Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: A rainbow coloured messy, slightly spiky mane, and a short spikey rainbow-coloured tail. Although they are spiked, they are not sharp, intimidating spikes, more messy flicks.

Physique: He is very, very small and so are his wings. His wings cannot fly as they are too small, and Spectrum himself is much smaller than other ponies his age.

Origin: Born and raised by two parents in Ponyville, alongside 7 brothers and sisters. They were all normal-sized and he was always the odd one out.

Roleplay Type: Mane Equestria

Occupation: Student

Motivation: Spectrum one day wishes to become the most amazing Pegasus in all of Ponyville, maybe even Equestria! Known for his fabulous flying skills, those marvellous, wide wings...

But, that seems so far away, and for now he wants to prove to his large family that he isn’t the runt of the litter – he should be treated as an equal, maybe even more.

Likes: Spectrum loves getting into trouble. He enjoys the thrill of being chased, and also likes to try athletic activities, like racing Earth Ponies and Unicorns (although he does wish he could race the pegasi!) and partaking in obstacle courses. He’s also pretty fond of his multi-coloured mane.

Dislikes: Being treated lesser to other ponies because of his size and inability to fly, sitting still, doing nothing

Character Summary: Spectrum has a hard time growing up among 7 perfect pegasi, with big wings, big brains and beautiful bodies, while he was stuck with a tiny body and useless wings. His siblings all looked down upon him, expecting him to mess up and embarrass the whole family. Despite his tough past, Spectrum has always been a good-hearted and clever pony inside. He doesn’t talk much unless he is with ponies he trusts and believes treat him as an equal. When he is with that sort of pony, he is outgoing, fun and cheeky.

As he lived with a pegasi family in Cloudsdale, young Spectrum has to be flown from the house to Ponyville on the strong back of his father, a bold and powerful Pegasus whom is very embarrassed by his ‘wimp of a son’. Despite his father thinking this, Spectrum is actually very brave and will stand up for what he thinks is right. He gets thought of as a wimp because he is small and can’t even fly. What use is a Pegasus without wings?

In his school in Ponyville, he gets teased because of his size and inability to fly. He tries to ignore it, but it has given over time, a very short temper to him and he easily gets angry and/or upset.

Spectrum’s name was given to him for the colour of his mane and tail. When he was born nopony had high hopes that he would survive, and, the little fighter he is, he managed to survive. Unlike his family, his friends are in Ponyville and he goes to school there. It is a hassle for Spectrum’s father to fly back and forth every day, so sometimes he sleeps round at a friend’s house.

The only ponies in his family that truly adore him are his grandparents. They are very supportive of the foal and enjoy watching him race and play with his friends in Ponyville. They live on the ground and Spectrum often visits them for dinner and to stay the night.

Ever eager, Spectrum loves to meet new ponies and befriend them. He’d love to have a pet to care for, as he likes to make others happy, however he is considered irresponsible by his parents and doesn’t think he’ll be getting a pet someday soon. One he’s grown up, and can fly better than anypony else, he wants to get a falcon, so he can race him all day in the sky.

Cutie Mark Story: Spectrum has dreamed many times of getting his cutie mark. He tries many things with his blank-flank friends, from spinning tops, to climbing trees and even to serving as a knight for Princess Celestia (that one didn’t turn out too great...) and has recently turned to attempting to play every instrument known to pony until he discovers a special talent for one. At the moment he is into the ukulele. What do his parents think of it? Well, if you were subjected to the awful noise of Spectrum’s playing every day, you’d be a little irritated too...

I'm okay with his siblings looking down on him, but not his parents. Regardless of how weak Spectrum may be, he's still their son.

In his school in Ponyville, he gets teased because of his size, inability to fly, and sometimes even because of his colourful mane (which he actually quite likes – it makes him feel special!)

I'm not sure why his mane would get made fun of... for one, Rainbow Dash has a rainbow mane, and nopony ever makes fun of it. Second, pony manes and coats can be all sorts of colors. So, this just doesn't seem to make sense.

Also, maybe you could create a picture of your pony using the Pony Creator.

I have edited the content and improved, and drawn two pictures of Spectrum to post, however the file sizze is too large so I shall be slimming them down and adding them shortly.

I am glad the part about his parents looking down on him was removed, that rather disturbed me as most folks love for their children knows no bounds, and often shines through even more for those kids who otherwise are shunned by their peers.
