Origin: Originated from a small village deep in the wheat belt. Roleplay Type: Mane Occupation: Currently in the courier service Motivation: Meeting new ponies and making friends. Helping those in need. Likes: Fishing, Learning new things, Camping Dislikes: Extreme warmth/cold, bullies/thugs Character Summary: Originally born in an agricultural environment, he longed to see the world as soon as he could competently fly. He was born nearsighted and has issues keeping his attention on things, but can be hyper-focused on other tasks, forgetting all other things. He wears goggles with corrective lenses so that he has normal vision. He is quite intelligent and caring for others. He isn't a particularly fast flyer but is quite maneuverable. Raised mostly by his grandmother in his early years since his mother, Sunrise Wisp, was single and working hard at various jobs to provide for him and his younger sister. His mother remarried another stallion who also wore corrective lenses but was handy with repairing the home. This created a more stable environment for him to grow and learn the meaning of responsibility. He is very casual and laid-back but can be very refined when he must be. His dream job is to devote himself to scientific study. He got his mark when he flew through a severe thunderstorm and by sheer force of will, completed his rounds as a newsfoal though his goggles were almost completely destroyed when a bolt of lightning struck a tree. The branch snapped off the tree and struck him in the head. Dazed, he fell to the ground with a resounding thud that could barely be heard over the howling wind and thunder. He got up, stretched, and assessed his injuries, realizing he was okay except for a throbbing headache, he took flight and completed his rounds. During this storm, he suffered a few injuries to his left rear leg from windblown debris and has a scar below the knee from a rock cutting him and another scar on his knee from clipping a tree with his leg. He currently resides in Cloudsdale.I apologize if the paragraph or backstory doesn't look very good. I have a problem with putting ideas into words. Otherwise this application is done but I will fluff out the bio some more if a member of the Helpstaff or Moderators asks me to.EDIT: My sister is gonna at least try to draw a picture of my character, just e-mailed her the specifics. It's alright for things like 'Name', 'Age', 'Species', etc., but we'd prefer if most or all of the Application was plain text. Thank you. The story runs better, and the meaning in his cutie mark is very powerful.Another small question, though, and this is a curiosity and not a critique - what duties was he performing in a thunderstorm when he was a foal? Was he a young newsfoal, or messenger foal, and a stray thunderstorm the pegasus weather teams couldn't quite corral properly blew in while he was out?
