  1. Edited to say that her parents were indeed pegasi.
  2. Smiling as Willow drank up and got up her strength, she had to watch on with a worried expression plastered over her features as the unicorn spoke about those little balls of flame and those big, floppy ears fell back slightly. Going with this strange stallion after those little brutish things? That was crazy! But she did have to admire the mare's confidence, even after getting her leg wounded by the little things. Watching the conversation as one might watch a tennis match, her head looking to one, then the other as the words played off each other and finally she took a soft breath and smiled towards the dark pelted unicorn. "Well, miss Wisp." The mule said with a soft smile. "If y'all are gonna go into tha' there hornet's nest, y'can coun' on me to be comin' wit' ya." That didn't just happen. Those words did NOT just pass her lips. Was she insane? Was she feverish? She MUST be. That's the only explanation. But the skittish thoughts were soon shaken from her head as she continued to keep her smile for Willow's sake. "Wouldn' wan' th' same thing to happen again."
  3. Her parents are pegasi, should've noted that actually hold on. >
  4. Smiling towards her ponies she offered a gentle nod towards Ginger Mint as she commented the night, granted, it was nothing compared to her sister's first night. Oh, the beauty of Luna's nights were the stuff of legend and prose, she felt so inferior when it came trying to duplicate it. However, she didn't allow such memories to dampen her enthusiasm for the evening. "I'm afraid my sister is not in charge of the night just as yet, but when she is, trust me, the nights will be far more spectacular." She was about to comment again when the griffin approached, another one? Blinking softly at the Griffin, she simply remained quiet as she was more spoken at than spoken too, aknowledging the Silver Beak clan with a simple nod and a smile. The lady knew what she was talking about. But talk of work was so boring. Never the less, she dipped her head in a gentle and respectful bow aswell. "I hope you have a good time at the Gala, Lady Lola." She commented before the griffin vanished completely from her view and soon paid her attention back to the ponies at hand. The princess would have to find some means of escape so that she might actually enjoy herself tonight. But she wanted to greet everyone respectfully. Oh now this one was too cute. Smiling brightly at the new pony's shaky and nervous attitude, she watched him duck to a bow and asked him on the weather. Giving a soft, thoughtful sound, she nodded and reached out a soft hoof to pat the colt's shoulder. "Indeed, it is, but I scarcely think you can enjoy it on the ground like that, young man." The princess offered him a small smile. "Your first time at the Gala?"
  5. Starlight joined with Sunrise when she'd moved into the school house again, curious to see Grim's presentation and why it had to be shown particularly in the dark. How interesting! But then, Grim was a very interesting pony, he wished he could be as tall as the earth colt one day instead of how tiny he was now. It'd really help him getting up the stairs of school and such. Once sat inside of the school house and making sure that the brown filly was also inside and not cloud staring, the little foal's eyes widened at the eerie glow Grim's cousin produced. That was awesome! It reminded him of his daddy's job with the night lights! And the song was good too! When the song was over, he clopped his hooves on the desk in a rounding applaud. "That was COOL!" The brown filly on the other hand, didn't really understand most of the story Grim told at the beggining, or the glow Willow did, most of her focus was on the rythm of the song at hand and where she stood near her desk ready to go out again. She started bouncing on her hooves. Tail swishing and head bobbing to the rythm of the song the nice lady sang and liked her little dance that she'd invented on the spot. She'd have to remember that rythm later. Once the presentation was done, Wormy just smiled brightly in thanks. Trying more so to remember the song, more than trying to seem thankful. Champ had refused to move. He wasn't going to move to watch some stupid presentation from that equally stupid dork that'd foiled his plans the other day. No. He'd just stay out here and rest his leg on the sun warmed grass, it was soft and gave much more comfort than that hard school floor. Shifting his legs slightly, he watched and listened to the inside of the school house, the cheers and singing. Hrmph. Who wanted that? Any want he may have had for company was dampened as he stared off through the grass and continued to rest himself.
  6. [ Pony Related Character ] Name: Twinkle Sex: Female Age: Filly (Older Teen) Species: Pegasi Pelt Color: Powder Violet blue - wings are darker violet blue. Mane/Tail Color & Style: Midnight blue with a yellow stripe and incredible scruffy. Eye Color: Vibrant Pink Cutie Mark: A sleepy pale yellow crescent moon with a star hung from the tip. Physique: Petite Residence: Whitetail Woods Occupation: Night Weather / Creature Care Pony Motivation: To make the night enjoyable for little critters! Likes: Button mushrooms, dewy moss, fireflies, hedgehogs, cricketsongs, night parties, sleepy willow tree's, classical music, dark places and moonlit meadows. Dislikes: Neon lights, bright lights, loud music, obnoxious ponies, spicy food and 'warm' colors. Character Summary: So it starts off with her dad. Her dad was a normal pegasus, little low on luck and wanted to sweep off his sweetheart, the love of his life, the apple of his eye, another pegasi whom he'd grown up admiring from afar for a very, very long time, with a banging proposal gift. But didn't have the money. He reads a Canterlot article about the testing of certain magic on pegasi and if it could be used for non winged ponies, so they could research the skies without the need for expensive balloons or flying contraptions. So he goes in to be tested. He gets turned into all sorts of things, he gets polka-dotted, parroted, turned into frogs, jackalopes, infact for a whole day, he's turned into a candy-fruit bat, but at the end, he's given his bits and he sweeps his love off her feet They get married, all the sha-bang and soon enough they have a little foal, with one minor complication - she's born with batwings. They go to the doctor, turns out, dad had a bit of magic residue left in him and it passes onto his kid becoming a genetic change in the make up that makes pegasi wings. Now cut a few years, first day of school with perscription sunglasses. Despite a slight hiccup, she manages to garter a good set of cloudyard chums that share her interests in the night. They take up the study of animals and of weather patterns that most young pony's do, but she finds a flaw. If pony's are so busy taking care of things during the day time, who are the ponies that take care of the night time wind channels, rain storms and the animals? It's in this revelation and ambition to do so, that she obtains her cutie mark. A wild set of teen years consisting of night time partying, midnight hoofy-sack and star gazing, Twinkle obtains a job at the newly opened 'Night Division' of the Weather Ponies, taking care of cloud formations and owl flight times. Aswell as bat flight formations. Feeling truly at home in the night. And soon enough moved out of her Cloudsdale home to start up a tree top home in Whitetail, so she may study and keep an eye on her little night time friends. (THIS CHARACTER CAN BE CHANGED TO A REGULAR WINGED PEGASI. This is just me being ridiculous and treading-....Well...THRASHING...the water! APPOLOGIES TO PEOPLE TO HEMMORAGE READING THIS. IT WAS NOT MY INTENTION.)
  7. Okay. So her gown had fit from the last fiasco at the Gala, she'd be focusing on the Wonderbolts soon enough, but for now she wanted to test out if this ol' bunch of fabric had its wear and tear still there. Before she'd entered the Gala, she'd tested out how much she could fly with this gown on, thanks to Rarity's knowledge on fashion an' all that hay, she could get some reasonable mileage to atleast keep herself entertained. So atleast that wouldn't be a complication. Straightening her laurels with a slightly irritated expression, it wasn't long till she heard the familiar southern drawl and bookish tone of her two closest friends. Maybe this wouldn't be so boring! The multicolored pony didn't hold out that much hope since the pair only had their certain likes that...didn't really entertain Rainbow's certain love affairs at the current, like flight and such. Never the less, she loved her friends and as soon as she heard the pair, the proud pony flapped her way over till she spotted them....and AJ's treats. Oh this would be good. Grinning to herself, that mischevious streak soon perked itself as she shook her rear slightly, eye on the prize and hooves dug into the ground. And sure enough. The filly soon took off in a blaze, but ofcourse, everything seemed to synch in perfect unison at this speed for her. Even with the trail of color gliding off from behind her as she zoomed over the cart of goodies, she could still pick up one of the cupcakes and land with a flair on the otherside. And cupcake sat perfectly on one hoof. "Evening, girls."
  8. Positively beaming with herself, she couldn't help but smile impishly at the expression Bramble had on his face and raised a hoof to gently lift his jaw so his mouth didn't hang open, taking it away when he finally blurted out what he was going to ask her earlier. Dance? Briefly she chewed on her bottom lip... Dance.. It's not like she couldn't dance, she'd practised on her dad's hooves when she was an itty bitty foal, but now...? Glancing at the other dancing ponies, she arched a brow at it all...didn't look that hard. Why not? Turning back to the unicorn, she offered a small, partially confident smile that split her muzzle. "Sure...looks fun!" If she doesn't end up breaking his hoof...
  9. An interesting character, you've put a lot of thought into it whilst giving him an equal ammount of natural personality flaws and an extensive background. A beautifully fleshed out character that I hope to see soon in Roleplay. Approved.
  10. This is ADORABLE. I hope to see it finished. ;3;
  11. Smiling at the purple unicorn, the filly couldn't help but feel slightly calmer talking with someone she knew, heh...and she thought she'd be embarassed! Settling into the conversation, she heard him about to offer...something...before a figure had sidled up beside her and the room began to spin. Wait. What? Blinking her eyes behind the mask, she felt herself being lead more than partaking in this one sided dance as she looked at the stallion. Who in Equestria was this? Why was he dancing with her? So many questions went through her mind and when they were answered she didn't feel any more confident about her situation. To his question she could only give out a slightly questioning - "W-Wha? I-...Wha!?" All this far too much to take in for the moment. It was only on one well placed spin that she glanced back at Bramble and saw that confused and slightly dejected look on his face, a small feeling of misplaced guilt pinching at her throat before it was quickly replaced by a stronger and much more feverant feeling. Once her hooves stuck to the ground, she hastily put her weight and strength into each one, causing them to drag slightly and causing her to come to a complete stop. Unaware and uncaring of how the forward momentum would affect the elegant moving stallion as she glared at him through her mask. "Look, buddy." She started, with no hint of lady-like etiquette in her voice, but the down to earth tone most people knew her for. "I don't really give two horseapple's about your mare problems, but I was talkin' to somebody, unless you didn't see." Continuing to glare for a moment she raised a hoof to poke at the stallion' chest. "Try to atleast be somewhat considerate next time...or atleast use your eyes." That said, the filly turned on her hooves and made a casual beeline back for Bramble Rose, a slightly proud smile on her face. She never thought she'd be able to do THAT tonight!
  12. Watching as Skye made his way off, she smiled almost enviously at the peryton as he wandered off. How she wished she could get away and enjoy more of the party, but she supposed it was her duty to greet her followers...they did make the journey here after all and as the next set of ponies approached, she brought her best smile to the surface. This green haired mare's dress looked fantastic, she offered a small smile and bowed her head gently in return to the other. "A pleasure, my dear, and may I say, you have a lovely dress." Soon enough another well dressed lady came and the radiant old princess had to blink slightly at the gift, raising both boxes up with her magic and hearing the explanation of what exactly they were. Poison joke tea? Oh my. That would be interesting. Interesting indeed. Perhaps she could serve that to that boring old dullard at council, he'd need a good ribbing now and then. "Well thank you very much! My sister and I will enjoy these very much." Shifting both boxes to a unicorn who stood at the side, she offered a small smile to the tall, lean stallion who caught the pair of gifts in his own magic. "Place those in I and Princess Luna's sleeping quarter's...with a note of caution on the blue one's." She'd hate to see Luna getting a nasty surprise. Now the next guest...well...he caught her offguard. The taking of the hoof didn't catch her offguard, but the pecks upon her cheek did and she blinked ever so slightly at the zebra before her smile returned and a soft, amused chirp of a laugh escaped her. Fully aware of the card in her ethereal hair, but not drawing attention to it yet. "Well! I hadn't expected such an energetic greeting, but thank you, young stallion! I hope you enjoy yourself at the Gala."
  13. Blinking at poor Luna's reaction to her touch, her smile turned appologetic and once she reached the good doctor...as stumbled and as he was and watching over the brown pony, her fears of the fact she may have brought in some completely buck-wild and downright crazy pony into her home made her...very...very nervous. But it never came to the surface. Oh no. She was very good and keeping her emotions level. It was to make sure that when everything turned to manure around her, she was atleast calm in the hopes that it atleast instilled some calm into the ponies around her aswell...but right now...she was deeply worried. As the doctor took off again, she glanced at Luna, making sure she was alright and followed after the brown male at a steady pace. The guards following suit. Like loyal dogs kept to their diligent vigil. Maybe it was the dank air in the depths of this place, or the fact it was just so dark and disorientating...but something felt...very off. The princess' footing began to falter and she paused at the end of one hallway. This felt so...familiar...in a horrible, horrible way. 'M'lady? One of the guard inquired. A small pause and she shook her head. "Something tells me we're not in for a pleasent surprise down here...let's go make sure our guest doesn't get himself eaten." Came her reply. "Luna, I want you to stick close to me."
  14. She couldn't believe it! She was nearly home free! She just had to pass a few ponies and then she'd be on the other side of this crowded ballroom, she'd be in like Flyn--- MudBug? ... That didn't happen. She ASSURED herself that hadn't happened, despite the fact she'd frozen in her hoofsteps like a deer caught in headlight and she forced herself to steady her breathing. Maybe it was just her imagination, her paranoia and fear, yeah, that was it...it was just someone calling out to someone else and her mind had mistaken it as- I...is that you!? You look *amazing*! Okay, that deffinately sounded close enough to be aimed at her. Gulping she turned and smiled a little nervously before noticing exactly who it was and getting a little bit of a shock herself. Was that...Bramble? She'd only met with Bramble one or twice, he asked for very special soil for his garden so the flowers could grow properly...but she'd never really seen him done up. That momentary shock did make her calm down...for a moment before she spluttered and cleared her throat nervously. "B-Bramble! It's great to see you, I never thought I'd see anypony from home here..." First one, then another. Ugh. She missed her mudpit. "You look great yourself, really dashing."
  15. A smirk lit the mare's face behind her mask and the small tweezers flew through the air and desposited the bit of hard candy into the bin nearby as the bubbly filly spurred her sugary self back to full bullet yet again. As her utensils went about cleaning themselves and the mask untied itself from her face, she smiled towards Pinkie and shook her head in a gentle and reassuring manner. "Now, now, you don't have to give up hard candy, miss Pie, just try to suck more than crunch it." The mare said with a wink and a playful demeanor as she looked over her tools. Everything in order. Everything clean. Lovely. Humming as everything was put back in its place, she turned back to the pink earth pony and a small jar full of multicolored baubles on sticks witch floated by the minty unicorn until the top was delicately unscrewed and one as pink as the patient flew over the the sugar filled filly. "Here, you can try practicing on one of these sugar free lollipops."
  16. The rainbow haired mare nodded encouragingly towards Tobias before watching him get up on his hooves, seeing the wobble and sympathising ever so slightly despite the fact she didn't voice such sympathies just yet. He was good. Okay not the best, she could totally smoke him, but if he had his wing intact he'd deffinately be a good challenge and that's partially why she was helping him out. She'd have hated that to happen to her. "Well, y'got your hooves off'a the ground, an' that's good enough for me!" Flapping her wings slightly, she moved a good few feet away as she looked over the stallion. "Okay, with your wing the way it is, we'll have to see about some exercises to see about how far it'll stretch and then we can work around it."
  17. Outside on the LAWN!? Outside on the lawn! That's great! I wonder if there are any swimming birds and flying fish... Smiling brightly at Cheerilee he'd almost forgotten the question earlier and as he trotted over to meet with Sunshine, the little foal nearly skidded as he turned and blinked curiously in memory. A soft 'oh' escaping his muzzle as he shifted a hoof out towards the lanky brown filly who was currently staring up at the sky. A small, faintly impish expression coming across his face as he moved to settle himself down to his new neighbour and companion, he liked Sunshine. She was very nice. And was super amazing with a ball! "That's Wormsicle, ma'am, she doesn't come to school often 'cause of her being a touch forgetful and nervous." Gesturing yet again to the long legged filly who only now realised that the class was being moved. Poor Wormy. Starlight shook his head with a soft smile touching his muzzle, noticing the new foals aswell and finding it brightening up his features. He then glanced to his neighbour. "This is gonna be so fun!" He chirped happily. Was she mentioned? She was. Her ears swivelled and she plinked her big eyes at Cheerilee before a big, bright smile split open her muzzle, tongue still stuck out before she slurped it in to talk to the teacher. Atleast she assumed it was the teacher. Starlight acted like she was the teacher. So did the other ponies... ... Must be the teacher. Yep. "Wormsicle, yeah! I got a note from my mama, Wormy isn't good at rememberin' places here yet. She gonna pick me up early." It was fairly articulated, but she spoke whilst glancing all over the place. The lawn. The ponies. Very briefly making eye contact with Cheerilee, but then it was changed yet again. Her saddlebags rustling as she moved to sit down whilst moving to pick herself up a chunk of carrot cake which she munched and chomped happily. Why outside? He'd just gotten INSIDE. Why did he have to go OUTSIDE? Groaning he slid off his desk and slid himself from his desk, hooves clopped against the floor as he steadily moved himself out the door and glanced briefly at the new filly. Had he seen her before? She looked mighty prissy with that tiara. But he didn't give her that much of a second glance as he moved out, briefly looking to the other ponies, especially those he'd met and...uhm...ruined the times of, the other day. But he remained quiet and just tried to sit himself atleast as far as he could away from the others on the lawn. Atleast the grass was soft. Sprawled slightly so he lay with his leg stuck out to rest on its side, he hefted a small sigh and watched the others.
  18. As the cart pulled off with a shudder and then a burst of speed, Bluebelle steadied herself on her hooves before glancing at everypony. They were all alright. Thank heavens. A look of relief flushed over her face as she stood there and steadied her breath before any hyperventilation took place, she didn't need that right now and she was sure none of the others needed the worry of that right now EITHER. Watching them she offered a soft smile before Braeburn came over and whispered in her ear, going a tad pink as she saw the blush on his cheeks before she offered a small and incredibly nervous smile. But soon her attention turned to Willow and watched with a soft wince as the needles were pulled from her thigh, oh how painful it looked. When she was adressed by the brave unicorn on her choice of throwing the water, the mule's ears ducked back and she smiled faintly. "Well Ah jus' couldn' let a frien' get hurt bah those liddle brutes." She replied in a soft tone. When the good doctor mentioned the water barrels, the mule tilted her head and moved to one of them, grasping a small cup that sat at the side by its handle and scooping up the water from inside the wooden barrel. Hearing its innards churn and sympathising greatly. This trip was a bit too bumpy for herself aswell. Moving back she settled the cup near Willow and watched her speak forlornly of her endeavours, creasing her brow and listening on before she looked worriedly to the others for a moment. Gone without a trace? That wasn't good...not at all...But first things first. "But before that, y'gonna have to drink up an' get yer strength back, miss Willow."
  19. Sweet swirling grass knots...maybe this was not the best idea... Entering the ballroom for a chance to escape the majority of pony company in the hopes not to embarass herself and keep her mudlust at a calm level, she was confronted by a wave of ponies instead. Some dancing to a soft melody that wafted over the huge, glamorous room like a hanging mist. Some mingling in their best finery, looking like pictures out of a fairy tale. And genuinely, a lot of social things going on and a lot of tittering toffs going on like they always did. It made the mud pony feel very vulnerable. But, as much as she wanted to run, her mother's words continued to resound within her head. Have fun! Make friends and break some hearts, sweety! Break some hearts? She still had no idea what her mother meant by that, but, it soon calmed her down and she tried to make her way around the dance floor to someplace near the ornate windows where she atleast wouldn't be seen. Though, in this pristine white gown, it was hard not to be seen, every tiny gem that was sewn at the hems glinted and sparkled with every fraction of light that hit them and she continued to try and remain silent...and out of the way. However with no way AROUND the dance floor with that many ponies, she decided to try walking across it...hastily. With a deep breath she daintly stepped on the floor like one might step on glass, getting her footing before she continued on her way. The other side of the room wasn't THAT far away, she just needed to get over there and she'd be home free!
  20. Ignore most of the comic, the dress at the end is what MudBug is wearing.
  21. He was coming over. Oh haystacks he was coming over! Shaking where she half stood, half sat, but kept her rump away from the ground so not to muck up her dress, she watched him and continued to fretfully force her smile to her features as she watched him through her mask. Calm yourself, Muddy, caaaaalm yourself, he was just being nice and he seemed genuinely concerned about your wellbeing. It will be okay... When he came a good hoof's away from her, she took one small step back out of pure nervousness...even more so when he mentioned he was from Ponyville after the little situation with his vest pocket. He wasn't too badly set up himself...but that pocket mishap kind of ruined the whole thing. But he was from PONYVILLE? Oh horseapples, what if he knew her? What if he'd been a CLIENT of hers or something! Her breathing had become frantic yet again and what was supposed to be a reply to his name ended up as a sort of forced breath of air that squeaked on leaving before she cleared her throat. Calm. Caaaaaaaaaalm. You just needed to find a way out of this place, maybe you could hide in the castle or something for an hour or two and then go home! Yeah! That's it! Clearing her throat she smiled feebley to Klondike. "Uhhh...uhhm..." Go on, politely excuse yourself. Say you're meeting a friend or SOMETHING! "I got to...uhm...use the little filly's room! Heh!...Bye!" Not as smooth as she'd have liked but she soon turned on her hooves and made way past a few ponies into the castle, she'd hide in the ballroom or something. Yeah. That's it! A good hour sitting in the ballroom, maybe a drink and then she'd vamoose! [MudBug Out]
  22. Breath. Breath, MudBug. There were other ponies around you, but they barely knew you. It's okay. Relax. And breath. Are you okay miss? Was that adressed to her...? She froze up and gulped, straightening up her mask before she turned her head slightly and blinked at Klondike...it looked like he was adressing her. He must've been adressing her. Darnit. Squeaking under her breath she forced a smile to her maw and turned fully, trying to convey a sense of calm that was far from where she was and also trying to keep her mothers immaculate white, oh heavens why WHITE, dress in order. "Oh yes! I'm completely fine! Nooooo problem here, sir!" Lieing through her teeth she continued to try and force her confidence somewhat, by ignoring looking at the towering castle. Come on now! You'd been in there before with Astron...and now....now was no different! Slowly gulping she looked back to the other and chuckled nervously. "Really! Don't worry yourself!"
  23. Greeting every pony that passed, the Princess had to offer a bright smile towards Knightly as her hoof was taken and she shook it in return with a soft bow of her head and then gently placed it back down upon the floor. Everything looked like it was going smoothly and to be visited by two old companions, the ageless mare felt this would be a very entertaining night to say the least. "Thank you, Sir Knightly, I hope you'll enjoy yourself aswell." And once that was done, she continued her duties as a greeter and a host. Some part of her wished that Luna was here by her side, but the other part knew her younger sister was still recovering from what had happened...and may still be tentative on the subject of meeting their...well...subjects. Brushing away any forlorn look she may have held on her features, she looked over Skye as he approached and soon found herself smiling yet again. The sorrows of the past washed away in a sweeping blow as she dipped her head to the peryton. "Skye, my dear friend, I'm glad to see you could come and with such finery, not trying to to catch some poor lady's heart unawares I hope?" A light teasing, but it was friendly in her mannerisms before she looked out over the Gala. It was overdone, but the ponies of Canterlot liked that and in a way, she did aswell. "Not too overdone for anypony to complain thankfully."
