  1. "Huh?" Fluttershy glanced up hearing Inkwell's voice. She didn't know anyone was around. "Oh, Inkwell... you got to come too? That's nice. And such a wonderful outfit," she smiled. "Yes, Rarity made this for me the last time we came to the gala." And that's when she looked off a bit embarrassed. "You heard me talking to myself... but... well the last time we were here, things didn't go the way we all hoped they would. I wanted to make friends with all the bird and animals here in the gardens, but they were all afraid of me. I've never had such trouble with animals... so... well... I got a bit out of hand and ended up causing a scene." Looking back to Inkwell with a sheepish smile she added, "Which is why I hope they will not be mad at me and give me a chance this time. But I'm not going to try and force them... they can come see me if they want." Her attention was drawn to Bramble as he walked on the scene and she shook her head. "Oh, hello. No you're not interrupting us. We were just talking."
  2. I put Fluttershy out in the garden, but I could throw here somewhere else as well. :3
  3. Even with the small light that Skye was able to produce for them, the entry to the old building seemed dark. Fluttershy just glanced around from the open door, looking for a sign that anypony was there. It was so strange that the door had seemingly opened on it's own. But ghosts weren't really. Twilight said so, and her friend seemed to know these things. "I don't see anyp..." she cut herself off as something caught her eye. Slowly coming toward them from the darkness behind the stairway was a weird blue glow. "Eep!" and as soon as she saw it, she was hiding behind Skye. Something was heading right for the two, and the closer it got the brighter the blue glow was. Eventually a pair of glowing red eyes were in view as well. However it wasn't a monster or some sort of spook, they belonged to a Unicorn with a black pelt, she was just well camouflaged in the darkness. "Oh, I thought I heard somepony... looks like that hinge on the door is still loose." she yawned as she came into view of her two visitors. "I'm not use to anypony coming by..." she blinked slowly and looked up to the old chandelier in the entry way. With the help of her magic it flickered to life lighting the area much better. "Oh," Wisp blinked as finally took note of who was at her door. "Aren't you that Peryton I met at the farm? Who's your friend there?" Fluttershy finally uncovered her eyes and peered around Skye to get a look at the pony speaking to them. She didn't look all that scary now that there was light. It made the glow go away. "Um... I'm... Fluttershy. I live in the cottage outside of town a little bit... I... I've seen you go into the Everfree at night." She glanced to Skye. "So you know Skye?" Willow Wisp nodded lightly. "Well kind of, more like just met him. It's nice to have visitors though. Nopony has come by since I moved in. Well... other than the mail pony but they run by so fast I don't really count it. I'm Willow Wisp, please, come inside."
  4. Willow Wisp was absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't even see the other coming her way. So when Fizzy spoke to her she looked up a bit confused and then glanced around to make sure that it was in fact her being spoken to. 'Oh, yeah I didn't come with anyone. In fact I kind of got a ticket last minute and by surprise.' She shook her head lightly at that. Really she was more than shocked to find on in her mailbox. She even went to the post office to make sure it hadn't been delivered by mistake. 'I've never actually been to the gala before. These kinds of events aren't really my thing. But if a friend of mine found out I got a ticket and didn't show, well, I'd never hear the end of it.' Glancing out to the dance floor again she just sighed. Not knowing what to do with oneself seemed like a common trend for ponies who came alone. Holding out her right front hoof she did her best to be friendly. 'I'm Willow Wisp, who are you?'
  5. Oh how wonderful it was. So many flowers and animals... and this time Fluttershy planned to enjoy them. The events of the last gala played through her mind as she stepped into the gardens. She'd been so driven to meet all the animal that she ended up making a scene. So this time she would just take it in stride and maybe if she was lucky one of the birds or critters would come join her. 'Oh my...such lovely roses,' she walked over to a bush in full bloom. The red flowers had such a sweet smell, she just closed her eyes and took in the scent as it traveled along with the light breeze. 'The flowers are just so perfect in this garden.' The Pegasus was happy to just trot slowly along the path, stopping now and then to look at the flora. There were even some flowers she was sure she'd never seen or heard of before. How did she miss them in her last visit? Oh, that's right, she'd been on a bit of rampage. Her cheeks flushed as she stopped to watch a bird fly over head. What a scene she had made at the prior gala. 'Ah, I hope they do not hold a grudge...' she mused as she looked back to a patch of lilies. 'At least the plants cannot be mad at me... they have no minds.'
  6. The ballroom, it was the most lit place in the whole palace... or more so in the areas open for the gala. Willow Wisp had been so worried about starling others with her glow that she even arrived as early as she could so she could scope out the brighter spots. As long as she stayed inside where it was well lit she was sure she would be safe. Honestly she wasn't even sure what she was doing at the Grand Galloping Gala. Fancy parties were never her thing, but if she turned down what could have been a once in a life time offer and her friend back home found out, well, he'd never let her live it down. So she resolved to go, even getting a dress made for the occasion. It even fit her ghostly appeal, so over all she was happy with it. However she still felt out of place as she stood against the back wall of the ballroom. Other ponies were dancing, some were talking and a few even seemed to be showing off their outfits. But there she stood, in a corner like some sort of outcast. If only she could find somepony she knew, then she wouldn't have felt so small in the large palace. Part of her really wanted to go exploring, after all a palace had to have its mysteries. Yet she knew she couldn't just wander wherever she wanted. She always thought about going outside, but that meant being in the dark of night. Even with lanterns and other lighting around, she feared it wouldn't be enough to keep away her glow. 'What am I even doing here?' Wisp said to herself. 'At least I showed up... maybe I should go home before I make a scene by mistake. Not like I have a date or what not to leave behind.'
  7. It always made her happy when she could help others. And Inkwell's mood seemed to brighten just by the suggestion of what he could give to Rarity and Sweetie Belle as a peace offering. She just knew her friend wouldn't hold a grudge and as soon as he apologized and things were worked out, she was sure they could become friends as well. 'Oh... well...' As he asked for her opinion on rather to make it a surprise or get the input of the two sisters, she had to think. 'I'm sure they would love a surprise but I'm sure they would love to watch as well. I think either way would make them happy.' She paused for a moment in thought and then suddenly got an idea, 'Oh, but doing it with them there might be really good!' she exclaimed before hushing her voice again a little embarrassed at the small outburst. 'I... I mean because Sweetie Belle likes artistic things like her sister's work. And since she's still looking for her special talents... maybe seeing another artist at work would inspire her to look at what she can do a little closer.'
  8. At first she was going to give him some praise since he seemed excited that he was managing to move along on his own. But when he slipped Fluttershy bit her lower lip, ready to chase after a run away scooter if need be. But luckily he rolled to a stop and appeared to be just fine. She let out a sigh and trotted to meet up with Starlight, a smile still on her face. 'Are you alright?' Even if the foal didn't look hurt, she wanted to make sure. Though with a quick glance over she was sure he was just embarrassed about ending up on his back more than anything else. 'You were doing very well. Even if you slipped a little, you didn't fall off completely. That's better than some do their first time with a scooter.' Fluttershy herself had never used a scooter, but she'd seen plenty of foals playing with them. And of course that meant seeing her fair share of spills. At least Starlight didn't have a scraped flank or bruise. She'd have felt horrible then.
  9. 'Ten a day?' Willow Wisp blinked a bit surprised at that. Then again she was thinking in one sitting. She suppose as she thought a bit more on it, in the course of one day, ten wasn't that many. However she counted the amount she ate during a day. And as it was, she didn't really eat apples too often before moving to Ponyville. In the town she grew up there wasn't an apple farm, so apples came either from other towns or a small harvest on the local farms grew on the side. 'Well it's a good thing you heal up quickly... even if it's not due to apples. This place looks pretty big. It would be bad to get behind in working.' Even with the breeze she still felt warm. It was hard to think, let alone come up with anything to say. She hoped her silence wasn't off putting. After all she showed up at the farm, to then just be quiet seemed a bit rude. At least Big Macintosh seemed like the quiet type himself. Maybe he liked other ponies who didn't just rattle on all the time. 'Juice?' Oh yeah he was offering her a drink. She had dazed a little and almost completely spaced on that. 'Yeah, juice or cider, I don't mind. Whatever is easiest for you to get.' Normally she would have asked if he need help, but she felt dizzy, like her head was too heavy to hold up. So as the reached the house she just took a seat like he'd mentioned.
  10. Wisp hardly even made a sound as she was moved into the cart, letting nothing more than a sigh escape her. She couldn't help it, she just felt rather down. First of all she felt foolish that she got hurt. And on top of it, now she was dead weight. It was her fault they were out there in the first place; well at least for Braeburn and Bluebelle. Still, all and all, she was one depressed pony. 'Huh?' She had somewhat zoned out as she listened to the whirring of the cart. The others may have been wondering what allowed it to move on it's own, but Willow Wisp hadn't even taken notice. She just knew they were moving and away from the danger at that. So when Braeburn gave his warning to his impending aid, she didn't even really hear what he said. With each needle he pulled out she clenched her eyes shut tight, doing her best to hold back small squeals of discomfort. It stung and it felt like each one was coming out agonizingly slow. For a moment she glanced back at him, but that only left her cheeks red. He was using his teeth. It really was the only option for an Earth Pony given the situation, but those needles were in her flank. What pony wouldn't feel embarrassed about such? Especially considering he was ,well, a he. When the final needle was pulled, Willow Wisp finally drew a deep breath. The strange pony with the cart said something about water which caused her to arch a brow. Water would fix her leg? Well it was like the needles has sucked her dry, perhaps a drink would do the trick. Honestly with what she studied, stranger things had happened. But she'd have to wait until somepony helped her, because the shriveled limb wasn't going to allow her to walk to the water barrels on her own... unless she just tried to drag herself on the floor. 'Thanks,' she looked to Dio first since he had gotten to her before more needles could. 'And Bluebelle...' she turned her attention to the mule. 'Good job with that water... that probably was the only way we were going to get away from those...' Finally she looked to Braeburn, but she was only able to look him in the eyes for a moment. She couldn't help feeling extremely foolish as she spoke to him, as if she'd embarrassed herself even more just because he'd been present. 'And...thank you for pulling those out. Who knows what would have happened if they had stayed in. And well... it was a risk to do it with your teeth... they could have been toxic or something. It's my fault you're even out here...and I did something stupid like running in. Even with my knowledge of this kind of thing, I got myself hurt, and put everypony else in danger.' No matter how she tried to at least look up when she spoke to him, she just couldn't and her eyes stayed focused off to the side. She closed her eyes and drew a soft sigh. 'I've never heard of Spirit Fire acting so aggressively... let alone being able to have unique traits of things they possess. But... those were the starts of Spirit Lanterns... they could be a real threat swarming like that... especially if my guess about the train is right... well it would be big trouble... as dangerous as it sounds, we need to go back and find the source... or the town of Appleloosa could end up missing as well. Without a trace.'
  11. Well we all know what Fluttershy wears... so I'll show off Wisp. Art done by the wonderful Mudbug.

  14. I have Equestria Girls as my ringtone. XD I love the longer version.
  15. Very unhappy with this. I've been in an art slump and was trying to sketch rp inspired scenes... but ponies weren't working out, so I switched to people mode instead. But I gave up half way through adding details. It's mainly Braeburn that I'm struggling with... so I'm not sure if I will take the time to ink this one. Maybe if I move his arm some, and cover his legs with blowing sand it can be somewhat salvageable. But right now, it's making me grumpy. D< It's big click here
  16. I have an LG D-lite. No need for something fancy. Though it annoys me that it's hot pink because they were all out of the blue ones. I use to have a lime green phone and I loved it. I miss it... I wish this one was green. But it is fun to program the different pixel light up images to appear on it when I flip it shut.
  17. As they drew closer to the so called 'haunted house' of Ponyville, it was clear Fluttershy was getting a little nervous. It seemed to loom over them, casting an eerie feel over the whole area around it. Did somepony really live there? Sure she had seen the Unicorn leave from it at night, but what if the stories were true and it was actually a ghost? However Twilight said there was no such things as ghosts, curses and other hocus pocus as that. She paused as they moved through the front yard and up to the door. She glanced around, the plant life was all creepy looking. Thorns, flowers that were black, and gnarled trees. She wondered if any animals were around and if they were just as spooky. 'Well...we are here... we might as well see if she is home,' she glanced to Skye and then back to the door. After a hesitated moment, she reached up with her front right hoof and knocked. For a moment there was no sound as if nopony was going to answer. Just as Fluttershy was about to suggest they try another time the door creaked open and she give a surprised squeal. It seemed the door had opened on its own though, nopony was standing there. 'Oh...do we go inside?' she peeked into the darkness. She could see some furniture and things seemed clean, not dusty. If it was abandon surely there would be dust. 'I wonder who opened the door...'
  18. Fluttershy listened carefully as Inkwell explained his problem. She could see why he was looking for advice, it sounded like there was just a lot of chaos in his attempt to meet Rarity. The best she could do was try to encourage him to give it a second chance. Surely her friend had calmed down now and apologizing would help smooth it all over. 'Hmm, I see why you are worried she might not like you. But it also sounds like the whole thing was just a big mess. I'm sure Sweetie Belle just got startled when you yelled. She is a sensitive little foal. And if there was mud and dirt all over the shop then Rarity was probably already feeling really stressed.' As he mentioned a painting the shy Pegasus nodded. 'Oh I'm sure they would like that a lot. Perhaps you can paint them a picture of um... well... let's see...Rarity likes fashion and gems, and Sweetie Belle likes the things her sister likes. Do you paint ponies? Maybe you could paint them together. I bet they would like that. A gift from one artist to another.'
  19. As it seemed like the task of lunch was getting divided up between everypony, Wisp just waited to see where she was needed. It sounded like she would be joining Applejack in collecting tomatoes and flowers for the sandwiches. She glanced to Skye as he stepped up to help as well. He seemed rather interested in the fact that she knew what he was, but that really was the extent of the knowledge she had on his species. 'Well I just know what you are from a book. I remember seeing a picture when I was younger. My father studied mythology and legends, and I remember he had a book about different creatures that he used for reference.' She smiled. 'But maybe sometime we can talk. It would be nice to have an interview with a Peryton for my guide.' She couldn't help looking over toward Big Macintosh as he spoke up. She could just tell there was some tension brewing between him and his cousin, Braeburn. Then again, it was pretty obvious with the gritted teeth. He must have been getting tired of the teasing. As the piece of grass he was chewing fell she blinked. 'Oh, here...' her horn glowed for a moment as she picked the piece of grass up with it. As an Earth pony he would have had to get a mouthful of dirt to pick it up. At least she could move it, and shake the dust from it with her magic. 'How's that? Better?' Wisp asked as she floated the grass over to him to take.
  20. 'Come on Wisp, I don't want to be late,' Grim Tales whined a little as he called back to his cousin. He knew she wasn't a morning pony, but she promised to come for show and tell. It wasn't his fault that she didn't sleep the night before after they got home from the play. 'See, there's the school bell!' He had packed his saddle bags for the the day, some paper and a quill so he could pretend to write. But tucked away in the other side of his bag with the box that held his spider, as well as an inkwell. He planned to hide Scribe in his desk and have him write while pretending to write with a quill. Maybe the teacher wouldn't notice. 'Wisp, come on,' he chided again as he trotted into the classroom. 'I'm...coming...,' Willow Wisp yawned, mid-speech, 'Grimmy. Just relax.' As she stepped into the classroom as well she nodded to Cheerilee. 'Morning, hope you don't mind, but Grimmy insisted I come as part of his Show and Tell.' The Unicorn mare moved over to sit next to her younger cousin as he set up his desk. She spotted him sliding the box with Scribe inside, into the desk. She just shook her head lightly before yawning again. 'All ready for your lesson today?' Grim looked up at her and smiled. 'Yeah, I got my paper and pen. And I got my Show and Tell item in my bag still... and you're here. I'm all set.' 'Are you going to take your bags off then?' She smiled already knowing he wouldn't. 'What, no!' Grim pouted. 'You should know that, Wisp.' 'I know, Grimmy, I know,' she shook her head before ruffling his mane with her right front hoof.
  21. 'Oh, yes I'm Fluttershy. It's nice to meet you Inkwell,' she smiled as she shut the door once he was inside. It was always nice to meet new ponies. 'And yes, Rarity and I are very good friends. We meet at the spa for weekly outings. She likes the pampering a bit more than I do, but it's still nice.' She walked over toward where he'd seated himself and took a seat across from him. Always the good listener, Fluttershy just listened as Inkwell explained why he came looking for her. 'Blew your chance? Oh dear, did you accidentally get something of her's dirty? She can be upset about that but usually it blows over.' She frowned lightly and then shook her head. 'Well I'm sure if you just apologize it'll be okay. Rarity is very nice, just a little um... high strung?'
  22. Wisp honestly felt rather defeated. She didn't even seem to bat an eye when Dio drug her away from the flying possessed cacti. Nor did she really see what Bluebelle did to lure them away. She just knew she had screwed up and now her leg was a mess because of it. She let out a heavy sigh as she rested on Braeburn's back while they made their get away. 'Amazing? Amazingly foolish...' she replied to his praise. Though there was a hint of a blush on her cheeks all the same. A mix of embarrassment and feeling rather stupid. 'I've never known Spirit Fire to gain abilities from objects they possess.' Even injured a part of her was saddened they were running away. She was right in the middle of some unusual occult activity, the kind of thing she dreamed of seeing. It was full of potential for studying and noting for her guidebook. But they were racing away from it. She sighed again as she glanced back to see the fading hues of the haunted cacti behind them. Who knew if she'd ever see such again. And for that matter, who knew if she'd even be able to walk again. From what she could tell her back right leg was pretty much useless now thanks to those moister sucking needles. At that point she didn't even seem to notice the pain, it was pretty much numb. 'All of this would have been great for my research,' Willow commented as she looked forward again, resting her head gently against the stallion helping her make a get away. 'If what happened to that train is really what I think might have... Appleloosa better hope those things never make it into town.'
  23. At least it seemed like she wasn't bothering anyone by coming out to the farm. Last thin she needed to do was wear out her welcome from the one place that sold lemons. That would earn a stern screeching from Morty if she messed that deal up. But from the sounds of it, if it was easier for her to walk there than out to town, it was welcome. 'A cool drink?' Wisp looked up and nodded. Something cool sounded really good at that moment. Perhaps a little apple juice would be a booster for that whole 'apple a day' thing. That way she'd get something then, and then she could eat an apple or two when she got home. 'That actually sounds really good,' she smiled weakly as he beckoned for her to follow, and started after. 'The apple best for me? Whatever keeps the doctor away.' She caught herself letting that slip. She didn't want him to think she was sick. No! She was just tired. That was it. 'Hehe, apple joke. I'm sure you hear that one a lot huh?' Well it wasn't the best cover up, but it was something.
  24. Welcome to the board. Always nice to see new faces. :3
  25. I find the age thing odd. They call Spike a baby dragon. However he acts much like a teenage boy. And when we saw him hatched, he looked much more baby like. Perhaps "baby dragon" is just a term for an young dragon at least through their adolescent teen years.
