Strawberry Orange Strawberry Orange tried to decipher Pinkie's excited rambling, but only managed to catch a few names before the pink pony started bouncing off, twittering out something about following her. Figuring there was nothing to lose, Strawberry dropped down a few feet and fluttered beside her, her wings easily keeping up with the pink thing's fast pace. Keeping an eye on Pinkie out of her peripheral vision, Orange looked around her, memorizing the street they were traveling along. It had a few nice shops, but nothing that would be of relevance to herself or her sister quite yet. Maybe the furniture shop once her sister had gotten herself all organized back at home.

Spike "Ghaa!"Spike yelled, whirling around to stare at the pony that was happily dusting off shelves, along with another pony who was sitting in a corner, peering quietly at him over her book. "Oh! Jeese! I didn't even notice you guys come in! Must have been up too late last night." He said, walking back inside. "You guys can read books and do stuff, just keep your voices down. Twi was up late last night so she needs to catch up on her sleep." He said, picking up a few more books and carrying them over to the main table in the middle of the library, reading the titles so he could put them in their proper spots.

Aqua Drop Noticing a pony come up behind her and start addressing herself and Tempest, Aqua turned around. She had to do a few little back-up turns to get her cart around, which in turn shifted her dress to uncover her tail, pearls adorning it shining in the lamplight. "Oh, hay." She said, bending her neck around to nip at her dress, shifting it back into position again. She faced the gallant-looking stallion that was talking to Tempest and herself. "Wares? I'm not selling any wares." She looked around herself, trying to figure out what gave the pony such an idea. "Oh! My cart! No, this cart is to help me get around! It's hard for me to walk on land without it, seeing as how I have fins, not hooves." She said, smiling kindly as she explained.

Aqua Drop "H-hey! Wait a minute!" Aqua tried to yell out at Granola, but she galloped out of earshot too quickly. She sighed, looking over at Inky. "I do need water, but not desperately. I can stay on land without water for about two hours before I start to get too dry - after that all I'd need is a dunk in a pond, lake, or even someone to spray me down with water or something. As long as my pelt doesn't dry out. If my pelt dries out, it gets really itchy and even starts to crack a bit. Then I wouldn't be able to leave the water until it healed." Aqua thought for a minute, 'sitting' down on her tail for a rest. "It's like.... do your lips ever get too dry and split and hurt? It's like that, but all over my body. it isn't pretty. It happened once, and I learned my lesson the hard way." She looked around, taking in everything. It was all so new and refreshing! She loved the change of pace - normally she's on her own in the sea, because she couldn't stand the nearby Hippocamp city. But this place was bustling, without the stuffy-city feel. Just friendly.

Phew! Added songs to the lists. Haven't prettied up the list, but you can find everything nicely placed and organized. There were quite a few headbangers in the latest songs, all thanks to MyLittlePonyTales! Thanks again, darling! Two of my favorites are and Man, Spike has great taste in music! XD

Yo Bronies! If you were in chat with me earlier this week, I asked around if anypony would be interested if I streamed pony stuff on Livestream this saturday, June 4th! Some ponies were rather interested, so I'm gonna do it! SO here, are the rules/plans ect ect. *First 5 ponies to claim a slot in the chat when I start will get FREE simple sketches, like this: CLICK HERE *After that, I will either be working on personal pony art, or pony commissions. Probably a mix of both. * The whole time I will be streaming I will be asking/open for donations. Remember, the first 5 are FREE so those who get them won't have to pay for them. A dollar or two in good spirits will always make me happy though. *I will have my Itunes on. I may play pony music, I may not. Aqua Drop Aqua hobbled on happily, looking around at all the pretty shops and houses along the street. The houses were slowly getting bigger, which she took to mean she was getting closer to the center of town. Suddenly, a brown pony nervously trotted up to her, apologizing for her rudeness and trying to make some small talk with her... albeit nervously and awkwardly. She even cracked a few lame water jokes, which Aqua laughed lightheartedly at. "Yeah, I guess you could say that I 'like' to swim." She said gesturing to her tail. Aqua only took a few more steps when another pony, a unicorn this time, trotted up to her excitedly, introducing himself while carrying a large sketchbook in front of him... so she could barely see his face. Aqua rubbernecked around the sketchbook until she could see him and what he was drawing, and blushed a little when she saw that he was actually sketching her! "Well thanks! First actual welcome I've gotten since walking into town. Also, if you want to draw me without seeing me be a silly floppy fish, come visit my lake! I just claimed the big lake that's outside of town. I'll be staying here till the weather gets cold, then I'll probably migrate back to sea." She said, sharing a few tidbits about herself.

Aqua Drop "Aqua Drop!" "I'M NOT GETTING MY DRESS WET!!" Aqua yelled out automatically, startled by the sudden call of her name. She whipped her head around to see only Tempest Rime, her best pegasus friend. She sighed heavily, slumping in her cart. "Oh horsefeathers, Tempest. Don't do that!! Scared me to pieces!" She laughed weakly, watching her friend as she nervously fluttered around her, orbiting her in a skittery pace. "Oh, relax Temp. Your dress looks fabulous on you! Suits you perfectly. And thanks, yeah my dress is neat. It's enchanted to keep me nice and damp all through the night. I just can't get it wet or it will dissolve... heh heh... talk about backwards, a Hippocamp not allowed to get wet..." She laughed, rubbing one leg with her other hoof nervously. "Princess Luna? Isn't the that one that had gotten stuffed in the moon for a thousand years? Man, I can only imagine what kind of attitude she had when she got out..." "And yeah, I was SO surprised to get an invitation too. I mean, I didn't even know the Princess knew I EXISTED, let alone lived in Ponyville. I actually laughed in the poor mail deliverer's face when she gave me the letter. I hope she didn't take it personally... I thought she had the wrong address! Her eyes did look kind of weird..."

Aqua Drop "Ooh.... err.... um.... agh...." A lonely little Hippocamp was stuck. Not physically, but mentally. Aqua paced her way around one of the various crystal clear ponds that decorated the Courtyard, the wheels on her cart already wearing a path into the grass. "Should I go in? Nah, I would probably get shooed out. But I have a ticket! I was royally invited! But then again, if I got that sort of reaction from Ponyville, who knows what would happen in THERE with all those snooty snobs..." She debated with herself out loud, trying to convince herself to go inside and stay outside at the same time! She looked over to the calm, cool stillness of the pond longingly every once in a while, wishing she could just jump right in and disappear into the depths... Aqua was NOT in her element. All gussied up, she looked breathtaking in her special Gala dress. That fancy dressmaker in town made her outfit specifically for her - the fabric was enchanted to be perpetually damp to keep her skin moist so she could stay on land for the whole Gala, and was fashioned into simple gown that flowed elegantly over her tail. Strings of natural pearls wrapped around her front hooves, tail and hair, which was braided and tied up in gentle clumps. But her dress, even if it was enchanted, couldn't get wet or else it would disintegrate in the water... Her Carriage was even decorated too! Pearls interwoven between the wheel spokes, and the seat was covered in a light blue cloth that matched her dress. But the dressmaker had sneakily made sure that Aqua couldn't go hide in the water... her carriage was strapped on under her dress, so for her to take off the cart so it wouldn't get wet, Aqua would have to take off the dress.... which she could not do on her own. She heaved a huge sigh, starting her laps around the pond again. Aqua usually wasn't this antisocial, but the stuffy atmosphere was getting to her, scaring her. It reminded her of when she had tried to live in that one Hippocamp city by the Gallapocous Island.... stuffy, prim, and eccentrically elegant. Everything Aqua was NOT. Looks like it was going to be a long night.

[ Pony Related Character ] Name: Feathermay Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Earth Pony Pelt Color: Sky Magenta Mane/Tail Color & Style: Long and flowing, colored in a wave of red, orange and yellow. Her tail is mostly wrapped up in a strip of cloth, except for a tuft of it sticking out the end. Her mane is long and flowing, but mostly kept out of her face by a bandanna wrapped around her head. Eye Color: Sea green Cutie Mark: Three feathers, the two larger ones, one red and one blue, cupping a smaller golden feather. Physique: Lean and strong, gained from being a strong swimmer and often at sea on her ship. Residence: She lives on her ship, but spends most of her time on or around Gallapogous Island, sometimes sailing out to dock at ports on the mainland. Occupation: Bird caretaker and pretend pirate. Motivation: May found her talent when she was a young filly, coming across a abandoned red macaw chick. She took it in, caring for it and even teaching it how to fly until it matured. The pride and joy she felt from being a mother for the parrot gave her her cutie mark, and she knew that was what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. Character Summary: Feathermay is the last descendant of one of the greatest pony pirates there ever was: Blackmane. While many thought Blackmane was a notorious pirate who needed to be locked deep in the Canterlot dungeons, what most ponies didn't know was how much of a family pony he was. He cared deeply for his family, and none more than for his favorite granddaughter, Feathermay. It was her that he bestowed his best pirate ship to when he passed away. Feathermay loved to play pirates with the other colts and fillies when she was little, but always played the good pirate, one who was a Robin Hood of the sea. Steal from the rich, give to the poor was her motto. She still is like that even to today, always being kind and helping those in need. Of course, the naughty pirate in her still surfaces from time to time, intimidating other ponies who don't know May well enough with her pirate sneer and swagger. She is also one who loves a good prank or two, as long as it doesn't harm anypony. May's job is to take care of birds, all and every kind of bird. She mainly takes care of tropical birds who get injured during storms or territorial fights because she spends most of her time at the Gallapogous Islands, but a couple of times a month she travels to one or two of the mainland ports for supplies, and takes care of patients that are brought to her while she's there. The parrot she cared for as a filly is still with her to this day, and his name is Rocko. Kinda fat and lazy, he doesn't fly as much as a parrot should. He prefers to perch on things and watch the day go by, often perching on the wrapped part of May's tail and following her around throughout her day. He can speak, but doesn't do so often. When he does, it shocks other ponies who hear them, because of the deep, smooth voice that comes from the fat, small parrot. He is loyal till the end to May, and tries to give her wise advice when she needs it... or when he thinks she does.

Oh, and Cat? You should put the tag [hippocamp] before or after his name in the thread's title - helps others easily see what species he is and makes categorizing easier.

Aqua Drop Aqua looked around as Tempest introduced her a bit defiantly at the gaping townsponies - she didn't blame them for looking at her like that, but she was made of tough stuff. She could handle a couple thousand weird looks. "Yeah, yeah, Hi. As she said, my name's Aqua. Gawk, while you can, cause I'm not stopping!!" She said gleefully, propping herself on all threes again as she loped forward, grabbing Tempest's tail playfully. "Hurry, hurry, come on, come on! I wanna see the town!!" She said, already on the move down the street as a couple of ponies backed away cautiously from her, a few even running indoors and slamming the shutters on their windows shut! Aqua just sighed at them and shook her head. Honestly, was she really the wierdest thing they had ever seen? Surely living inland, they had to have seen worse things than a lil' old harmless hippocamp.

Strawberry Orange "Er... a party? No... My sister and I, like, literally got here this morning. And I'm okay with parties, but most of the ones I've gone to were a bit stuck-up so I'm not too fond of them." Strawberry said, shivering at the memory of her mother primping and licking and brushing her and her sister's manes till they stayed in place with a eerie shine, and the too-tight collars on the stiff dresses their father had crammed onto their flanks. "But starting anywhere is fine, I'm even okay with a quick fly-over to get a general idea of where everything is. I don't want it to take all day 'cause I have to help my sister set up our rooms back at the shop eventually."

Fellow Hippocamp!! <3 Looks like I'll have to change my signatire from 'equestria's resident hippocamp' to 'ponyville's resident hippocamp"! And I like the idea of them loving Princess Luna! Never thought of that. Aqua's a bit of a loner - she doesn't really get along with the other 'frou-frou' hippocamps, so she lived out in the open sea until she got washed into Ponyville.

Spike Spike yawned, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he walked down the stairs into the main part of the Library. Twilight was still snoozing - she had been up late re-categorizing the list of birds that inhabited the trees around Ponyville for Fluttershy. At the bottom of the stairs, he stretched, wincing as his back and tail cracked at the strain. He sighed, rubbing his back as he walked towards the front door to open it. It was suppoosed to be a nice windy day today, and fresh air was good for the books every once in a while. He picked up a few stray books Twilight had left on the floor in her searching, putting them on the small table beside the door as he stretched up to turn the doorknob. He pushed open the bottom half of the door first, him being short and all. He swung it open, and a gust of fresh, sweet wind blew into the library, rustling the pages of the ancient books and finally waking Spike up as he took a deep breath in. He sighed happily, reaching up and pushing the top half of the door open with a grunt. Reaching back inside, he pulled out the sign-stand for the library, carefully carrying it outside despite it being half again his height. He plopped it down, opening it so it was propped open. "Another wonderful morning in Ponyville! It doesn't get much better than this!" He said, clapping his hands together to dust them off, feeling important.
