MoonMyth

Recommended Posts

Roleplay Type: World of Equestria

Name: Moon Myth

Sex: Female

Age: Young Mare

Species: Unicorn

Eye Color: Forest Green

Coat Color: Saddle Brown

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Moon Myth's mane and tail are lavender fading into sky blue with one highlight of sky blue on each. Her mane is thick and full, but straight, longer toward her nose, short and spiked up in the back. Her tail is long, and slightly shaggier than her mane, but otherwise boring.

Physique: Moon Myth is somewhat shorter than other ponies.

Cutie Mark: Moon Myth got her cutie mark later than most of her peers. She gained it when she realized that the moon had a strong influence on her stories and art. It was after completing her first oil painting, while gazing up at a full moon. Her cutie mark is a full moon with one of it's craters being heart shaped.

Origin/Residence: Moon Myth lived in Canterlot, when she was a foal, but now lives in Manehatten.

Occupation: Freelance writer and artist. She is also in training to be an archaeologist.

Motivation: Moon Myth dreams of fame in many ways. In some daydreams, her talent as an author or artist is discovered. In one, she is the first pony to discover evidence that the mythological human does or did exist. What gets her through every day, however, is the opportunity to spend time with friends and socialize.

Likes: Moon Myth likes spending time with friends, stargazing, and stories. She loves to read, and enjoys telling her own stories through pictures and words.

Dislikes: Moon Myth doesn't like loud or conflicting noise and early mornings.

Character Summary: When Moon Myth was a foal, she spent lots of time outdoors, playing with her neighborhood friends. At school, everypony teased her: she was a teacher's pet with a messy mane, and couldn't do very much magic. But at home, the neighborhood ponies looked to her as a source of fun, because when they played, she always had the best scenarios for them to act out. When the other ponies in the neighborhood started to get their cutie marks, however, they felt they were getting too old for foalish pretending. That was at about the same time as her father, who worked with the trains, was relocated and their family had to move to Manehatten.

Moon thought this would be a perfect opportunity to start over, since she didn't feel very liked back in Canterlot. For the most part, life was better for her. Her magic improved. She discovered many new stories, including the Daring Do books. The mystical temples and rare treasures Daring Do found inspired her to persue a career in archaeology. Of course not everything went perfectly. Her older brother moved back to Canterlot and started a family of his own. She was the last in her class to get a cutie mark. Her acceptance of her own oddities made her friends few. But Moon believes she is a better pony for the move, even if she gets nostalgic sometimes.

Moon's father conducts the night train to and from a nearby suburb. Her mother works at the library and volunteers to help the community. They see Moon Myth fairly regularly, as she lives nearby, and care about her very much. None of them see her brother and family very often, as he lives pretty far away, but they all love them, too.

Moon has a pet cat named Rumble. Rumble is white with brown and black patches, and anypony aside from Moon Myth has to earn her trust.

Moon Myth has trouble finishing the projects she starts. When she does, she is often impatient to have them completed, and doesn't do a very good job, which explains a tendency for her short stories to end abruptly, and her artwork, although very good, definitely not the best. She frequently stays up late to gaze at the moon and stars, which inspires some of her best work, but also leaves her short of sleep and cranky in the mornings. She loves spending time with friends, but is a bit awkward and sometimes makes embarrassing mistakes.

On days when Moon is well rested, she is decently hyper. She is also usually in a good mood, and loves life. Even when tired, she is a bit quirky, thinking of things in unusual and difficult to follow ways, and easily distracted. She isn't in low spirits very often, but when she is depressed she isolates herself and doesn't talk. It's difficult to tell, though, because sometimes when she is perfectly happy, she won't talk for lack of something to say or because everypony else talking makes a lot of noise that she doesn't want to add to.

Usually 48-72 hours. Keep in mind the people who are on staff are so on a volunteer basis (aka they do not get paid, and it is a *lot* of work), and when they assess apps they start from the top. Bumping your thread actually makes it take longer, not out of spite, just out of the way they work from last edited to most recently edited.
