  1. I just saw "Hotel Transylvania". It is full of cliches and is rather predictable. However, that did not stop me from enjoying it. The clever animation, and many fresh monster jokes kept the movie moving, and there was at least one heartwarming moment. Worth renting/streaming. One of only two movies that I can think of with no antagonists. Which is funny given that the characters are based in form off of the antagonists of many horror films.
  2. I am not sure why it would be too late. We are probably 15-20 days from the conclusion.
  3. "Super Dinosaurs" is the worst written graphic novel I have ever seen. It includes outlandish pictures that are very well done, but terrible story and dialog. The word "awesome" should not be so abused.

I probably should not have been surprised that a book containing spaceships and talking dinosaurs wearing powersuits would be shallow.

Cut that out Tales! My capacity for terribly dinosaur stories was exceeded at lunch.

  4. The webcomic Ctrl+Alt+Del did a pony comic and news post that was somewhat unflattering to a smart phone MLP game that I had never heard of.
  5. The show was created to appeal to a target audience without driving everyone else crazy. Do you think they would take a radical departure from that? And the show is full of shoutouts to us. What do they gain by removing such things that go over the heads of little kids? How can a movie company remain successful if it ignores the desires of it's audience? I have no idea where you are going. I also do not see what you gain by creating a movie when you can just make another three-part TV series.
  6. Thanks guys. Note that this includes the writing that I edited out for the game.
  7. From the album: General

My submission to the most recently completed Telephone Pictionary. If you want to play, try the new Pictionary thread. Note that it is possible to join games that are already in progress. This picture represents the 7th through 9th ponies that I have drawn, and already the second time that I have forgotten a cutie mark. All three poses are new to me, it includes the first male pony, and the first original pony. I wish I had chosen a different hairstyle for the carrot pony that I created. Not sure what, but it seems off. Any suggestions?
  8. For Eragon, it seemed clear from the trailer that it should be avoided. I remember wanting to cry, because it should have been amazing. What can a movie do, that the TV show cannot, and would the show look good on a huge screen?
  9. I have room for another big map in my apartment. I already have the world, Alaska, and topographical maps of my favorite river trips, but what should the last one be?

Alaska is very sensitive about his size.

How about something fictional. Like Middle Earth, Tamriel, or... I don't know... Equestria?

A fictional map would only do good if you're a fan of that fictional world.

Map of the U.S.A would make sense. I mean, Alaska is a part of it, right?

  10. Wow, the paper form adds so much character! The proportions are uber cute as well.
  11. If you sort the members list by post count or alphabet, "weesh" is absent. This has been the case for months, but was not always so. It seemed prudent to report such a bug, even if I didn't consider it important, as others might be having similar problems.
  12. Yes, this is a problem. It would be nice to be able to browse fan art with young kids, as this has proved to be an entertaining past time.
  13. Fancypants is the reason to watch that episode. Rarity's behavior is abhorrent, but he shows an open mind, and good judgement, from start to finish.
  14. This thread has kinda slowed down. What are the best sources for great pictures?
  15. any idea who came up with this style?
  16. I like this style...but it isn't replacing the fluttershy with flower background...
  17. I'd like to know the answer to that too ginger. Specifically with regards to all the call backs in this episode.
  18. Welcome! When I google those terms, canterlot comes up fourth. What about this site interested you over the others?
  19. Learning commands and following instructions do not hint much at personality. Plus, she used exactly the same techniques on the bunnies that needed a much softer approach.
  20. The problem was more the "did they really just do that?" moments. At one point I turned to my dad and said: "is it just me or, is this movie kinda silly?" and he agreed. I wouldn't say it was bad as much as I would say it wasn't very good.
  21. I can see that, since the drawings are a bit more exciting...but ending on a line is pretty groovy too, since you can directly compare the first and last line. Maybe, just to switch things up, one of the rounds could strive to start and end with a picture?
  22. It is NICE to start and end on a line...but I am not sure that it is necessary.
