I don't proclaim to be a social sage, but I know when someone new is not welcome. I bet the Texan brony scene is way better than the midwestern one. weesh
I want there to be a group here, but I am not willing to push something else out of my life to make it happen.
Rosewind
Eh? I don't follow, Weeshy. What do you have to push out? It's a social group, you'd be adding.Unless I'm missing something (which I probably am).
weesh
My life is busy. If I add something, something gets pushed out. Now if it was just a weekly meeting, it might be worthwhile. But if I also had to organize it, prep for it, advertise for it, etc, then It would push out more than I am comfortable loosing.
RashallFiremane
I live near Corpus Christi Texas and I am currently looking for bronies down here to start a group up. Wont be able to make it to Austin though.

A lot of the meetup stuff I see around here is "We're going to the bowling alley at such and such time, then going to dinner," a lot of which varies by region. Since Alaska is pretty spread out, well, I dunno. This is a brave new uncharted territory for bronyfolk, but I'm sure they're out there! Will you be the pathfinder or the side-liner? weesh
Unless you live in El Paso, you are probably within six hours of Austin, and that isn't a bad drive...if you have a friend who will go with you. I've done Lubbock to Austin and back in a weekend for an event.
