely feels it, able to do flips and move with extreame agility. (that is the armor i use on Reach, which im using for him. If you don't know what it looks like, everything there is a actual reach item, so you can look it up)

Physical Appearance: He has a average build, stands 5'8, so he was considered small sometimes. He has long red hair, that goes just down to his neck, just past it. Thankfully, it can't be seen under his helmet. It covers the front of his face also.

Weapon Prefence: Sky is a CQC specialist, able to take out a squad in close combat while barely getting hit, thanks to his speed. Although he rathers doing that, with his four combat knives and duel Magnums, he is no stranger to firefights, able to use a Assault rifle with extreme accuracy, while also using a sniper for range if he needs to. Although he is a expert with balistic weapons, he is not so familiar with most explosives. While being a great throw with grenades, he has trouble using weapons like Rocket launchers and Spartan lazers, though he can do it thanks to training he was forced to go through.

Prefered weapons Kit: Four specially made combat knives, two M6 magnums, MA5D Indivual Combat rifle, SRS99-S5-AM sniper. A energy sword. three Frag grenades.

History:

From a young age, Sky had enlisted to join the UNSC, but due to his age, he was not permitted to join. Though that did not mean he quit. He trained every day, learning how to shoot properly, learning how to fight hand to hand, and by the time he was old enough to join the armed forces, he thought he was ready. During the tests, and training, to see who was top of the class, Sky easily took the cake. He was the best shot in his ground, and easily the most skilled in hand to hand, managing to take down all but the instructors at once after a particularly nasty fight someone started with him. He was suspended for a week after that, but he came back more ready then ever.

Through the next month, Sky had become better, and his instructors had sent a letter to the ODST branch talking about a promising recruit who might fit there bill. The next week, they arrived, and after viewing him, they sent him towards there training course. He stayed there for a year, training none stop. He finished the whole training course for the ODST's, but shortly after, he and his squad were sent out to the front lines to support the UNSC fight against the Covenent.

He fought against them for a year, rising up to Seargent in his squad, but after one particularly brutal mission, where he had lost his whole squad except his second in command, he was transfered to a different unit, and his partner was assigned somewhere else. Sky was now a Lieutenant in the 105th Helljumpers division, in RISE. He was second in command, working all the cleaning up duties after the war finally ended. This continued for month, until he and his squad were sent on OPERATION: FREEBIRD. The op was simple enough, on paper, and it was going well until they got to the point, which was when it went south. The lives of ten helljumpers were lost that day, and Sky took the dog tags from every one of them. This was the second squad he had lost, only himself, and one other remaining. He hated this feeling, he hated not being able to help them.

After the mission, when ONI came to them, offering Spartan implants, Sky was quick to accept. He was a ODST, but even as the UNSC's best he couldn't protect his squad, he was hoping this would. But when the other survivor declined them, he felt a little hurt, knowing that he was about to lose another partner.

After that, he became the first Mark 5 spartan  to actually survive and be able to go to combat duty. He enlisted in the black ops area, and after seeing his record, he was accepted in without a second thought. He was offered a squad, mainly consisting of spartan IV's, but he declined.

Iv lost to many team mates in these fights..... I can't risk losing more

Sky has run countless successful ops, from evacing UNSC personal in trouble, to taking camps of enemys. It had been years since he had actually became a Spartan, and even with all the good he did, none of it was on record. He never got any more promotions, but he didn't need them. He knew it was unnecessary for him, after all, he was a Black op. As far as the UNSC were concerned, he didn't exist in anything but rumor.

Misc: Sky hates using heavy weaponary, like gun turrets and things. He is fine using them on the back of a warthog if needed, but he dislikes the weight of them when he carries them around. He also hates explosive weapons like the Rocket launcher, grenade launcher and Spartan lazer, though the SL he has a slight fondess due to its effectivness. He knows how to use most if not all of the Covenent weaponary after countess engagements with them as a ODST, and even more as a Black ops when he had no ammo and had to field learn. He picked it up quickly.

Hello everyone~

I want to say that I'm truly sorry for the hold up. Real life has kept me quite busy lately and it doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.  Also I think I'll be withdrawing my app and sitting this one out. Again I'm really sorry for any hold ups. You guys have fun~! :D

That's a shame to hear the loss of Seajay, however it is your decision and I cannot force it. Hope all will be sorted soon.

On the side note, Daboom, i'm 90% sure you've been sent your originally application by RDD, which if you could repost, would just allow me a final confirmnation and then we can begin.

Name:Sol Novaverse
Rank: corporal
UNSC Branch: Spartan infantry
Age: 22
Armour Appearance: Red Air Assault armor Colored with yellow flames here and there. Yellow visor as well.
Physical Appearance:  Sol is 5 foot four. She is athletic in the speed sector. She can move quicker than most Spartans in her position. However she isn't stronger than most. Her eyes are breathtakingly Red and her hair is bright yellow her hair is long but tied up to wear her helmet. She has Red Nordic Tatoos on her body.
Weapon Preference: Sol prefers weapons that burn. Incendiary ammo, grenades, flame throwers. She even has a special weapon made just for her. She can fight hand to hand but uses a Knife in close quarters.
Prefered Weapon Kit: She has a small portable flamethrower that is light but easy to use. She calls it firebug. She has a Assult rifle  outfitted with Dragonbreath as well as normal ammo. Her backup is a knife with a red metallic tint.
History: Sol's history is much like anyone else. She was a typical marine, she worked hard, she obeyed every order and followed everything to the book. She was noted for her sharp reflexes, speed, agility but not her strength. She was also noted to be very giggly, bubbly and positive in her field. Keeping everyone's moral high in her squad. She did however have a small problem. She was in love with fire. Her small clich was almost enough to get her discharged but her superiors saw so much potential. So they sated her by training her with fire weaponry.

She had proven herself further by taking up the assult against the covenant when in battle. Slaying several elites, a dozen grunts and seven jackal's and destroyed one ghost.... With five clips of ammo. Half a canister of fuel and her knife. This earned her a promotion to corporal and enstated into the Spartan program.

Misc: now that she is a spartan she has become a little more tame. Not speaking unless spoken too.

She will stay in the background of this roleplay.

Excellent. So I will start this hopefully later today after Uni, if not then Tomorrow before work. The story and objective for the first mission will be pretty simply laid out. Again, there is more than 1 way to 'skin a cat'

If you are interested in participating Eventide, i'm more than happy for you to post an application, and if it is approved by myself and RDD, i'll (hopefully) be able to work them in the story depending on who they are. I may be able to add them instantly, it may have to be in some time, but I will try if the application is approved.

In response to your question, yes. All characters are basically human parralles of our OC's since the addition of magic and flying would simply over-complicate the lore and Rp.

Name: Storm Scout

Rank: Spartan. Corporal, prior to joining the SPARTAN-IV program

UNSC branch: Spartans - tag is Lima 337

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Armour: MJOLNIR GEN2. Permutations of the Scout helmet, Pathfinder chestpiece and shoulders, and Countoured forearm and leg plating. Steel coloured, cobalt secondary, with Frost visor.

Appearance: 6’10”, lean and sinewy, a standard result of UNSC training and Spartan augmentation. Hair is short, chestnut-brown, mildly spiky, and eyes are deep blue. Arms are mottled with faded shrapnel scars.

Weapon preference: Small arms accurate at close to long range. A knife for CQB. Tries to procure other weapons in the field.

Loadout: At range, a standard issue M6H magnum (8-round magazine, 12.7x40mm Semi-Armour-Piercing High-Explosive) and M395 DMR (14-round magazine, 7.62x51mm Full Metal Jacket Armour-Piercing). At close quarters, an M11 combat knife. As support and depending on the operation, two M9 High-Explosive Dual-Purpose fragmentation grenades. Rarely requisitions armour ability tech, instead preferring to acquire other equipment as it is found in the AO.

History: Prior to the military, Storm was a student from a human colony. He enlisted at the earliest possible age. His motivation, being born into the interstellar war, stemmed from witnessing the widespread devastation of the human colonies, including his own. UNSC ships and personnel were barely able to buy time for evacuation before the bombardment. With his mother and sister, he watched the glassed surface of the planet disappear behind them. In horrific clarity he was able to observe each soul ripped screaming from the world, and knew the course ahead. One man might not make much of a difference, perhaps, but there was at least a chance to deal retribution. This is how he burned his future in plasma, and struck alight a tranquil fury.

He displayed decent natural aptitude in training, paired with a consistent demonstration of hard-earned, practised efficiency and an exceptional level of focus in exercises and testing. The only problem was his tendency to forge ahead on his own, lapsing into search and destroy independently from any plan put together. As a result this habit began to be incorporated into team strategies, utilising the wandering marksman as a distraction or a vanguard against the other team. When reprimanded and questioned about this behaviour, he respectfully intoned his thought that there was never a wrong time to take the fight to the enemy. However, he took the contrary advice into consideration and started to moderate his ubiquitous assaults.

His skillset translated comfortably into survival, however. Upon completion of his training he was deployed in the marine corps for a couple of years. He favoured the battle rifle; with his systematic approach he was formidable in both urban environments and open battlegrounds, watching his corners as if he had a second pair of eyes, and never requiring a spotter in long range engagements. He served in a multitude of fireteams, never sticking to one, either due to his unsatisfactory contribution to teamwork or cold impersonal manner on missions. That aside, he consistently provided solid sniper support and offensive strength to his unit. He took interest in special forces and was likewise examined as a candidate, ultimately joining the ODSTs to carve further into the path and advance his agenda.

Despite superior training, of course, jumping feet first into hell is never a walk in the park. It only takes one mistake. His last drop was during Operation: DELIVERANCE. Objectives included the evacuation of an inner colony under Covenant attack due to the supposed presence of a Forerunner construct. While others teams dropped and mobilised, theirs had a fateful encounter with a large platoon, leaving his squad scattered or KIA. Being further back at his vantage point, he lived and had space to double back a ways. All alone in a dead city, it was clear that he had to find his way out. He fell into the familiar habit of wandering; but this time the threat was not the Tactical Training rounds of the academy; rather they were the blamite needles, plasma bolts, superheated metallic spikes and radioactive projectiles he knew all too well. Demonstrating that moderation he had learned before, with automag and M7S at hand, the lone trooper engaged a few stray Unggoy and Kig-Yar in his path where unavoidable. He returned with a rather featureless story of slogging out of the place, embellished by his company into a guerilla-flavoured tale of derring-do. He withdrew into his thoughts, guilt and anger at the casualties growing sharp but muted under him.

Progress continued apace. As the survivor's service record came under scrutiny, he was eventually recommended to the expanding SPARTAN-IV program. The invitation to the project piqued his interest. Because of his rank, he viewed it as a great opportunity afforded and judged primarily by true merit. The chance was within his grasp to make a real difference... or at least deal a bit of retribution.

With the new Promethean threat looming, he is just as eager to test his mettle against them after New Phoenix.

Misc: Quick and lethal, maintaining a methodical attitude, but also particularly young, relatively inexperienced and rather headstrong. Might not speak much on missions. Not much of a team player, although mostly trusting and friendly with comrades. Has a fascination with Covenant and Forerunner hardware incuding their weapons, seeking to understand and harness them.
