SapphireLightning Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 About myself.: I'm a rather new brony, and am still rather new to the scene, but just as much an addict as the next brony.I've been watching MLP:FiM for only a couple days, but it has definitely reminded me of a lot of things I must have forgotten on the long journey in my life. Being 20 years old, I'm obviously not the target audience, like most people, I'm sure, but it has opened my eyes to a lot of things, which I think is a good message.I'm very passionate about skateboarding, and strive to make it as far as I can before I wreck myself too bad to do so anymore. Being a Canadian though, when the snow falls, I'm screwed for skateboarding until the spring season. I actually wish there were a sort of "Winter Wrap-Up" instead of having to wait for the snow to melt so I can get back on my board at the beginning of the season.I'm also the radio manager at an online radio station, which is another big passion of mine. Being in online radio for over 6 years now, I know my share about broadcasting laws and such, and would love to get in at Celestia Radio if there's any possibility of it.But this is just me, and I invite you to ask any questions you'd like, because I'm a rather open person!Thanks everypony,Sapphire LightningHow did you hear about Canterlot.com?: I went searching for an MLP roleplay website, and I happened to notice Canterlot as the domain for this website, and thought it fitting that I should come here immediately.How did you became a fan of FiM?: I actually am the radio manager of an online radio station known as Fire Mage Radio, and one of my DJ's there absolutely loves MLP, and introduced me to the episodes. I watched the first one as a skeptic of course, but as the time rolled on, I began to enjoy it, even become an addict, but I don't think there's an anonymous group for MLP addicts....is there? Those days seem long gone, even at 20, but lessons are still being learned day to day, and it sounds funny, but MLP definitely is a part of me now. Even if your body grows old, its really how old you are in your heart and mind that actually matters, of course, that must come with knowing when to turn it off as needed as well. Although, does one really need to turn it off? I feel that the reason children are not taken seriously is because of their experience, not necessarily their maturity. With the knowledge one experiences from life, then that will become what one needs to progress. Which in itself, could be called growing up, I guess. (What can go wrong when you say I'm in? Hehe)I'll create a fanfic thread when I decide how I'm going to start it, but I can create a captive audience for both radio and otherwise. I know I myself have learned a lot too. It makes me miss being a kid!The show is that wonderful, innocent, magical escape from the drudges or everyday, contemporary adult life. At least that is what FiM is for me (and this place also as part of that), an occasional special escape where I don't have to conform to societies standards are just be lose among the super cute and friendly pastel ponies of Equestia for a little while.
