Motivation: He invents lots of devices just for the sake of technology. But his strange ideas don't really help Equestria making any noteworthy steps forward.

Likes: Tinkering, logic puzzles if he has no idea at the moment

Dislikes: Stubbornness

Character Summary:

Lucky's a tinker through and through and always was. He often spends houres in his workshop, finishing one of his projects. But somehow his ideas are not really great, but strange ones. Who would ever need a steampowerd automatic brush? Since his devices are often much too complex to make them without any plans, Lucky also is quite a good draftspony, but he has no real artistic talents.

There's no special story about how he got his cutiemark. He simply got in one day after finishing his biggest project until then: A small steam engine. And it was exactly the kind of cutiemark that everyone expected.

His father Steamy Hooves was Train engineer while his mother Buttercup was train conductor, so they were away from home quite often. He practically was raised by his many relatives, if he didn't travel with his parents, which he did quite often in later years.

Although he enjoys being out with friends, sometimes he needs to be dragged out of his shop. He often loses track of time while working and thus is late for appointments all the time.

The activities he enjoys - apart from the obvious one - have also quite an intelectual nature, like chess or discussing anything of interest (philosophy or advanced magic for example, though he is far from being a specialist in any of these areas). Conversations outside of his field of interests are met with silence from his part, which makes him a not very talkative pony overall. He surely can be described as a good (and very patient) listener, who can keep secrets for himself.

When it comes to physical activities he normally isn't too happy about it and always needs a lot of conviction from his friends to take part (he likes a nice walk, though).

Although he can get a little annoyed when he is disturbed at his work, it's not easy to make him angry. He more likely seeks possible mistakes on his side or tries to discuss the problem, which isn't always the most effective course of action. Only extreme stubbornness showed real effects on his temper in the past.

He has no problem with approaching other ponies, but when he tries to sell his stuff on the street he usually carries his portable steam engine as power supply for his gadgets, which leads more often to irritation than succesfull advertisement (Still he manages to make enough money somehow). So, he can be described as a little excentric.

My suggestion to get started on gadgets is watch episodes that show twilight's science tech and mysterious mare do well, as those would give the best indication of modern technology in equestria. And then check with the mods on any other sort of concern.

Twilight's science tech is quite complex. If it isn't powerd by electricity, then by magic (at least the one in "Feeling Pinkie Keen". Are there other suitable episodes?). That's already a bit more than I planned on. I don't know if I would let him invent anything of this caliber. But I guess you're right, have to watch some episodes on that^^

Don't be so sure, they don't have any portable technology that we have seen. Possibly because of a lack of portable power in a small form factor.

We will give the portable steam-powered engine a pass, but be warned that things might change and you will probably have to change it so be sure you're willing for that! (If not you can just make this a crossover app then you can really go crazy.)

Other than that this is a rather unique app although I'm not sure how fun RPing an anti-social pony could be. Maybe he could have weekly/daily outings so he won't be such so secluded? I also think this pony could use a bit more of a personality! With that being said I hope you take my suggestions into consideration!

I already thought that I'm probably sailing close to the wind with this character. I'll give it a try, though. World of Equestria seems to be way more active than crossover. I guess it is possible to move the character if it doesn't work out? Even if not I can still make a new app with the same character for Crossover^^

My first thought about interacting with this character was kind of simple: He has to make money, so he sells his stuff. He should be able to make some social contacts with doing that, but I agree with you that he probably should be seen outside more often. I'll change that. (But didn't yet)

Regarding his personality... Let's see what I can make about that^^

Twilight's 'computer' is what is known as a "gag item", and is in no way a measure for Equestrian technology.

Well, I guess (nearly) all of Luky's Gadgets are gag items. But I'll just interpret that as "such technology is only allowed in the show". But as I said, this computer is already more than I wanted, so there's no real problem with that. I'll stick with mechanical devices.

I hope not. Gag items can't be used in Mane RP.
