1. Cinnabar Star looked up, one sparkly, red crystal hoof hovering over the bell. She dinged it one more time for good measure, then cleared her throat and set her hoof down. She smiled warmly at the good doctor. "Hiya, doc. I'm Cinnabar Star. I just thought I'd, you know, check in and see what this is all about. It doesn't look like you've got too many ponies here yet." She looked around to confirm this fact once more, then looked back at Heart Healer. "So, now that I'm here, what's next?"
2. Tawny was among the hikers, looking neither terribly bored, terribly afraid, nor terribly excited. He did, however, appear slightly worried. His uncle's friend's cousin who was supposed to be looking after him had gotten lost at some point during the hike, most likely while looking at an interesting anthill formation. This wasn't the first time he had been under this particular pony's care, however, and he had become accustomed to the fact that, while his caretaker did get lost often, he always seemed to be able to find his way back again. So, Tawny stuck to the group because he figured there was little point in getting himself lost looking for his uncle's friend's cousin. He wondered, briefly, if his mother was having any luck trying to see how much lightning it would take to destroy the average Cloudsdale citizen's home and what it would take to completely lightning-proof their house. His wonderings came screeching to a halt when the group stumbled upon Princess Celestia. He'd really only just arrived in Marelia, so he hadn't heard about the princess. Or maybe he had heard his uncle's friend's cousin ramble about it but hadn't been paying any attention. Tawny's wings flapped open in surprise; his eyes went wide. He'd never seen the princess in the flesh before. "Ah..." He clamped his mouth shut and started fidgeting. What was the princess doing here? Why wasn't she accompanied by any guards? What were in those mushrooms his uncle's friend's cousin had insisted were perfectly safe to eat? He glanced at the pony that called herself Harvest Moon and flushed a little when she addressed the princess so informally. The nervous colt tugged on Harvest Moon's scarf a little. "Um, ah... ma'am." He cast a glance at Princess Celestia, then averted his eyes. "Um, shouldn't you be calling her Princess Celestia?" He stirred up a little of the ground with his hoof and tried smiling at the princess but ended up looking more like he was having a painful dentist's visit than friendly.
3. Cinnabar Star trotted into the waiting room, pleased that she had just finished her shift as mailmare. She had passed by the office while she had been delivering the mail and wanted to see what it was all about. A pony that helped ponies have a sense of peace and normalcy? It sounded interesting. She had to admit that after everything that happened, she did feel a little out of sorts. And besides that, if nothing else, this pony's name was Heart Healer. Maybe this pony could help her find her true love! Wouldn't that be something? She went up to the receptionist desk and dinged the bell. She blinked at it, then giggled. She pressed the bell again and grinned wide at the dinging sound. She attempted to play a tune on the bell, unaware of the racket she was probably making.
4. Honeydew didn't dress particularly flamboyantly for someone seated at the drama table. Her shirt was a simple, black t-shirt with an alien's head on it, and she wore a pair of blue jean shorts with three questions marks on them. But like many other students, Honeydew didn't trust the cafeteria food. It always bugged her, though, that no matter how much they complained about the cafeteria food, they kept getting it. Was there some kind of addictive chemicals in the cafeteria food? Had the food done something to their minds that made their wills weak and compliant? She wasn't sure, and she wasn't going to find out. That's why she always packed her own lunch. Always. Honestly, she had no idea why people liked to call her nuts; she wasn't the one eating the cafeteria food that clearly had something wrong with it. She chewed on her ham sandwich and listened to other people talk. There was no shortage of drama at the drama table, and it was always great for giving her ideas for articles for the school newspaper. She was only half paying attention to the conversations. Most of it was the usual boring stuff that happened in a high school. "-And then, I found out she was seeing my boyfriend, no, wait, my EX-boyfriend behind my back! That back-stabbing cow!" One of the drama students said, near to tears. Honeydew suddenly sat up straight and swallowed the bit of sandwich she was chewing on hard. She got out a notepad and pen and started writing furiously. Werecow kidnaps student's boyfriend! It was time to conduct an investigation. She jabbed a finger none too gently into the person sitting next to her. "Hey, you! Switch places with me!" She needed to get closer to this drama girl and find out more about the back-stabbing cow in question. ... Soarin sat in his biology class, focusing intensely on the clock in the wall. Sweat dripped down his brow as the seconds ticked by. He had taken notes for most of the class but had stopped a few minutes ago to watch the clock, figuring he had enough notes to go on. Come on, he thought. Come on... Could the clock go any slower?! No, probably not. If it went any slower, the clock would probably go BACKWARDS in time. He bit his bottom lip and pleaded for the clock to go faster. Just a few seconds more! Come on! At long last, the lunch bell rang. Soarin grabbed his backpack and shot out of his chair. "YES!" He was out the door before anyone else and sprinted down the hall towards the cafeteria. A teacher noticed him running through the hall and yelled at him. "Sorry!" He shouted back behind his shoulder and he slowed down to a brisk power walk. He could smell so many delicious things from inside the cafeteria already. He noticed there was already a long line of students waiting for lunch. The hungry jock made a small, squeaky noise of despair at the sight of it. He hurriedly took his place in line, looking almost as jittery as someone waiting in a long line to go to the bathroom. Oh man, I hope they don't run out of dessert! It had been a dark day for Soarin in the cafeteria the last time that had happened.
5. One day, Honeydew received an additional letter among her usual mail. Normally, this was an interesting development that warranted her attention, but she had noticed, off-hoof, that it was from her parents. She had deadlines, travel arrangements, and a few interesting rumors in Manehattan to investigate. Reading and responding to a letter from her parents could wait. A few days later, Honeydew returned to her apartment home in Manehattan to discover a distressed mailpony buried underneath a mountain of letters. They were all for her, and they were all from her parents. Unable to ignore a mountain of letters, Honeydew opened one. It read as follows: Dearest Honeydew, It's been one and a half months since you've written us. We're also still disappointed that you spent Hearth's Warming at our beloved farm searching for abominable snowponies. You could've at least invited your uncle to look with you. But that's neither here nor there. The point is we miss you so very, very much. We worry about you being in such a horribly big city all by yourself all the time. Won't you please visit? We want to know all about how you're doing and if you've met any special somepony yet. Surely, it wouldn't hurt to take a little time out of your busy city life to visit the ponies that raised you, cared for you, and nurtured you? Love always, Mommy and Daddy. P.S. Your uncle Cantaloupe says hi. The rest of the letters by her parents read exactly the same. Honeydew suspected something was up immediately. Usually, when her parents just wanted her to visit, they demanded it, down to specifying a date and time. This... this was a request and a guilt trip. That meant her parents didn't just want her to visit. They wanted something. Perhaps they were trying to hook her up with another random stallion they had only just met? It was anypony's guess. The other possibility was that her parents had been replaced by Changelings. This possibility was immediately dismissed upon closely inspecting the stationery and writing. So, there was only one way to find out what her parents wanted. She had to visit. She kept telling herself it was because she was curious and not because she actually felt guilty about anything. Oh no. She didn't feel guilty. At all. Really. When she arrived at the farm in the "Middle of Nowhere, Equestria," she was greeted with quick pecks on both sides of her cheeks, a small explanation, instructions for running her family's melon farm, and packed bags. And then, dust. Honeydew had only been able to utter a loud, indignant, "I don't think so!" before her parents had taken off. Of course, Honeydew could've just done the same thing and leave the farm in her uncle's hooves. She liked and trusted her uncle plenty enough... He could run the farm, and everything would work out great. It didn't take long before her conscience (which was definitely not a guilty one, not at all, really truly) reminded her that her uncle couldn't look after a plastic plant without something disastrous happening to it, let alone an entire farm. But she didn't think SHE could run the farm, either. She hadn't worked on the farm since she was a filly, and it was all such boring, boring work. As much as she hated to admit it, she needed help. Every city and town in the Strand and the neighboring areas would soon find itself flooded in "HELP WANTED" notices that offered bits and board as a reward. Advertisements for unheard-of and non-existent melon products popped up everywhere. Propaganda posters touting the benefits of melons, melon farming, "UNCLE CANTALOUPE WANTS YOU TO FIGHT FOR YOUR MELON RIGHTS" left no building uncovered. The Daily Turnip, unaware that one of its journalists was behind all of this, wrote an article about a potential invasion from sentient melon monsters. And Honeydew waited and hoped and tried to remember what basic farming and melon-raising techniques were.
6. Well, not just country ponies... But I think Honeydew would prefer somepony (someone) with farming experience. LOL... That's one of the reasons she needs help.
7. Cinnabar Star frowned a little. Working part-time didn't exactly rake in the bits, and she was trying to save up, so she could move out of her parents' house. She gave the dress a longing look. "Is there anyway you could maybe put it on hold for me? I don't have the bits right now. But maybe in a few weeks, I can get it. I think this dress would look absolutely darling on her. And she's never complained about my gifts before." She made a thoughtful look at this, then looked at Ruby hopefully. "I'd really, really like to get it for her."
8. Hmmm... Is that 5% of 5,000 something total members, 5% of members who signed up for RPing, or 5% of our active roleplaying population? Or some other 5%?
9. You're sure? Because I recall Fluttershy calling the school Canterlot High... and Fluttershy does mention that there are other schools (asking Twilight if she transferred from another school)... But if that IS a non-issue for you, then I'm perfectly happy with bringing Honeydew in. Name: Honeydew (Application: http://www.canterlot.com/topic/5834-honeydew-final/ ) Group: Hard to say. My guess is on the business side of things, she's with the nerds (what with probably doing nerdy things like school yearbook and school newspaper). But I can't see them tolerating her loudness and pushiness very well, so, she probably tends towards hanging out with the dramas. So... Nerds and Dramas. (Maybe oddball clique, too). Also... Name: Soarin Group: Jocks
10. I thought the name of the school was Canterlot High... And I just realized, with some horror, that I don't really have a character that fits and also lives in Canterlot! Gugh, gugh.... Honeydew would be good, but she lives in Manehattan, even if she does travel a lot. Moon Walker is too old (what with having a kid and all)... And I'm not sure really if I want to play Tawny in a high school. Cinnabar Star would also work, but she lives in the Crystal Empire, so that's a no go, too... Must make a profile for a Canterlot-living OC.... GAH.
11. I'm up for it. Maybe Tawny will be there with a relative. Or Honeydew... She seems to be all over the place for whatever reason. *LOL* I think she probably spends almost all of her wages on traveling in order to check out rumors and conspiracy theories. *LOL*

16. In the middle of the trail, Honeydew was hard at work, doing something that would no doubt get her kicked out of the park should the appropriate authorities catch her. She was digging up that part of the trail. Nearby, there were also several very deep holes that she had dug. The honey-coloured mare's hooves were a complete mess. There was dirt smudges on her face, and her hair was slightly disheveled. She stiffened when she heard somepony approaching. Cautiously, she peeked out of the hole. She spotted the deer approaching and looked relieved upon noticing that she was just an average park-goer and not someone who had the authority to kick her out of the park. She was so close to discovering the long lost treasure of Old Picker-Upper, famed treasure hunter and world champion of hide-and-seek from a long, long time ago. Legend had it that before he died, he buried all the treasure he had ever collected in one location. Most believed it was located somewhere in the Gallopocus Islands, but Honeydew had reason to believe that there were a few other plausible locations. She was so close! She could feel it in her bones! Her journalist instincts were tingling. The treasure was here. She was sure of it! She turned away from the deer in a dismissive manner to resume digging, but then caught a whiff of the food she was carrying. This gave her pause. She peeked out of the hole again, sniffing at the air. Her stomach grumbled. All the digging she was doing was working up quite the appetite. Pink-coloured eyes locked onto the deer's in an intense, hungering stare. "Hello," she greeted, scrambling to climb out of the hole. The gaze moved to the picnic basket the deer had. "You know, that looks like a really big basket." Honeydew licked her lips. "Really big. Really heavy. A doe like you couldn't possibly eat all of what's in there by herself. Luckily for you, you just so happened to run across me. I would be more than happy to lend my assistance." Fooooooooooooood...
17. Cinnabar Star was still admiring the dress when Ruby told her she wasn't expecting anything, and then introduced herself. She blinked, then looked at the other mare in the shop. That mare wasn't even a crystal pony! Uh-oh. She returned to the package and looked at the name. It was for a Miss Sapphire Shoes. "Oopsie. I think I went to the wrong place." She paused a second, then took her satchel off and dumped a pile of mail onto the floor. "I think I do have a letter for you, though." She sifted through the pile of mail before finding Ruby's name. "Aha! Here we are!" She offered the letter to Ruby, then set to work dumping the mail back into her satchel. "I'll be right back. I gotta make a quick run to get this package to Miss Sapphire Shoes!" She managed to get the package strapped back to her back and rushed out the door. Five minutes later, she returned, sweat noticeably dripping down her brow. She was also panting. "Huff, huff... what a work-out. Huff... I was almost late." The satchels on her back looked less full, as well. She sat down on the floor and held a hoof up. "I'm Cinnabar Star, by the way. Give me a moment. Huff...." When she had recovered a little, she gestured over to the filly dress. "How much is it?"
18. Which browser would you recommend? I'm using Google Chrome. I tried IE, but that didn't work, either. I also completely cleared my browsing history and emptied the cache. Tried it, still ain't working. I'm not entering the full URL, and I'm not entering anything other than the names.
19. So, in the Edit Your Profile section, there's a place where you can post your character log. Well, I would like to do this. But I have managed to consistently fail each time I try. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I know it says that you can't post the whole link, so I did post it partially the way it demonstrates, but I still can't get it to save. I get this red box at the top where it says... "Location: The data you entered exceeds maximum allowed." I can't seem to post my character names either.
20. Cinnabar Star darted through the streets of the Crystal Empire with her package strapped tightly to her back. She was doing a remarkable job not bowling over anypony this morning in her eagerness to deliver the mail. Her routes had not yet become routine to her yet, and there were occasions she got a little turned around, but her deliveries were never late, regardless. She passed by the tailor shop, did a sharp u-turn, and came to a screeching halt. Not even double-checking the package to make sure she had the right address, she barreled through the door. She beamed at the two ponies inside. "SPECIAL DELIVERY!" She unstrapped the package on her back and placed it on the floor. "Miss Sapphire Shoes, I think. Or was it Miss Sapphire Styles?" The young crystal mare's face took on a puzzled look for a few seconds before she gave a shrug. "Anyway, ta-ta!" She started to rush outside but once again came to a screeching halt, as the MOST adorable dress caught her eye. Her amethyst-coloured eyes went wide in awe and admiration. She trotted over to the dress and gave a squeal. "Ooo, look at those ribbons! And the lace." The dress was far too small for a mare, however, and seemed to be more suited for a filly than anypony else. "I bet my little sissy-missy would look so cute in this."
21. Conspiracies abound in the fashion world... Leave it up to Honeydew to get the big scoop!
22. Just curious... is it too late to sign-up? I saw that you said you were willing to take one more roaster. And Moon Walker (Fire Walker's older brother) is part of the REA. And this sort of thing is right up his alley. I never thought about giving him a rank... *LOL* My guess is he probably hasn't been terribly ambitious, especially since having a small family has probably slowed him down some. And I have trouble picturing him in a major leadership position. Maybe to balance it out, Moon Walker can be just your everyman-type soldier/guard. Or if he must be higher-ranked than that... Corporal. *lol*
23. Tawny shifted from hoof to hoof and looked everywhere except directly at Ginger Kick. He opened his mouth to respond to her question. Then, he closed it. He looked behind his shoulder again, then up at the ceiling, and then just somewhere off to the left of the pegasus barista. He opened his mouth again and spoke. "No, I'm not lost." His shoulders tensed, and the feathers in his wings ruffled. "I'd like to order a double shot vanilla expresso, please, ma'am." He was looking at the floor now, apparently determined not to make eye contact.
