    That moment when you try to clean out your ears using a cotton swab, and then suddenly go deaf. :/

      ^agreed. It's better to use the scoop/hook thing to clean out your ears, but those could be even more dangerous if not used properly.

      I literally just found all of this out today. I'm going to try and visit a doctor's office to try and clear my ears out.

      I have used swabs all my life, the first few times was when my mother cleaned them for me, which it didn't go well, which was also clear that it can be dangerous, but done properly, it's a good tool.
