  1. Dunder Blust was in Canterlot again. He supposed it wasn't as bad as he thought, at least not in the snobby rich part of the city. In the more common pony areas was where he could find the ponyfolk that were easier to socialize with. But, like all of his visits to other cities, he needed to leave. And the reports of the weather ponies setting up storms between Cloudsdale and Canterlot was bad news for him, leaving early was his decision. Looks like he'd need to take the train, and the next one leaving was going to Fillydelphia, but he supposed to flight from Fillydelphia to Cloudsdale wasn't too bad. He quickly boarded the train, the wave of ponies all boarding was enough to motivate him to take whatever seat he could find and this Unicorn with a seat open looked like he wasn't going to mind. Instinctively, he took the rapier with scabbard off of its strap, as it wouldn't fit with him sitting down. He laid it across his lap as he sat down, putting the end of the scabbard across Swift's lap. "Sorry.." Dunder said to the unicorn, "I hope you don't mind the tip there across your lap." He said, before noticing the sword he was holding. This unicorn wasn't a normal Canterlot noble unicorn. "What's your name? Mine is Dunder Blust." He said with a small smile.
  2. Dunder trotted over to the counter and flew over it before giving her a soft hug. "Of course I'm ready." He said before nuzzling her a little. "Lead the way to the spot." He said, eager to spend some time with his friend. And he was eager to see how the food she made was going to taste, she was excellent at making frozen treats, but he wasn't sure how her regular food was. Well, she was still alive, so he supposed it couldn't be that bad. He followed her out the door and to the park, "So, how have you been? Making lots of friends I hope?" He asked happily, hoping she was liking her new home.
  3. Dunder was surprised by the knocked of the rapier blade, and even more surprised when the earth stallion's skull smashed into his. He staggered back and fell to a hock, using a hoof to help support him as he panted. Getting the wind knocked out of him, the coughing fit, and getting headbutted in such a short amount of time was catching up to him. But, he was not going to standby while he could still fight. He got back on his hooves as the stallion claimed his head was stronger than steel. He got on his hind legs and turned around, leaning away from the earth stallion. He put the sword over his shoulder, still looking at the earth stallion. In one quick move, he turned around, stepped forward and swung the sword lightning fast. To follow up the attack, he got back to his rapier stance and eyed the pony. "Shut up! You seem to never shut up about your Germaney and how you're so great? If you're so great, why can't you beat a pony in the street with poofy pants and a pink shirt?!" He demanded, already starting to get annoyed by the earth stallion. Maybe more words would throw him off, "Maybe a Germane pony is no match for one of Mexicol!" He said mockingly.
  4. Dunder blushed a little as she suggested that he needed more practice dancing. When she suggested another mare, he looked her in the eye, "What are you saying? do you want me to leave you alone?" He asked, not sure what he meant. Then he remembered why he didn't talk to mares that often. "Wait, do you mean you?" He asked, blushing a little "Because, you know, we are already dancing..." He chuckled. "But if you want me to ask you out to the dance formally, here it goes." He stood up straight and cleared his throat, "Miss Candy, would you like to dance with in the square dances?" He asked.
  5. Dunder was flying from Cloudsdale headed straight for Ponyville. He was off of work that day, his restaurant wasn't going to be open today and he wanted to see his friend Ice Storm again. He hadn't seen her as much as he wished after he helped her start the store up. To be honest, he missed her. Dunder flew across the skies of the town, he slowed to make sure he didn't miss Ice's ice treats store. When he spotted it, he lowered his altitude and finally landed in front of the store. He cleared his throat and brushed his mane which was all frizzy from the flight over. He trotted inside of the building, the cold air rushing out and hitting him in the face. As he entered, he smiled at the unicorn mare, "Hey! Ice, how are you doing?" He asked happily, hoping she wasn't busy or sad again. Maybe they could go out tonight, he thought.
  6. Dunder was not expecting the counter punch and failed to block or parry it. He staggered back when he was hit with the powerful hoof. He swore he felt something in his ribs give way for a slight moment, but he didn't know what. The adrenaline pulsing through his veins didn't let him realize that two of his ribs were cracked from the punch.Though, now Dunder felt heavy as breathing became more laborious, but he shrugged it off. As he tried to calm his breathing down, he charged at the earth stallion struggling to get up. He grabbed the earth pony's head and used it to throw him back on the ground, "Stay on the ground--" He was interrupted by an unsuspected cough, "You Germane filth!" He said, this time his voice raspy. He held the rapier, the point aimed right at the earth stallion's face. Right after he had a coughing fit, his joints becoming weak and his rapier grip weak as well as the coughs overwhelmed him.
  7. Dunder didn't know what to do besides just sit there, he didn't even look at any of the other ponies except sneaking peeks at Muggo' to see what he was doing. As expected, Muggo' wasn't doing much either, just sitting there. Though when Blueblood talked to him, he looked up and payed attention, only nodding when he was done. He looked over to Fire, "Just get me whatever..." He leaned in closer and whispered, "Anything cheap and simplest food." He told her. He knew restaurants like this, especially in Canterlot. Selling simpler food for cheap to remind ponies what they weren't eating, even though the 'commoner' food was still too fancy.
  8. Dunder Blust couldn't tell if he was running late or not. The posters he saw that detailed the information of a spelunking adventure near Ponyville weren't very detailed. Anyway, he had woken up late, gotten ready slowly, and was indecisive of winch sword to bring, so he just brought two. He also had to fly slowly because he didn't want to drop anything on any of the unsuspecting citizens of Ponyville. He had only gone spelunking once, and that ended up pretty bad. Just as a precaution, he was ready with all the equipment of his own and anything he needed for himself, not knowing how many supplies the others had brought, it couldn't help to bring a little extra just in case. Matches, flint and steel, daily rations, water, and some bright orange markers was enough for Dunder. He was traveling heavy as it was and he didn't really want to get weighed down too much. When he saw the oak tree that was their rendevous point, he flew a little faster until he finally approached and landed heavily on the ground, his saddlebags and swords clanking a bit. He looked around at the other ponies and didn't recognize any of them, except one. "Hey! It's you!" He said to Cloudchaser, he remembered her from winter wrap-up. "Cloudcahser, if I am not mistaken." He said to her.
  9. Dunder was glad to see the mare was okay, as she helped him by bucking the earth stallion. Unfortunately, he recovered from the buck too quickly for Dunder to disengage and attack again. The chainmail was getting annoying. This pony was lucky the quillons on his rapier were blunted, and the rapier wasn't a very useful warhammer with the lack of any good inertia. Dunder regained his normal grip on the rapier as The earth stallion pulled the mare down onto the floor with the chain. He looked at the earth stallion with a blank expression as the pony challenged him outright. Dunder took his left hoof away from his chest as he grabbed the middle of the rapier blade in his fetlock. He widened his stance to give him better balance. This pony was fighting armored, so Dunder was going to act the same. He approached the pony and got in range for a strike. His eyes locked onto the earth stallion's. He stook a step forward, putting his right hindleg and shoulder in front before speaking, "Taste Mexicolt steel, Germane perro!" He said before taking another step forward, reaching down to scoop up the earth stallion's foreleg with the handle of the rapier. He took another step, putting his right leg behind the earth stallion's left as he lifted the leg off the ground and used it as leverage to get him on his hind legs. The move was lightning fast, but not completed as Dunder pushed the earth stallion onto his back, using the rapier hilt as a means to push and using the placement of his leg as a means to trip.
  10. Dunder would have protested Fire's friends helping him look more Canterlot appropriate, had they been less good looking. For the moment, he enjoyed the feeling of having the attention of so many mares that were pretty good looking too, more than he ever had in his life. When they reached the cafe, Dunder tried to keep his head low and just avoid all the ponies. He didn't want to attract too much attention to himself or their group. The last thing he wanted was to be pinned for embarrassing them all and getting their job on the stakes. Especially since all that money would had been rested in their hooves and he was the one to mess it up for all of them. When they all sat down at the table, he didn't say anything. He had nothing to say to Blueblood other than a "Hello." Greeting with a forced smile. He was surprised to see that Firewalker could speak Prancee. He told her to order him anything as long long as it wasn't alcoholic. He didn't know that she could speak a foreign language so well. He looked over at Muggo' who was sitting next to him, incase he could catch him doing anything interesting to do as well. Or to watch him as an example, for he was older than Dunder and better in these situations.
  11. Dunder grinned and took a few steps back when him and the mare made contact with the stallion's cheek, but that was short lived. the roar the earth stallion let out made Dunder back up a bit more, scared that he was going to lash out in that armor. The rapier wasn't much of a close range weapon especially Dunder's where the blade was not sharpened. After the roar was let out, the stallion was up to something. Tieing up the hammer chain... he thought it looked familiar, but he couldn't remember from where or what it was going to lead to. Dunder regained his guard stance, ready to strike in case anything happened. The stallion was also focused on the mare again, not sure why because Dunder was carrying the deadly weapon. Then it hit him, the Germane warhammer trick where the hammer pony would feign a short distance throw with a tied chain. In reality, the hammer and chain would go a lot further than anticipated. He needed to strike now, before the mare hot hurt by the attack. He switched his grip on the rapier, instead now holding it by the blade. He charged at the stallion right as he let go of the hammer. Dunder didn't worry about the mare...yet. He held up the rapier by his right foreleg, the piece of metal on the side of the cup facing down as he brought the rapier hoof-guard down towards the stallion's head. If he went foreward, it would just give Dunder easier access to his back. If he went foreward, it would either hit his collarbone or his forelegs.
  12. "You were playing? Do all of you Von Starkhuvs fight like fillies, or now are you going to step up?" Dunder asked mockingly. Though, he might have spoken a bit too soon. Dunder saw the hammer spinning on his tail and knew he was going to throw it. This, however made Dunder uneasy. He knew what he was going to do, but he wasn't sure he was going to do it correctly or fast enough. The hammer was spinning worryingly fast as it was and Dunder was not used to fighting missiles that often. But, he could get lucky and read his body language to find out when he will strike. Dunder saw a split second after it happened. The stallion's muscles tensed, his eyes shifted off Dunder. It was the moment. Fortunately for Dunder, he got to a ridiculously deep lunge and bowed his head low right as the hammer flew over his head. Unfortunately for Dunder, he didn't anticipate the chain behind the hammer and it whipped him across the chest and foreleg. He fell back, the wind knocked out of him and the skin under his coat where the chain hit was on fire. He spared no time, now wasn't the time to rest, there was a fight going on! He leapt up and charged at the earth stallion. Not sure what to do, he raised the rapier and aimed a slash to the stallion's face, either the point would make contact and make a cut, or the blade would make contact and act as a metal whip.
  13. The diamond dogs wore a look of heavy uncertainty. The two dogs kept sneaking peeks at each other as if looking to the other for some direction. They didn't know what to do, disobey their long time masters or listen to the ponies who were clamoring for them to rise up. Usually the ponies who came into the mines were to tired or their morale shattered to really do anything to spark rebellion or do anything other than mine and eat and the occasional colt's room. Though, they seemed to listen and let their eyes wander to Midnight and Muggo' as they spoke. The sight of the jewel... it was glorious. Dunder looked at Midnight and nodded at her, even though his face wore a look of tiredness and worry. He looked between her eyes and the gem, hoping she would stash it. They needed some loot, especially after the adventure went this downhill. When Muggo' was just bout done speaking, the griffon stopped from insulting the diamond dogs. Instead he faced Muggo' seething with rage. "You, green pony! I should string you up by your tail until you forget how to use that tongue of yours!" He spat at Muggo. "Or maybe I'll break your good leg, oh wouldn't that be--" He was cut off from the shaft of a spear slamming against the side of his head. Behind him, the diamond dog Muggo' had talked to was wielding the spear and stood there with no sign of remorse. "Thank you, ponies." He said as he looked at all of them, "We should have never listened to the griffons..." He told them. The other one didn't seem so certain, more like he was shocked but wasn't going to do anything against his diamond dog friend or the ponies. The diamond dogs who were outside the doors even walked inside to check out what was going on, for some reason they seemed to understand too. Meanwhile, the griffon was crawling away before rolling onto his back. He closed his eyes and let out a whistle that was ear-piercingly loud especially in the small cave. He let out a cry in a foreign language before one of the diamond dogs face the door, spears at the ready. Almost instantly, the other five griffons were at the doorway to the mines. "What's going on here?!" She asked. She looked furious. "You ponies and dogs better get back to work before we send you all into the pit!"
  14. [sorry...either the forums have been down or I've been away...] Dunder didn't go for the eggs that Muggo' had made, rather he just ate some bread he sliced off a loaf. He'd just eat the leftovers if there were any or just make some new ones himself. "By the way, Nice singing Muggo'. My ears only bled a little bit." He said before taking another bite of the large bread slice. As he listened to the details that Fire Walker had on the mission, he was surprised. An upfront payment of 2,500 bits was huge. And only a 500 bit bonus if they succeeded seemed even better. 3,000 bits a head on an adventure that he had practically already carried out before was something that there was no way Dunder would pass up. Though, the thought of getting all fancy for Blueblood and this stuffy Cafe was something he didn't fancy. "I'll wear the clothes, but no way I'm cutting my mane." He said simply as he looked through the clothes fire had bought.
  15. Dunder didn't even flinch or move at all as the purple stallion swelled up with anger. He stood there, unwavering in his guard even though the adrenaline was pumping furiously through his veins and his heart was thundering in his chest. The earth stallion was still intimidating and now Dunder had only pushed his buttons. Though, the threatening was something that kept Dunder calm. It reminded him that the stallion was still just a pony and just as squishy as Dunder. As the attack came in, he could tell it was a ruse. He attacked one way but his hammer was on the other side. Only if he had a longsword, he could block and drive the blade down onto the pony with a quick counter... But, Dunder had to be light and quick on his hooves for the rapier wouldn't do much blocking in this fight. Dunder stood on his hindlegs still in his normal stance, but he brought his rapier foreleg up and straight into the earth stallion necks's path.
  16. Dunder was thinking about counter attacking, but the mare seemed so calm and ready as the earth stallion attacked. He just stepped on his hind legs around the back, hoping to find some sort of weakspot to the chainmail to no avail. Though, he did step on the tunic that the Germane pony had dropped. He moved his hoof over it to examine the crest that was on it. Von Starkhuf? This could be useful. That's when the mare got his attention before briefly running off. He was thinking about telling her to get him a longsword...but he was too late, now it was just him and this large, angry, purple stallion. Dunder looked up at Martel, "I know, maybe all you Von Starkhufs beat up on mares in your glorious Germaney, but don't be scared now that you have to fight a pony that will fight back." He mocked as he lowered the rapier. If this pony got tired, he'd just get tired and get sloppy. Anyway, Dunder could start flying if things got out of hoof. "And you're such a brave warrior! Fighting an unarmed mare and a stallion with no armor and a pink shirt in the streets. Are all of you Von Starkhufs cowards?" He asked again mockingly.
  17. If Blueblood is paying, Dunder will go to town.
  18. Dunder smiled on the inside. His insults worked, now hed have to fight the pony, not the mare. Dunder was not afraid of this earth pony, he knew that a strong enough lunge could get through the chainmail if needed. Hopefully it wouldn't get to that, the last thing he needed was to end up in Stalliongrad jail. He could even end up in the jail as it was right now! Maybe if he convinced the mare, she could let him off the hook... but that is only if he was going to jail, first. Now he had a duel to fight. Though, now it didn't seem like a duel. He was getting ready to dodge the hammer so he could counter and attack, but it seemed as though the mare had some fight in her to let out. She pushed the hammer away, leaving the stallion open for a counter attack. Dunder lunged, his back leg going straight and his other back leg bending at the knee as he held out the rapier as far as he could, the point of the blade heading right for Martel's foreleg, as Dunder was trying to neutralize him. He shot his other forehoof behind him at about head height as he completed the lunge.
  19. Dunder Blust was not the kind of pony to be mocked or coerced into doing something. this Germane pony's words only got Dunder mildly annoyed. He had gotten enough jokes and insults thrown at him while wearing these clothes in public to care anymore. What really got him annoyed was to see the earth stallion swing the hammer at the mare's face. She was unarmed and a mare. This Germane pony was obviously not one that was going to back off. He backed up to avoid if the swing had followed through and was going to head for him. He pushed himself up onto his hind legs and positioned his hooves as he pushed the cloak aside. He wrapped his right fetlock around the white handle of the rapier, "Curse you and your Germane!" He said over the rasp of the blade against the scabbard. The punch the mare had delivered was just going to get him angry and he'd rather take on the stallion than let her. He ignored the mare's command, no way he was going to leave her unarmed against a large and arrogant Germany pony with a hammer. "En garde! With me, not with the unarmed mare!" He demanded. He probably looked like an idiot or like he'd put up much of a fight with his pink shirt and poofy pants, and he didn't really care.
  20. Dunder Blust couldn't believe he was in Stalliongrad again. It was too dang cold there, especially for a pony like him who enjoyed warm weather and dry climates. He couldn't understand how these other ponies could stand the cold. But, Stalliongrad wasn't too bad of a place. Especially after you've visited so many other Equestiran cities over and over that visiting your least favorite seems like a good idea. Dunder's hooves cracked the snow as he walked upon it. He had managed to get himself lost in this unfamiliar city and found himself in this more slummier of districts. To fight off the cold, he wore his pink shirt, black hat with the red feather in it, and blue, red poofy pants, and a cloak over his body and wings that also acted as a method to conceal his rapier. He trudged along in the snow, his head down and his eyes locked on the snow below him, when suddenly he heard something that made him look up. Something about a pony smashing another pony? He could see a military mare facing a rather large stallion with a warhammer in his tail. Could he actually be threatening a military mare right now in broad daylight? He decided to check it out..maybe even help keep the peace. He trotted over to the ponies, right to the side of both of them, but with the mare to his right so she wouldn't see the rapier scabbard or the hilt sticking out from under the cloak. He spoke after she was done giving the stallion his last warning, "Please, ponies." He said to them both, "Could there be a way to resolve this without violence?" He asked.
  21. Fire and Dunder are, Muggo' is an earth pony.
  22. Dunder finished oiling the swords by the time she was done talking. She exited and he sighed, turning to look at Muggo' "You go cook, just make eggs or something. I'm pretty sure I have some bread for toast and a few eggs left from our journey over here. I need to go oil Fire's daggers, I'd let you do it, but I know how stupid you are." He teased Muggo' before putting down the swords in the tub. He trotted out of the bathroom and retrieved Fire's daggers from her bags. He went back to the tub and began oiling the daggers and giving them a little sharpening. That took long enough to occupy him while she got back, "Hey! Fire. I finished your stuff." He said as he trotted over to her and laid the daggers on the bathroom counter. "What? Your parents are crazy enough to adopt a foal now?" He asked, slightly surprised. "And Muggo' is cooking."
  23. "Yes, we should get moving. I don't know how crowded this place is going to be." He said honestly. He hadn't visited their museum destination, and he wasn't sure how big or how many ponies were there. There were already a lot of ponies coming from all around to see the exhibit. He turned back to face Nahima, but she seemed to have vanished. He glanced around, "Nahima?" He asked, way too quiet for her to hear. He managed to spot the pegasus mare in the crowd of ponies. "Come on." He said to Taiko Fairy as he trotted off through the crowd to get to Nahima. When he reached her, he got next to her, "Hey, what happened?" He asked Nahima.
  24. The griffons scratched their head and looked at each other. The ponies seemed right, even though the ponies shouldn't even be talking, but the ponies seemed to be speaking the truth. Why were they serving the griffons, and why were the griffons treating the dogs so badly? Were they getting treated badly? The ponies were making it seem so. They were exposing the true tyranny of the griffons, if they were being tyrannic. Anyway, the ponies were right, the griffons were weaker and outmatched. Dunder didn't say anything, the other ponies seemed to be handling it pretty well. He only smirked as he smacked the wall with the pickaxe, chipping away at he rock. He thought of a plan, either run out the door or through the caves and try to find a way. His wing suddenly had a stinging pain where it was injured. Just then, one of the griffons busted through the door. This was one of the six that hadn't been speaking. "What are you all doing? I hear too much talking and not enough pickaxe on rock." He said before grabbing the closest pony's pickaxe. and throwing it on the floor. "And what are you two idiots doing?!" He barked as he turned to face the Diamond dogs who were supposed to be standing guard. The diamond dogs didn't say anything. They just stood up straight and looked forward and took the verbal beating like they were used to. Dunder stood there and looked and looked at the other ponies. He wasn't really in a position to do anything to provoke the griffon, he was within striking distance and could easilly be hurt fast.
