    Fired up Mass Effect 1 today and the first thing I could think of was... Star Trek. This is like Star Trek. Horrible gunfights, awful action sequences, but lovable characters and genuine awe at the universe and the cultures you encounter. The game may be 6 years old, but the Normandy's first arrival at the Citadel legitimately gave me chills.

      I know what you mean. it had been a long time since I played ME1 but I got it when it became available on PSN. I had forgotten how expansive the 1st game was at times.

      I thoroughly enjoyed Splinter Cell: Conviction, which thus far has been my only foray into the expanded Tom Clancy video game universe. Though I've not played the classic TC games like Rainbow Six or the original Ghost Recon, I love shooters and I like tactical games, so this might be worth a shot. Plus, the opportunity to shoot gamer princess over there in the face a few times would be a priceless perk! :P
