Singlestone frowned and his eyes narrowed "Back home, we have the say 'you break it, you fix it'. You caused this. If Harle is dead, her blood is on your hooves. This is the reason there is only one creature in this world I will ever call 'captain'" he turned on a dime and began walking away, pausing, thinking better perhaps and adding "Thank you for at least providing the ship." he then continued off, muttering things in German.

Iggy looked at the grey unicorn as he marched out. once the doors closed she looked over at Ice "um... if I may say so... I'm confused. Whats going on? what does Blackclaw have to do with those mind-readers and why would that drive her to suicide?"

The other two nodded, the three of them not quite having all the pieces to put the whole story together.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
A small amount of rage built up in Ice Storm from Singelstone's comment. She most certainly did not cause this, and if Harle wasn't mentally prepared for what could have happened on this mission then that was her own fault. She didn't want anything bad to happen to the griffon, but at no point was any of this situation her fault. She would have commented to him about it but he left before she had a chance to. "If his loyalty to her was half of what he actually says it is, then we wouldn't be here dealing with this right now. The fact that not just him, but her entire crew allowed things to escalate to this level to begin with is asinine, but with the talents that those to possess it's easy to see where the problem starts. Without their magic being nullified, they can turn the entire populace against one another. I actually didn't know of this ability myself until they tried to use it on me..." She explained to Iggy as they asked what exactly was going on, as they only had bits and pieces of it.
She once again pulled out the binders for her to look through. "I know you didn't get a good chance to look over everything in the tavern, but everything they did to Harle is in this binder. The most she's ever actually been guilty of is some bar fights from ponies that were just like you. Out for blood because they heard her name and how poisoned it had gotten from everything that was filled here. Every single one of those documents are public record. Every single one of them shows that every allegation made against Harle has come from the two ponies that we now have on board. This entire feud happened because Harle was dating their son. Now, on this mission, Felix admitted to her, albeit indirectly that he didn't care about Harle, at least not anymore and never bothered to tell his parents that she moved on because he didn't want them to feel like they won. You three were there for that part so you know that what I'm saying is true," she said pulling out more of the binders and hoofing them over to Cloudy and Jasper.
"Harle is not the only one that they have done this to, and without a doubt if left uncheck, they would have done their best to bring you three down as well just by looking at you. This is why I was quick to agree with Jasper. A pony can be a decent individual. Ponies as a race, in all of their varieties are cruel vicious monsters that want nothing more than to better themselves at the cost of everyone around them. Jasper is every bit as right to be wary about every pony he meets as they are of him. After all," she said looking towards him. "A good number of ponies wouldn't bat an eye at beating the living tar out of another pony if a dragon is present to blame it on. Jasper's hooves could be clean and he'll still get arrested and convicted of the crime simply because he's a dragon. Because everypony else will have the mindset, 'there's no way those other ponies could have done that. they are too upstanded, and even if they did, it was likely cause the dragon said he'd eat them if they didn't'."
"The only way to start fixing that, is to fix the corruption at the top. If we can't stop the racist corruption that's trickling down from the 'nobles' and make it to where they are actually helping others. Nothing in the bottom ranks will change. Being a pony that experienced first hoof nobility ripping her family apart and crawling back through the ashes to get where I am now, I'm sickened by it. These ponies will be held accountable for what they've done, and I'm putting the rest of the noble circle on alert. That way they know, that this kind of apples won't fly anymore," she finished letting them read over everything. "Oh, and because all of this is on public file, all pulled from archives located in the public dominion, they are all properly obtained legal evidence to support the case. It's all been right under their noses, and Twilight will be able to sense the corrupted power within them. I'm done playing nice with those who who are evil enough to hurt others for their own gain. There will be consequences, and I will see them through."
The trinity leafed through the binders, all of them disgusted at what they saw, though until Ice explained the link between Harle and Felix, they still seemed confused, at that point they began nodding along, even if they felt Ice might have been overstating some things.
Jasper though did mutter 'I have claws, not hooves, thank you.....' ever-so-slightly insulted by Ice's comment, though also knowing it was a colloquial slip, not an intended slight, so he didn't make a huge fuss about it.
"what I am wondering..." started cloudy "Is why Harle got involved with Felix in the first place. No doubt she knew about his parents, why would she even pursue the relationship... given that she's a pirate I am suspicious there might have been an ulterior motive..." of course the spy would be looking deeper into things and searching for connections that weren't there --- and none of them seemed to realize the old 'blinded by love' trope was painfully alive and well.
Twilight Sparkle sighed, shuffling the papers in front of her as she considered all that would soon come into play. She didn't like playing this role of hers, but it was hers to play in the grand scheme of things. A normal judge and jury may not fully appreciate this, and when called to act, Twilight was somepony who could hopefully understand the magical complications of the actions that had been taken. It made her uncomfortable. She knew it was part of her duty as Princess to act as a guide to all of Equestria but could she really as easily pass judgment on her own citizens? It had been a topic that she had discussed very briefly with Celestia and Luna. It had been something they hadn't enjoyed either, though Luna had been perhaps somewhat less taken aback by it. In no way did they shy away from it, but it was something Twilight knew to be wary of.
The courtroom she had chosen was small. It didn't have the grandeur or pomp and circumstance that came with certain other courtrooms. It was dimly lit and direct. No rows for viewers, no great and large Equestrian flag. The seal of the Princess Twilight Sparkle was carved into the ground and two large benches faced her, one for the defense and one for prosecution. She sat in her judge's seat, the witness stand next to her. It was a bare-bones effort. Not out of laziness, but to strip the process of personality beyond one of guilt, innocence, freedom, and punishment. On Twilight's other side was a glowing orb of purple aether, the color of it changing subtly and providing the only light (even if faint) aside from the large slits in the wall that allowed in the sunlight and moonlight in depending on the time.
"Let them in," she stated confidently, masking a good deal of her sadness at this task, the two guards near the door opening it to allow the accused and the accusers in. Two other guards were stationed along the wall closer to her, though both Twilight and her own guards were bathed only lightly in the light, her hooves seen but the back-half at best only half-glimpsed in the dim mood lighting of the room.
~~~Ice Storm~~~

As soon as Ice Storm started to respond to Cloudy's statement, the orb went off and one of her officers spoke up. "We are approaching the landing dock and Canterlto Castle. Princess Twilight has already been informed of our arrival."

"Copy," Ice Storm said before turning to the others. "Well, it looks like any further explanations or theories on ulterior motives are going to have to wait. It seems that we made better time to Canterlot than I was expecting us to. These Aether drives apparently work a lot better than expected on these smaller ships," she commented before standing up. "Why don't you three come see true Equestrian Justice prevail and not that slumlord justice that tends to be given to the lower communities?" She asked. She didn't wait too long for an answer though, as the final preparations for docking required her to be on the bridge.

Once she was on the bridge she tapped on the beacon. "Hail Canterlot Docking bay, Lunar Commander Ice Storm aboard the STR Endeavor requesting clearance to Dock. Two dangerous prisoners on board. Will need a security detail present for an escort to the courtroom," Ice Storm said.

"Permission granted, Princess Twilight is already waiting for you. The security detail will be present upon arrival," she received as the ship descended. The doors opened and the prisoners were escorted out of their cells that they were kept in and moved to directly behind Ice. Ice Storm followed the security detail all the way until they reaced the courtroom that they were taking her too and opened the door. It was a simple court room, nothing extravagant. It was fitting that these ponies wouldn't even get the luxury of a bombastic trial. She took her stance at the plantiffs stand and awaited everypony else to get into position.

As the small group filed in, it was clear that only the fact iggy knew this was an important criminal trial was all that was keeping the kirin from rushing up to twilight and pestering her with endless questions and talk about arcane studies, but despite this, iggy's eyes were still sparkling and she was shifting around in her seat, excited at just being this close to the princess! though the occasional prods from Cloudy and Jasper - who were sitting on either side of the kirin - kept her relatively calm... she still was acting like a fanatical filly who was in the presence of her idol... which was unfortunately a very true and apt description of the situation...

Sitting right next to twilight's 'bench' was the familiar purple and green dragon, holding a quill and a large scroll, acting as the stenographer, though he didn't seem to be taking this nearly as seriously as the others, looking quite calm and relaxed. Granted this really was just another day for him since he still mostly was tasked with taking notes on Twilight's activities and taking dictation for her many different letters, treaties, proclamations, and other legal documents. By this point his writing claw was probably so strong he could crush stones with it...

The two defendants though... they looked far worse for wear than when Ice had picked them up... their clothes were slightly more torn and dirty, as well as being in dissaray, much like the pair's manes and tails, they also were looking around nervously, their ears twitching and eyes darting around at every little sound... it seemed like something had happened to them during the journey... something devastating... and while Ice and her crew likely wouldn't notice it, around each of the plaintiff's necks were small bands of a purple material... these bands though felt just... wrong... on a primal level... despite being solid metal of some sort, they seemed to move and ooze with an oily appearance, and they contained vile unknowable magics, something that twilight might recognize from the darkest of dark tomes, written only in hushed whispers - a power that made even the likes of Discord and Tirak's magic seem pure and white... these bands contained dark, primal, eldritch magic. And any attempt, even by twilight herself to interfere with them caused the magic or spell in question to be absorbed into them. In fact if any attempt was made it would be clear that there was no way to remove these bands short of cutting off the ponies' heads... and the aura that the metal projected was likely the source of their distress, as it was warping their minds... though thankfully the aura was weak enough that it would not affect anyone else nearby, and most wouldn't even notice it unless they touched the bands themselves. If twilight wasn't scrutinizing the bands she likely wouldn't even notice them herself.

The two defendants were soon joined by a pony with a slicked-back mane and an immaculate business suit. Twilight and possibly even Ice would recognize him as one of the best -and most underhooved and vile- lawyers that money could buy. This would be a very difficult trial indeed.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
As the defendants were brought in, Ice Storm noticed that something seemed off with them. She couldn't really pinpoint what it was, but the aura that they radiated was even more vile than it was before. She wasn't entirely sure what they were up to, but they shouldn't be under any magical effects at all with their horns being inhibited. This was quite a peculiar development indeed. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Iggy using all of her restraint... and some of Jasper and Cloudy's restraint to keep her at bay from rushing Twilight. No doubt with her admiration of the princess she was feeling like a filly in a candy store right now. As it was though, things were about to get very serious.
About this time, Ice Storm noticed a couple of other ponies enter the room. She personally didn't recognize them, but she could tell that they were lawyers and judging by their suits and preparedness on such short notice, she gathered that they were either really good, or this isn't the first time that these two have been on trial. She would likely go with the latter. Unfortunately, there wasn't any time for her to run a background check on her opponent to figure out their strategies, but considering who they were representing, she had to imaging that they were just as vile and corrupted as they were. That was going to suck for them though, because Ice made sure that she followed all legal protocols including the reading of rights. All of her other evidence was public record and required no preauthorization as denoted in the freedom of information clause.
"Princess Twilight. We are gathered here today to bring forth the following charges against the defendants; Four counts of extortion, Five counts of embezzlement, ten counts of illicit predatory contracting, fifteen counts of slander, and twenty-nine counts of conduct unbefitting of nobility. I have supporting evidence to back up these accusations," she stated as they awaited her response.
