Character Summary: Long Shot is one of the few pegasi living in the Wasteland, but he does not count himself as a 'Da****e.' Long Shot's grandsire was an Enclave politician who fled with his family when his policies became too unpopular with the Enclave high command. Long Shot spent much of his young life in Hoofington, not far from the Enclave settlement of Thunderhead. His grandsire foolishly hoped that someday the family could return to the skies, but other than some minor assistance from his old supporters, they never had any contact with other pegusii.

After his grandsire's death, Long Shot's family lost even the tiny bit of help they'd had from Thunderhead and had to move on. Being relatively sheltered, the family was not accustomed to the reality of the Wasteland and were set upon by slavers. In the ensuing fight, Long Shot's mother was killed, and he lost his left eye. Injured, and running out of ammunition, Long Shot picked up a rifle and got an extremely lucky kill-shot on the slaver leader that dispersed the attack, and earned him his cutie mark.

As Long Shot grew older, he fell in love with games of chance, and became a fixture in the casinos run by the various factions around Hoofington. His luck, however, seemed to run in streaks: When he won, he won big, but when he lost, he lost even bigger. After one particularly terrible day at the tables, it was, ah, 'strongly suggested' that he get out of Hoofington if he wanted to keep his wings. Since then, he's been roaming the various settlements in the Wasteland, hiring out his services to the highest bidder, then mostly gambling away his earnings.
