  1. Muffin was happy to see that Pinkie had got the young colt to smile, not being able to help but smile himself as he saw him hugging the pink pony. "Well bless her little heart!" he exclaimed to Timid. "That Pinkie sure is one friendly mare, don'tcha think?" Muffin said, smiling at the young colt as he finished up his cookie. But even with Pinkie's intervention, Muffin still couldn't get that sad look on Timid's face out of his head, he was curious as to what might be troubling the colt. "I don't mean to intrude or nuthin, lil' fella, but I noticed ya seem a bit down before. Is there somethin' that's botherin' ya?" the earth pony inquired, not being one to go without showing some concern for a little foal like this. He got the feeling that Timid wasn't a native of Ponyville either, which made him wonder just where the young colt's parents were.
  2. "Huh, well guess it won't hurt to give it a try!" Muffin said, taking Strife's advice as he turned to the older pegasus pony behind the counter, "'Scuse me, Mr. Hops. Think I could get a drink, if ya aren't too busy? Nuthin' too expensive though, travel funds are runnin' low." he asked in a polite tone before turning his attention back to Dagger. He wasn't quite able to follow everything the unicorn was saying, but he could tell that he did seem to care for his sister, even though he may not have been completely impressed with her. "Well I'm bettin' that havin' a sister must be nice. Was an only child myself, never knew my father and my ma never really had any stallions in her life. Would've liked to have a lil' brother or sister though, got real lonely on the rock farm with just me and my ma…" Muffin said, with a hint of sadness in his voice, seeming refer to something other than his regret at not having any siblings.
  3. Muffin's attention was drawn to the enthusiastic voice of Midsy as she approached him. He greeted the mare warmly with a smile, nodding in agreement. "Yep! I bettin' those lil' critters are starvin' after stayin' cooped up all winter. And there'll be plenty for all of 'em, there's more carts on the way!" Muffin looked over towards where he'd seen the animals gathered, noticing a few making their way towards him and Midsy. "Oh lookie there! Here come some right n—" It was then that Muffin noticed that what had been a few small critters coming towards them had quickly turned into a large mass of animals swarming towards the two ponies. "Shazam! They must be really hungry!" Muffin exclaimed as he suddenly found himself surrounded by squirrels, rabbits, birds, mice, racoons, and a variety of other animals. "Whoa there lil' fellas! Now don't ya worry, we got plenty of food and... Yeow!" he exclaimed as he felt one of the animals impatiently claw at his leg. Amidst the chaos, Muffint noticed the yellow pegasus trying to restore order amongst the riotous critters. To his surprise, it seemed to work, each of the animals slowly backing away on command from the pegasus. Muffin gave an astonished look to the mare as she trotted over to him. "Oh er… It's no problem at all m'am. I'm guessin' you must be the leader of this here team? Lampwick and that rainbow pegasus told us to start bringin' some food over here and… Whoah!" Muffin exclaimed as a rogue squirrel suddenly climbed up his leg, over his back and jumped onto the wagon.
  4. I honestly dont' think the name is a big deal though as long as you're using him in Crossover RP. Pretty much anything goes there.
  5. When I first read the title of this thread, I figured that there may be problem since Ace is the name of a background earth pony. But since this character is just for the crossover RP, I think you should be okay.
  6. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Major Stronghoof Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Blue Coat Color: Blue Mane: Yellow. Mostly bald with the exception of a few hairs on his scalp which are styled into a curl. Physique: Tall and muscular Cutie Mark: A yellow moustache Origin/Residence: Born and raised in Canterlot Occupation: He holds the rank of major in the Royal Equestrian Army Motivation: To serve his princess and country Likes: Defending the innocent, showing off his strong physique, meeting other ponies with magnificent physiques Dislikes: Deceit, seeing sickly and/or out-of-shape ponies Character Summary: History – Stronghoof was the only male born into a fairly wealthy military family in Canterlot. Coming from a long line of stallions that had served in the Royal Equestrian Army, Stronghoof knew early on that he would be expected to follow in the hoofsteps of his father and his father before him (all of whom also shared the name "Stronghoof"). More than eager to carry on his family's legacy, Stronghoof trained himself both physically and magically, growing up to be both a talented wielder of magic and a rather physically rather physically imposing stallion. Upon joining the Royal Equestrian Army, Stronghoof rose to the rank of major in a relatively short period of time, which he still holds to this day. Fiercely loyal to the Princess, and determined to uphold justice and his family's legacy, Stronghoof could easily be considered a model soldier… That is if it weren't for his quirky behavior. Parents – Major Stronghoof's father, also named Stronghoof, was once a high-ranking officer in the Royal Equestrian Army and currently serves as the head of the Stronghoof household. His mother is a unicorn mare who comes from a fairly well-to-do family Canterlot family. Together, the two of them had five foals, among whom the only colt was Stronghoof. Cutie Mark Story – In Stronghoof's early years, his sole motivation for all his training was to uphold his family's legacy, nothing more. As he got older, however, he began to realize that there had to be more to what he was doing than just simply being his family's living legacy. The answer to his question eventually came one day when he saw some colts bullying a smaller colt close to a nearby school. Having been educated by private tutors his whole life, Stronghoof had never witnessed firsthand such unnecessary cruelty among colts his age before. Now that he had seen it, however, he at first felt rage boiling up inside of him. But before he was able to bring himself to beat the other colts to a pulp, he remembered an old Unyasian proverb that his father once related to him: "Speak softly and carry a big stick." With this in mind, the young Stronghoof slowly approached the two bullies and calmly asked them what they were doing to the younger colt. Already being fairly big and physically imposing for his age, the two bullies immediately shied away from the bigger colt. Once they were gone, Stronghoof helped the colt that was being bullied out of the mud and told him to let him know if they ever bothered him again. It was after the smaller colt thanked stronghoof and went on his way that his cutie mark appeared: A yellow moustache, like the one he would grow as an adult. This moustache symbolized his strength, valor, and his commitment to defending the weak and innocent. Personality – Major Strongoof is a very proud and confident individual, yet he does not let his pride get in the way of his morals and duties. He has a very strong sense of honor and duty, willing to do whatever it takes to defend both his Princess and the citizens of Equestria. Yet at the same time, he is a very friendly and kind-hearted individual, doing his best to be approachable by both subordinate and civilian alike, although his overly-outgoing and boisterous personality can often put other ponies off. But even with his quirks, those closest to the Major see him as a strong ally and loyal friend. Flaws – Although an all-around kind-hearted and decent pony, Major Stronghoof can be quite a quirky individual. He is extremely prideful of his heritage and often brings it up, sometimes to the annoyance of others. He is also very proud when it comes to his physique, and will often show it off at times that one would usually deem inappropriate. The Majro can also be very emotional has very little regard for personal space, not even being afraid to embrace a subordinate if he is moved to tears by something that they say or do, which is not very difficult for him. Okay, now, to address questions everypony's mind: Yes, this character is based off of Major Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist. And yes, I am aware that there is a minor character in Fallout: Equestria named Paladin Stronghoof, although I was not aware of this until I had already come up with the character and someone else told me about it. I had even come up with the name Stronghoof on my own, basing it off of Major Armstrong's moniker, "the Strong Arm Alchemist." I would also like to add that I mostly just made this character for fun because I thought that Major Armstrong would fit in well in Equestria with his colorful and over-the-top personality. Because of this, I don't intend on using him very often or developing him further. The only kind of RP that I would see using him extensively in would be one in which the Royal Equestrian Army is heavily involved.
  7. "Food's here!" Muffin shouted as he came down the road to where the animal team was gathered. He was dressed in a Plant Team vest and pulling along a cart filled with baskets of fruits and vegetables. "Have the first load of fruits and veggies here for the lil' critters! Sorry if I took too long, I'm not too familiar with these parts…" Muffin said, rubbing his hoof to be back of his head as he smiled nervously. "Er, which one of ya is in charge 'round here?" he asked, noticing that things seemed to be somewhat hectic at the moment.
  8. Muffin Top nodded to Greenshot, understanding why he would rather stay behind after the hard time he had with plowing earlier. "Well that's okay, good to stick with what your best at I s'pose." he said, smiling warmly. "Guess I'll be seein' ya then, Greenshot." Muffin waved his hoof goodbye to the unicorn as he trotted on over to one of the carts filled with the baskets of fruits and vegetables, attaching the harness to himself with little trouble. "Alrighty then, which way to the Animal Team?" the earth pony asked enthusiastically. [OOC: Gonna go on over to the Animal Team thread now. I asked Corsair, said they were ready to start feeding the animals now.]
  9. Upon saying that he'd never tried any sweets before, Muffin Top noticed that he seemed to have triggered another outburst from the pink mare named Pinkie. He couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as to just what shew as about to do next, but was pleasently surprised when he found large cookie shoved into his mouth. Muffin took hold of the cookie in his hoof as he took his first bite, the sweet flavor bringing a large grin to his face. "Thank ya m'am, this is delicious! Sweetest thing I ever tasted." he said to Pinkie, right as Sweet Surprise began to hug her. Muffin couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the sight. As Muffin continued to enjoy his cookie, he found his attention drawn to the gold unicorn colt that had walked in earlier with a sad look on his face. He seemed a bit better now, but the earth pony couldn't help but wonder if something was bothering the little foal. "Hey there lil' fella." he said as trotted up to the colt. "How're ya likin' that cookie?" Muffin asked in a cheerful tone.
  10. "Well schucks, you seem like a pretty smart mare to me." Muffin said, in a comforting tone before his attention turned to Dagger. The grey stallion seemed to be giving him a somewhat more thorough answer than what Strife had, and Muffin paid just as much attention to his answer as he did hers. "Oh, you got a sister in the Royal Guard?" Muffin asked. "Well I'm guessin' ya must be awfully proud her, huh? he said, giving the stallion a cheerful smile. "Oh hey, I still haven't gotten a drink yet!" the earth pony said, looking back over towards the bartender. "What's good here? Only drink I ever had was my ma's home brew, real strong stuff!" Muffin said, chuckling slightly at the memory. "Would either of you folks recommend anything?" he asked, looking to Strife and Dagger.
  11. Muffin was happy to see that whatever had been going on before seemed to have blown over, although when the pink mare shouted "NEVER" he couldn't help but flinch a bit. "Er… O-Okay then…" he said, smiling nervously at the earth pony as she went to assist the filly that had just entered. Still not quite sure what to make of what had just happened, Muffin turned his atention to Sweet as she introduced herself. "Oh that's okay m'am, just as long as everything's okay now. And I'm Muffin Top, nice to meetcha" Muffin said, giving the chocolate brown mare a warm smile. "Say, how's that taste anyway?" he said pointing to the cookie that Sweet was munching on. "This is my first time in a bakery like this, ya see." he elaborated. "Spent most of my life on a rock farm, so I ain't never had any sweets before, only ate whatever my ma could make. Closest thing to sweets she ever made was muffins. That's how I got my name, y'know."
  12. While trying to find a way to further assist the plant team, Muffin Top overheard Rainbow Dash talking to Shanna about hauling away the baskets of fruits and vegetables for the animal team. "I could help ya out with that if you'd like, m'am." Muffin said, trotting up to the rainbow pegasus. "Just got finished plowin' some snow, and I'm ready fer more!" he said as he noticed Greenshot standing near him. "Hey Greenshot, wanna help pull some carts too? I'm bettin' all them critters'll be mighty happy to see all this food bein' brought to 'em." Muffin said, smiling at the thought of seeing those animals' happy faces.
  13. Ugh, I know what you mean that's so overused. I prefer to just simply say, "Well this is awkward." Has the same humorous effect and is ten times less annoying.
  14. Muffin Top nodded to Strife, "Why no problem at all, m'am, everypony makes mistakes at sometime or another. Never a good thing to stay mad at folks for what they done, 'specially if they're real sorry fer it." the stallion said in a sincere tone. "So about the Royal Guard..." he continued, his mind quickly changing gears. "I was just wonderin' how ya go about joining the the Royal Guard. There a lot to it? Are they real picky about who they pick?" Muffin asked, his ears intently listening to whatever answers the mare gave him.
  15. Muffin Top remained in the same spot as before, combating the inferno with the tiny garden hose. He did not seem to be discouraged by the fact that their combined effort didn't seem to be doing too much to stop the fire and the tenacious earth pony didn't intend on moving from where he stood until the fire was completely extinguished. Turned out that he wouldn't have to wait too long as he saw the earth pony from before run past him and to the door of his cottage. Thinking that he was attempting go inside, Muffin considered dropping the hose and going to stop him until he saw him stop just short of the burning building itself and throw a flask into the blaze. Before he could even think to ask him what he was doing, Muffin saw a massive stream of foam erupt from the doorway to the cottage, throwing the owner of the cottage back with its sheer force and sending him plowing into Muffin himself. The blue earth pony landed on top of Muffin, both of them disoriented and covered in foam. Muffin wiped away the foam from his face with his hoof, looking over in the direction of the cottage to see that the fire had been replaced with foam. "Well whattya know? I guess that worked!" he said, turning to the other earth pony with a congratulatory smile on his face, although still not entirely sure of just happened.
  16. I think I might be interested in joining as well. I've often thought that Muffin might get along well in Appleloosa, and now would be as good a time as any to find out. And if there are any outlaws involved in this RP, the fact that he's an out-of-towner and is also extremely gullible and naive would make him an easy target for those wanting to swindle a few bits out of him. So yeah, sign me up!
  17. Big Macintosh and Smartypants. 'Nuff said.
  18. I would like to think that if and when G4 does end, Hasbro will realize that they finally got it right and do something similar for G5. But that might not necessarily be the case. I mean, look at Beast Wars: to most Transformers fans, that was the best thing to happen to the franchise since G1 (although in my opinion, this show was miles ahead of anything in G1 in terms of its characters and story), but then they followed it with Beast Machines which kinda sucked. Then even when they went back to the original characters with Armada that ended up not being very good either (save for the fairly decent video game based off of it). So if how Hasbro handled Tranformers is any indication, I'm not so sure that we can count on G5 as being as awesome as G4. But we will have a live action Michael Bay adaptation to look forward to in a couple more generations.
  19. Muffin Top turned to Dunder after hearing Rainbow Dash bark orders at him. "Go on an' help her, I'll take care of this." Muffin said, taking the hose from the pegasus and holding it between his hooves. Having not grown up in a house with any sort of plumbing, he wasn't used to using something like a hose. He had a bit of a hard time handling it at first, nearly dropping it a couple times, but soon got the hang of how to handle it. Although at that point, the rain was making more of a difference than tiny little garden hose. But the earth pony still did his part to help, holding hte hose tightly between his hooves while being soaked by the rain from Rainbow Dash's cloud. Although he couldn't help but look around for the other earth pony, a bit curious as to just where he would disappeared to while his own cottage was on fire.
  20. Clever. Not like they could do anything even if this was real, I'm fairly certain everything under this site is protected under Fair Use.
  21. Well I'm actually thinking of posting it on FIMFiction, I was just looking on here to see if anyone here would be interested in a collaboration. That being said, I the story I have in mind isn't really anything too mature, but it will likely contain some mature language, but mostly in the form of interjections, more than anything else.
  22. Okay, so, I have this idea for a multi-chapter South Park crossover fanfic. I have a pretty clear idea of the plot and how the story would unfold, and I even have a decent conclusion for it in mind. There's only one problem though: My creative writing skills really aren't all that great, at all. So far I've experimented with writing a few paragraphs, but what I have just doesn't seem very readable at all. What's worse is that even if I was able to make a decent, readable story, I'm not sure that I'd be able to make it funny, at least not in way that would faithfully mesh the humor of both South Park and MLP. So essentially, I don't want this idea for what could potentially be a decent fanfic ruined by my mediocre writing skills, and I'm curious if there is anyone around here with some some decent creative writing ability who would be interested in collaborating with me on this?
  23. During his travels, Muffin Top had somehow managed to wander into the Everfree forest. Had he been more familiar with the area, or had just taken the time to stop and inquire about it from some local ponies, this probably could have been avoided. Now, he was wandering aimlessly through the dark forest, having long since wandered off path after spotting a the back of a cockatrice (easily identifiable to him, the cockatrice was a sort of boogeyman among young rock farmers). It was now looking as if cockatrices would be the least of his worries, as heard strange noises coming from all around him, among them being a rather intimidating low growl of a rather unfriendly sounding creature… Then something else caught his attention, the smell of smoke filling his nostrils. His ears perked up as he looked around him, hoping that maybe he'd stumbled onto a nearby campfire, maybe another pony that could help him. Finding an small opening in the forest's dense canopy, Muffin spotted a column of smoke rising into the sky. Whatever was making that smoke, it surely couldn't have been coming from an ordinary campfire. A forest fire perhaps? Muffin may not have been the smartest pony, but even he knew it wasn't wise to go galloping towards the source of a possible forest fire. At the same time, however, considering his current situation, a fire still could mean other ponies. Maybe they needed help? As the earth pony weighed his options, he heard something big rustling some branches behind him. Quickly making up his mind, Muffin Top broke into a full gallop towards the source of the smoke, not even thinking of looking back. After galloping a relatively short distance, Muffin Top came to grinding halt as he found himself in a clearing where two cottages stood before him, one of which was on fire. "Shazam! That fella's house is on fire!" Muffin exclaimed, quickly cantering over to the other earth pony, determined to help in any way that he could.
  24. That's exactly where I got the idea for his name from! Glad someone was able to catch that, huge Seinfeld fan.^^
