SirShadowdeath Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I personally think a good addition forum would be an "Ask Me" board where people can let others ask them questions. It would br a sub-board of introductions. I have seen this on many other boards, and it is usually a really fun, cool thing to participate in.

There is also the Private Message system that people can use to talk with others.
Autumn Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Sounds like a request for a direct rip-off from tumblr.Problem with those are most are bloated, unimaginative and uninteresting. There are simply too many of those. 1
weesh Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I love that function in tumblr. Mark Rosewater has thousands of fans and gets huge amounts of correspondence each day, and yet he has answered over 60 of my questions. I won't tell you how many I have asked. But he never replied to any of my emails. It can be done well, or done poorly. But for here? There are not celebrities on this board. We are a community of equals. I have never felt awkward sending a PM, even with harsh comments, because I think of you guys as my peers. Also, we all have an "about me" section in our profiles. Why not make the first line of that "ask me about curling" or whatever story you have to tell? The last couple of lines on my "about me" section describe my avatar and invite questions about it. Beyond that, there are spam forum games that could be created... 1
