    I may be mistaken about the larger cats, but I do remember that dolphins hunt and kill other sea animals for no reason at all, and like male lions, will kill babies so they can mate with the mother.

    Lavender, having been examining a knothole in the wood bar, didn't notice that the barkeep had walked over to her. After he inquired to what she might want, she looked up from the bar, slightly confused for a moment before catching up. "Oh. Um.. I don't know, what would you suggest? I'm not all that picky, and always willing to try local flavors." Now that she was caught up and aware, she took a better look at the barkeep. He was a gray pony, wearing a cool looking hat, and he had an air of friendliness about him. He seemed like nice enough pony.

    Many species in the cat family, especially the domestic household cat, hunt and kill even when not very hungry.

    while there hasnt been any precedence for talking insects, they have been shown to have some intelligence, mostly in MTBPW, and putting your hoof down. They show an ability to understand pony speech, and an ability to interact with them on a more thought required basis (helping fluttershy with her training, participating in a contest). While they seem to need a pony to care for them, that also seems to be the case for every animal not in the everfree forest, no matter its intelligence. sentience != language also, cows dontcha know.

    ((I cast level 4 necrothread!)) Lavender Mint, being new in town, did what any pony would do: wander aimlessly, getting to know the place. She wandered up and down the streets, taking in the sights, getting yelled at by other ponies for being in the way, and generally enjoying herself, when she found herself standing in front of an average looking red brick building. Upon closer inspection, she saw that it was in fact a pub, called the prancing pony. Lavender wandered into the pub, only sort of paying attention to where she was going, and ended up running into a few tables and chairs on her way over to the bar, where a gray bartender and a few other ponies were gathered. After finally making it to the bar, she sat down, a couple seats away from the other ponies, content to wait until they were done with their conversation, she was in no hurry.

    I read somewhere about a species of ants that when they have hostilities between colonies, they would assemble forces within sight of each other, then the ants would start posturing, and generally try to look the toughest, and fights were determined that way. Also, some ant species often take slaves of their defeated enemies.

    The studious ponies we have seen are predominantly unicorns, but that does not mean unicorns tend to be introverts. In fact, it seems like outgoing, friendly behavior is a general across the board thing, with ponies like twilight/fluttershy being unusual. In the first episode, the other ponies we saw at the school were planning a party, and twilight was probably one of the very few to reject it. It seems like athletes, eggheads, and fashionistas are spread pretty evenly throughout the three types. As far as I know, any pony can be an athlete, given the determination, it just trends more within pegasi and earth ponies due to their lifestyles( farming and weather duty are physically demanding). Unicorns probably have a lower rate of athleticism due to their telekinesis. And magic != studious. Example: Snips and Snails.

    The only time its bothered me was during dashies and fluttershy's pet duet, near the end. I dunno why, but the faces just bugged me. Normally I dont even really notice.

    In winter, I get a strange urge to eat ice cream. But thats about it. The rest of my dietary urges are random.

    Nope, no doubles, each pony was different. I already had the mane 6 and a couple others from earlier blind bags, but this box was a nice 24 set. Kinda wish I got a glow in the dark one though.

    *I cast level 9 Ressurection* Swag motherlode! Was at walmart again, near my grammas house, and lo and behold, an UNOPENED box of blind bags. I bought the entire box, was there ever any doubt? I got: I has ponies. P.S. No, the cat does not come with the blind box. That is Queen Lennith Paltro, she was helping me open my ponies.

    @ Diego He yells moustache, because he wanted one to impress rarity with. And he doesnt want to praise other mares in front of rarity, because in his mind, rarity is best pony. And I think twilight's horn only has two rings because her mane is usually covering a portion of her horn, whereas rarity and the G and PT have their mane styled in a fashion that doesnt cover the forehead. Also, I like Trixies voice. One day Trixie will learn her lesson, and come live in ponyville and be twilights student mentor. And maybe more, hint hint.
