Character Summary:

Born to a caring nurse mother and a lawyer as a father, Free's interests were always about other ponies, and socializing with them. At school he was the sort of colt not popular enough to get class/school captain, but liked and charismatic enough to get roles like class representative, and event leader. His actual grades in classes were average, except for history, his favourite class. Back home, his parents encouraged him towards his father's job, giving him law and social studies to read.

However at school Free often had rough encounters with bullies, mostly because he insisted on trying to stand between them and their intended targets. More than once he explained strange bruises away as a flying accident, wishing to keep the appearance of outward strength. This continued even on his rare trips down to the surface - his instinct to be the good neigh-bour kept getting in the way of his own safety. His cutie mark appeared when he stepped in to stop a couple of rough earth-ponies from abusing a lone Zebra. Free took a vicious pummeling as he let the Zebra escape, hoof-marks covering his body. But even as the pain faded he saw with a weak smile that his cutie mark had appeared, and that his talent was to stand up for others, to give them a hoof out no matter what.

From there he moved on to Canterlot, studying politics and sociology for a while before someone took notice of his talent. It arrived by mail one early morning, a letter from a representitive of Princess Celestia. His new job was to be an ambassador for friendship (A consul, within his own country) , to stop all conflict where he could. Since then his job, mostly self-decided, has taken him across Equestria, greeting ponies and all other races with a friendly smile, before giving his best to solve their problems. At the moment he dwells again in Canterlot, attempting to study other races.

Firstly, what does his name mean, exactly? It just doesn't sound very pony-like, so a little explanation is needed.

Also, prior relationships with cast characters is frowned upon, especially with such a high up character like Princess Celestia.

Oh, you say he's an ambassador for friendship in the Character Summary, but you say in his Occupation that he is a Consul. These should probably be the same, or else explained, in order to avoid confusion.

Is he as tall as the picture implies? If so, you should put that under his Physique.

Okay, gave him a quick update. I'm not sure about the Princess Celestia thing, so I made his job come from a representitive. In either case he wouldn't know the Princess personally. Just not too sure who would give out a job like that ^_^;
