~~~Wind Dancer~~~
Wind dancer blushed a bit at Golden Bit's comment as the music finally started for the last song, It sounded familiar. She heard the notes a bit more as she finally placed it. This was the full non-acoustic version of the song that she had danced to when she visited his skyhouse! The melody and instruments all sounded amazing and then he started singing. When he did, she then also understood why he chose fireflies for her to use for some of her dance routines. She didn't deny that they would like amazing, but she was just more worried about hurting them with a strong gust. It would break her giant heart if she hurt or let along killed even a single lightning bug on accident and it would ruin whatever show she was doing. She shook her head of the thoughts and watched as all of the little toys, gadgets and gizmos started to come alive with the different hits of the music. They all started roaming around the stage and kind of started doing their own thing, but it was all in combination with the music. It was quite the display.
And then there was sound. The entire room filled with sound as the speakers in the back activated and Wind knew instantly where they were in the music. This is where she had made the downburst on the lake. The words themselves kinda further described the dream state that he had mentioned to her and mentioned in the performance a bit. It hinted back to the fact that everything in the dream was just that, not everything is as it seems. Then as the instrumental part of the song began to soften towards the end of the song all of the little things around the stage began to stop and shut off until soon it was just his voice and the keyboard which soon followed into the silence.
The restaurant burst into applause and several ponies began to stand for their ovation to him, including Wind Dancer, though whether she was the first to stand or not she wasn't sure. She wasn't focused on the rest of the crowd. She was focused on the pony that just finished singing for them and looked on as she applauded with a beaming smile. When he finally stepped over from the stage and sat with her, he asked her how he did, with the applause still lingers Wind smiled. "You did absolutely amazing, and judging by the reactions of everypony else here, they think so as well. You definitely got Golden Bit's attention, and that's a very, very good thing," she said with a smile before noticing that the Icy blue mare was making her way over. "Apparently more than just hers to," she said as she heard Ice introduce herself and remained silent but giddy as Ice spoke.
~~~Golden Bit~~~

Golden Bit remained by Wind Dancer through most of the last song and she was intrigued by the design of it. They way eveyrthing took the stage and came to life with the music was quite teh stage effect. He certainly had some skill in that department, which was a good thing if he was going to get anywhere outside of a small restaruant like this, but he definitly had potential, and the fact that he can control the stage effects with his keyboard like that meant that there was pretty much unlimited potential for a skill set like that with the kind of music that he was doing. It was generally softer than a lot of the new stuff that was coming out anymore, but that was a good thing. Sometimes ponies needed something that was soft, melodic and meaningful rather than something that's fast and shredding.

She was a bit surprised when the large wave of sound washed over them in the middle of the song. It was something completely different than what he had done up to this point. It wasn't any heavier than anything else that he had done, but the volume was unexpected and it rocked the tables a little bit. At this point, all the toys and everything were full of life and moving on their own accord. Everything had come together for the full climax of the piece and she could see why the drop was the way it was now. Slowly though, different toys began to shut them out and the song faded as the performer stood up and the applause was immediate. Windy had indeed found a good one. She hoped, that for both their sakes that he didn't do anything to hurt her. As much as that mare had been through already, the last thing she needed was a broken heart.

She smiled as he went over and sat next to Windy and said that he would be taking Q&A from his table. She would give him a chance to calm down a bit before moving over there to talk with the performer. Plus, her sights caught the attention of one of her other usual performers in the crowd tonight and she wanted to get his opinion. She'd already had her mind mostly made up from all the reactions already but still, fellow performers were often their own worst critics. She made her way over to the magician's table. "Hey there Terry, quite the show tonight eh? Wind Dancer picked out a good one for us," she said with a smile.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
When all the gadgets and gizmos started coming alive on the stage, it instantly started mesmerizing Ice Storm. The way that everything was being controlled by the keyboard lead her to wonder what else could be done with that. Was there a limit to what could be done with that? She didn't really have any idea how any of it worked or the logistics behind it. What she did know though, was that the music was good and the effects with all the little things moving around on the stage was cool! She simply leaned against Raven, munching lightly on her second sandwich as the music played. She couldn't help but giggle a bits from the lyrics of the song as she leaned up to whisper into Raven's ear. "You're my firefly," she said with a small giggle. It was true though! Well, mostly true. She couldn't fly unless they were on her airship, but she was definitely fire!
Then the loud sudden blast of music woke her up as she felt her table rumble. She wasn't asleep per-say and she definitely wasn't bored, more she was happy to just take in the music and the large burst was completely unexpected. She wasn't going to say that it didn't fit with the music either. Truth be told, she was honestly more focused on the mare next to her for the most part of the last song, content to lean against her while listening.
When the song finished, and all the gadgets shut down, the applause started and Icy joined in with the standing ovation. He had definitely earned it. She smiled as the performer thanked all of them, and then... basically confirmed her suspicions by going over and sitting at Windy's table! They were dating! They had to be! The rumor that had been floating around Entertainment weekly apparently had some truth to it! She gave Raven a soft kiss and a smile. "I'll be right back," she said said with a smile before heading over to the table where Wind and this... she looked at the brochure again, Sky Sailing was sitting.
When she got over there, she nodded politely to Windy before speaking. "Excuse me, Sky Sailing was it?" Ice Storm asked to confirm. It was more a formality and a manner or professionalism than anything else. "My name is Ice Storm. Owner of the Fire and Ice Hotel and Casino next door. I was wondering if you might be looking into picking up some more shows?" she added. She had plenty of venues for him to choose from for his performances and could put something together for him pretty quickly. Of course, if he was dating Windy, She knew that it would be an every once and a while thing. She had little doubt that Golden Bit and Wind Dancer would like to keep him performing here at the Mareage, but she could hope that he could do a few shows in her casino as well.
Terry had thought this new guy was just another musician. A good one, granted, but nothing aside from talent to make him stand out. That was, of course, until the last song started and the toys and such started moving around.
After the song finished, he stood as well to give Sky a standing ovation. Terry smiled as he watched the pegasus sit down with Wind Dancer, it was always nice to see creatures in love like that. He hoped he could find himself something like that someday...
The arrival of another pony shook him out of his thoughts, and he looked over to see none other than Golden Bit herself. He liked her, she was kind and generous, and always seemed to look good on top of it. He smiled a bit as his mind almost started wandering again towards daydreams of them together, but he was quickly brought back as she began speaking to him.
“Hi, Golden. Yeah, that was quite the show alright. I mostly thought he’d be just another face in the crowd of musical talent, but he has the skill to make a name for himself. Especially if he can pull off more stuff like that last song, that’ll definitely be leaving an impression on the crowd.” He nodded, looking over to watch Sky briefly. “Seems like Wind found quite the stallion there.”
Sky blushed at the compliment, flush with the adrenaline of public performance that was only just now beginning to ebb.   Though his performance was considerably more "chill" than many musicians on this circuit, it was still just as heart pounding to him as it would be to any performer.  Of course, a certain pegasus mare might also account for his heart's accelerated activity... "Thanks, Windy.  But, um, who is Golden Bit?  I thought she was just the cafe manager."  His ignorance revealed, Sky was honestly more concerned with the stacked sourdough sandwhich headed his way, which he tore into after a quick word of thanks to the waiter.
It took a few large bites before the beast of hunger was quelled within him, and he felt able to take questions from the audience.  The first to approach was an icy blue unicorn, who introduced herself under a startlingly appropriate name.  "Pleased to meet you, Ice Storm!  And honestly, I would definitely love to do more shows, though I'll be a bit busy in the coming weeks putting together my new LP.  If you don't mind me doing a bit of album promotion, though, I can definitely make time!"  After a second or two, another thought came to him.  "Oh, and I do actually have a studio and label of my own; if any of your acts want to cut a record, I can help out with that, too."
Raven listened to the song, snuggled up next to Icy. It was a nice popy song, very different from his other songs, but then, each song was different. This one spoke of impossibilities and had that air of a half-remembered dream, where things could morph and change. The magicked toys were a nice touch as well, acting as a great prop to go with the song, and she smiled. When Icy spoke about being her firefly, she leaned in further and gave a quick kiss, and couldn't help the slight yawn that came as Icy left their table, most likely to go see about getting The performer to play at her casino. She'd been all over the city, exploring it by hoof today as she was still waiting on her her things from Canterlot to arrive, and It was so much more exerscise than she'd ever had in Canterlot. She couldn't wait to get home, and snuggle in with Icy...
~~~Wind Dancer~~~

Wind Dancer couldn't help but giggle a bit when she heard Sky ask about who Golden Bit was. She wasn't too entirely surprised that he didn't recognize the name. After all, he was very new to the scene of Las Pegasus so knowing some of the bigger names in town right off the bat is something that most ponies don't know. Shoot, there's many ponies that have been here for most of their lives so far that didn't know who all the big names were. After all, Las Pegasus was a feast or famine city. Not every pony that came into the city with hopes and dreams, and building a resort prosper. Some just don't know how to manage it. Which is okay in of itself, but the problem lies with them believing that they can handle anything that comes their way despite not really knowing what they were doing. Golden though, was one of the few staple ponies in Las Pegasus though that everypony that calls Las Pegasus home should know about. If for no other reason than she's one of the best ponies that live here!

She gmiled a bit more when he mentioned thinking that she was the manager of the cafe or something like that. "Well, she definitely is something like that," she said happily leaning into his ear to whisper. "She's the one that put me back into the air," she pulled back with a smile. Sky had seen her memoir, which means he'd seen the article about the owner that helped get her wing fixed properly. From that point she was sure it would click for him and he'd realize just the amount of weight the mare pulled.

Of course all of her thoughts were erased when Ice Storm had made her way to their table. She was quick to introduce herself and she couldn't hold back a small look of surprise when she asked if Sky was looking to pick up more performances. She was quite giddy to hear this and she clapped her hooves. She was also happy to hear him accept, though he'd be busy with an album in the coming weeks, which Ice Storm was perfectly fine with. She also told him to swing by her casino at some point and they could work out the finer details there.

~~~Golden Bit~~~
Golden Bit listened to what Terry had to say about the performance. He said starting out, he didn't really think it was anything overly special. It was good, but there were a lot of good musical artists in this city. He kinda hit the nail on the head with that, but at the same point, she felt the ones that were good deserved to get better promotion. Terry seemed to echo that when he said that if he can continue to captivate audiences like he did with the last song, then he would definitely be able to make a name for himself. Though a part of her inside of her had a feeling, especially with the last comment that Terry made, Sky Sailing would be making quite a name for himself anyways. The paparazzi were always attracted to those with fame and fortune, and the fact that there were already rumors floating around that Wind Dancer possibly had a romantic interest, there would be little place for said love interest to hide from them. She just hoped that they would leave them alone when things started to get a bit more serious between them if it hadn't gotten there already.
"A stout, honest assessment as always. I think he will be a very good addition here, and if I'm honest, but the time everything is done with... I see Windy and this Sky Sailing performing a lot together. After all, It was Wind Dancer that managed to pull the strings for him to be able to perform here tonight. I didn't know who this pony was until she mentioned him to me, nor what kind of music that he performed. But with Wind Dancer speaking highly of him, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give him a chance. After all, giving ponies a chance is kind of what I do," she smiled as she watched the owner from next door approach and then return to her table. "I will be right back myself. It's only fair that I let our performers know what I thought of the act," she smiled before nodding to Terry and walking over to the table where Wind Dancer and Sky Sailing were sitting. "I must say, that was quite the performance. I'm glad that Windy talked me into scheduling it," she said smiling towards the pair of love birds.
~~~Ice Storm~~~

Ice Storm smiled to Sky Sailing as he said that he was looking for some more performances. When he added that it would likely be a few weeks before he could commit to anything though because he would be putting a few things together from this performance, likely an album of sorts, she nodded. He confirmed that when he mentioned possibly working in a bit of album promotion. "Absolutely, and that time frame works out perfectly actually. Most of the places around here that I know of usually want a couple weeks to put some marketing out for their performances anyway. At least the good venues that want their attractions and performers to succeed. Otherwise they either risk nopony knowing about the performance or double booking a performance against a larger, more well known and popular group and not really giving them a chance," Ice smiled.

"If your interested, swing by my casino within the next couple days. I'm almost always around somewhere and my staff have ways of getting a hold of me if I'm out. I'll also be able to set up something for some album promotions at that time as well, provided you have enough information on the album that I can start running promos for it. That said, I must return to my significant other before she starts getting lonely, and I wish you both the best of evenings as well," she smiled before winking at Wind Dancer and then made her way back towards Raven and their table.

She sat back down once she got back there and then leaned over and gave Raven a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Sorry, wanted to express my gratitude for the performance tonight as well as extend an invitation for more performances. He was really good, and definitely a pony that I wouldn't mind performing in some of the concert halls that I have," she said with a smile to Raven. "So, what do you wanna do next tonight?"

  • 2 weeks later...

Sky was glad to hear that Icy was willing to accommodate his recording schedule, which was really all he had to ask, at the moment.  "Nice to know I won't be double-booked against Windy, I couldn't compete with that.  Besides, I want to see her shows myself!"  He laughed softly, agreeing to meet Icy later.  "Hope I made the night good for you two, you were here for the whole set, I could see you.  Goodnight!"

Soon after, another casino owner approached.  Once Wind Dancer let him in on just how Golden Bit had helped her, the pieces did begin to fall into place for Sky Sailing.  But it was indicative of his current state of mind that he was most occupied with what Golden did than with what it implied about her position.  He beamed at her approach, quickly swallowing down another bite of his sandwich before getting up to shake her hoof.  "It's good to meet you at last.  I was just told I have you to thank for being able to see Wind Dancer, well, dance.  And probably for ever meeting her in the first place, so... thank you, very much, from the bottom of my heart."  Said heart was currently being worn on his sleeve, but between the high of the performance, and the... well, call it what it was, the love he was feeling from and for Wind Dancer, it could hardly be any other way!

Raven smiled as she watched Icy talk to the performer, knowing that he'd probably end up at Icy's casino sometime soon, reminding her of how much Icy tried to help others. When she came back, her guesses were proven correct, and she smiled. "I don't blame you, he was quite nice. As for tonight... I'm actually quite tired, my training's been going good, but I've still gotta work up my stamina a bit... Why don't we go cuddle and call it an early night?" She said, before thinking. "We could order some wine and spend some time in a hot tub somewhere, I suppose, if you don't want to curl up in bed..." She offered, a slight smirk on her face as she guessed which one Icy would go for...
