Character Summary: Sleuth, a filly whose mind is as cloudy as all the clouds in Cloudsdale combined, whose mane is as fluffy as ten sheep bundled up next to eachother and whose body is as fragile as glass and light as a feather is a very curious little filly that is rather easy with forgetting the rules. This curiousness leads to her eagerness to find out about every little thing that has yet to be found out before anybody else, yet she isn’t as competitive as other ponies about it. With the attention span of a squirrel and the logic of a foal, she remains positive whenever she gets the chance to fix a problem or solve a mystery – though many of these remain unsolved primarily due to her attempts of retrieving clues. Even then, she has to put down the magnifying glass and her other detective accessories as she still has a job working as a mailmare, however this is mostly only used as a way to trick her parents into leaving her alone to do the sleuthing. By mostly using the time she should be at work she uses to be the detective she always wanted to be, she is often very late.

To her dismay, her wings are not very broad and are rather fluffy. Her feathers often get loose, and twirls after her as she tries to stay in the air. As her wings are weak, she has trouble flying and most of the time merely flutters around in the air before perching onto the ground and then fluttering back up. This usually gives the appearance that she's hopping up and down.

Her biggest friend of all time, the one friend she could never depart from will always be her teddy bear, Hatson. This plush she carries everywhere, and always supports her during her investigations. She has made this bear her assistant, and usually acts as if he was real and thus talks to him as if he could react and talk back to her. This bond between these two gets to the point where Sleuth would fight with the power of twelve manticores to get him back. So beware!

History: Sleuth grew up in a big mansion, with a close relation with her parents. Her parents were wealthy, and really tried to give Sleuth everything her heart desired. Yet all she wanted was a plush bear! This resulted in her getting Hatson, who currently is her best friend ever and her personal assistant.

As her parents were rich, they often moved from city to city, dragging Sleuth along with her which resulted in her having to leave any friends she had made behind. Granted, this usually weren't alot of ponies, but this resulted in her bonding with her teddy even more, even trying to have full discussion with it when she was alone. Due to her curiosity she often searches through the houses she stays in and often finds valuables, which are stored into a small chest that she carries in the bag she carries around as a mailmare.

How this little filly got her cutie mark? That is a case left unsolved by the curious Sleuth. Everybody who tells her what it means says something different. Even so, due to that she did get the job as a mailmare, as they thought she was good with letters. Boy, were they wrong! Even though how she got it included a odd letter..

It was the day when she had to move out of the mansion she had to leave behind before she finally settled in Manehattan. Sleuth, being curious as she always has been was searching the attic of the house in a desperate try to find anything that might seem shiny or cute or just anything to her taste.

The dusty, dark attic was filled with many empty boxes, chests and cases which - as the word 'empty' implies - held nothing that interested her. However, once her so-called assistant Hatson told her to push away a few boxes - which took a few tries, as she was not at all strong, so she was very delighted that they all had no content - she found a beautiful chest. The chest, covered with a layer of dust, looked both very old and very interesting. As interesting it was, the filly couldn't stand the idea of waiting until it was revealed what was in it, and thus started lifting up the lid. However, instead of anything she had thought it was, all that was in the chest was a envelope. The filly huffed and puffed in protest, still wishing it was something more shiny, yet did pick up the envelope. She studied it as much as she could, before she heard the yell of her mother. ''Sleuth, dear, we have to go!''

Slightly panicking, the filly places the envelope back into the chest and closes it, running downstairs as she gets on the chariot with her parents, onward to her new home for the coming years, when on the chariot she noticed she had gotten a odd cutie mark on her flank. She agreed it looked rather nice, yet since it is a mystery how and why she got it, she is bound to solve the mystery of her cutie mark some day, but before that day the little filly stays behind her idea of it being the mark of a true detective, making her even more motivated to becoming one!

Clothing: She wears her trademark baker-boy hat, which is a faded shade of purple, red striped knee socks, the stripes being brightly pink together with a red scarf, Being a mailmare, she also carries around a shoulder bag – since that’d make no sense for a pony, she usually just carries it around her neck – which has a few buttons put on it by herself trying to add a bit of ‘flair’ to delivering mail.

In the bag she keeps the mail she usually forgets to deliver, a magnifying glass to find even the most miniscule clues, Hatson is often found in the bag aswell, unless she places him on her own hat to provide a nice view whilst travelling. A chest, which includes any of the valuables she had salvaged from the houses she used to live in. The only other things in her bag are some snacks, which she usually feasts on whenever she takes a break from all the mystery solving.
