IceStorm

Well, prior to the latest Episode of FiM, I had decided to write a fanfic where one of the princesses had gotten kidnapped, but I first wanted to wait and see what Princess Cadence was like. You know so I had a full perspective of all the characters that were going to be involved with the story and to get personalities right. My problem now though, is they have used this EXACT plot now twice in FiM. Once in the first Episode (Princess Celestia getting kidnapped by Nightmare Moon, and now in Royal wedding (Princess Cadence getting Kidnapped by Changling Queen). I am at a loss to whether I should try to go ahead and do this fanfic, or if I should just trash it. The very fact that it's been done twice makes me skeptical, and even discouraged because I don't think I could write it as good as HASBRO, and I HATE providing low-quality work. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I JUST got a chance to watch this episode and Oh my gosh was it amazing! It was touching to the point where I was actually crying by the end, and Cadence is AMAZING. she is now favorite Pony Ever. I just words cannot describe how amazing this was. Speechless, I'm just speechless on it.

Ice Storm finished making the smoothing for the Mayor and left it on the counter for her to pick up when she was ready. She then turned to Rarity and nodded as she asked for one of her raspberry snow-cones. Her snow-cones, while they were quite large, it was still hard to spiff up a snow-cone to make it look as fancy as a shake or a smoothie. Than being said, The quality she made them more than made up for it. Ice Pulled one of the cones from the dispenser and access the water tank again. She pulled the water up into a stream with her telekinesis and started swirling and freezing it at the same time, causing it to be as fluffy as if it had just fallen from the sky. She conformed the newly made snow to fit snugly and applied the flavoring while doing so. After a few moments, the snow cone was the size of a small globe, and after a few more moments, it looks like a perfect sphere and Ice tops it with a fresh raspberry. "Here you go Rarity. One Raspberry snow cone. I hope you enjoy it," she said with a smile.

Ice Storm nodded when Pixie said that she lived in Cloudsdale but he spend her fillyhood here, and added that it was raspberry and cherry punch. "Oh, it's really, really good." she said in response to the punch, as she heard something sound like it was falling from behind her. She looked back and saw that everything was taken care of. She turned back around and smiled. "So then, what's everypony like around here then? Who all are you expecting to be here? I'm really excited to meet everypony," she said, "In any sense you're lucky to have parents as amazing as yours look. I wish my parents were just remotely close to that, they just mainly ignored me," she stated in a slightly sour expression. She wasn't going to get into it though, this was a party. She didn't know a lot about parties, but she did know the point of parties was to have fun.

"Hey Rarity! Thanks, it really means a lot to me. I still can't thank you enough for helping me out when you did," she replied with a smile turning to Lore. "Thank you Lore, I've been doing this for a while. I used to run this same store in Canterlot. It wasn't as well received there but it paid the bills. I'm glad you enjoy it!" She told him turning back to Rarity. "Hmm, well everything I have is of the highest quality I could find here. Anything less would have been unacceptable. You can't have the highest quality products without the highest quality ingredients. That being said, everything I have is good." She said smiling as she noticed the Mayor coming in. "Oh that's quite okay. I just opened so you aren't late at all." She said as she put the fresh strawberries in the bottom of the cup with about a quarter of a cup of the actually juice, and used her magic to pull water up from the water tank and freeze it into a powder snow as well as the cream. She put both in the cup and lifted it under the blender to be mixed. It took a bit longer than the shake to get fine tuned, but that was because of the pieces of fruit that were getting blended in. Once finished, Ice took another whole strawberry and placed it down onto the rim of the cup to keep it in place. She then handed the Smoothie to the Mayor and put the bits in the drawer, making sure to take one bit of that and put it aside. All she had to do was make ten sales today, and she could have Rarity paid off, and guarantee a secured friendship with her.

Ice Storm smiled, "One Chocolate milkshake coming up!" she said enthusiastically as she reached into the under section of the cart which she turned into a freezer with her magic. She pulled out the ice cream and a bit a milk and used the Syrup for the cup. Three squirts of Chocolate, two scoops of Ice Cream, another two squirts of chocolate, and a cup of milk all were placed under the bit of the blender and turned on. Low at first to make sure it didn't splash and she used her ice magic to thicken it. Once the shake part was done she grabbed the whipped cream from the cooler and made a perfect top for it, drizzled it with chocolate and then placed a cherry on top and then handed it to Lore. "Here you go, One chocolate shake." Her tone excited, happy to be serving her friends. "The first one is on me. Consider it a thanks for letting me stay at your book shop." She said giving a wide-eyes closed smile.

Ice Storm wave at Lore when he said hello, and he started to approach the stand. "Yeah, it cost me a bit, but nothing I shouldn't be able to pay off in a couple months if everything goes well. Even if I don't get to stay in the tent, I still have my stand that I can sell from, and I made the tent look as presentable as possible making sure everything was clean and all that. In the end I just know it will be worth it. I made sure everything that I got was the highest quality I could find. Can I make you anything?" she asked with a smile.

It had taken a few weeks for Ice Storm to get everything ironed out for exactly what she needed for her business to get started. She knew that she would be successful based off of what other ponies had told her about Ponyville, and she would be able to get everything going in no time. The bank was actually quite generous and understanding, more so than she thought they would be at least, and were willing to give her a one thousand bit loan for her to get her supplies she needed. If she was as successful as she hoped that she would be here, Ice knew that wouldn't be that difficult to pay off. If nothing else only a couple months. Ice Smiled as she walked into the tent that the mayor had said that she could use for her business. It was great for now, but once she got the bits, she would eventually want to own a store, but for right now, she was happy. She used the extra bits to get a small stand, and she began unpacking the boxes of Syrups that she got, and began filling up the water tank. So this is it, I'm finally going to be open again. I really really hope everypony here enjoys these more than they did in Canterlot. she thought to herself as she arranges the flavorings on the stand. She looked at the blenders that she got for the milkshakes and smoothies. She managed to get a decent quality ones where she could mix everything in the cup, and then just wash the bit after each use. It made her happy that she wouldn't have to waste time trying to fiddle with buttons and she could serve happy customers quicker. After abut another hour of getting everything set up and making sure that the tables under the tent were clean and presentable, Ice Storm went out to the front of the tent and looked at it from the outside. She had done it. Her business was finally getting started again. It made her so happy that she could do something like this here in Ponyville. She finally was able to lift her sign with her telekinesis and place it of the front of the tent, the "FROZEN DELIGHTS" printed on them in Ice Shaped letters, and underneath it, she was able to put the sign that made her the happiest, as she placed her "open" sing on the small peg in the center. She then went over to the stand and posted her menu under the stand window. Menu: Snow Cones: 3 bits Flavors: lemon, lime, raspberry, cherry, punch, grape, apple, watermelon, orange, strawberry Milkshakes: 4 bits Flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and Mint Smoothies: 6 bits Flavors: Strawberries & Cream, Orange Dreamcicle, Mixed Berry, Apple, Cherry, and Pineapple. Ice Sculptures: Prices Vary: Give at least one day in advance. There, all done! Now to just wait for the first customer! Oh this is so exciting! she thought to herself as she moved behind her stand to await her first transaction.

Ice Storm listened to the filly. It was a sad story indeed to hear that nopony stood up for her at all. It was a pain that Ice knew all too well. Her parents didn't look after her either, and in Filly, every pony was more concerned with what they were doing to so much as even look down. She would quite often come home with bruises or a mane that looked like it had torn to shreds, and she had to keep her tail cut short there just to avoid having it stepped on. That happened to her once, and she bled for what seemed like for ever. She shuddered at the memories. "Well, at the very least you managed to at least learn how to defend yourself. I didn't learn how to do that myself until I was in Canterlot, and even then it was more with a sharp tongue than anything physical." she said pausing when she said she did have a friend that stood up for her, but no one took seriously. "At least you had that..." Ice said laying down next to the tree. "I know what it's like to pretty much have to raise yourself. Heck, I've done it. It's not easy. To be honest, I don't even think it bothered my parents when I left. They were too busy with their own friends, and their own lives to probably even notice that I left. When I was your age, I was already in Canterlot just trying to keep afloat. I can't say that I know your situation. I'm not you, nor have I ever met you before today. And hey, sometimes a young colt that trots around thinking about being a sky-pirate that sticks up for you can be a good thing. It just shows that a friend will always stand up for you, and lend a hoof. It's something I only just found out myself." she said, getting a grin of her own. "But enough of the depressing stuff, How are you enjoying Ponyville? Finding enough to do while you're here?"

Me? I'm more of a night owl. Well actually, I'm an all time of day person. Most of the time that I'm up late well, I'm browsing Canterlot, or various other forums that I'm a part of, and trying t keep as a regular in every location, (That is really hard to do) I'm also working on music programs to get my songs actually recorded decently so I can actually post some of my works without having to be embarrassed by the horrible sound quality that is the best my current Mic can pick up. Granted, I do all of my actual recording attempts during the day. (It's a bit well, rude to play an overdrive/distortion guitar at 1:30 in the morning) Other than that, it's mainly just on here browsing or RPing in the chat, or both.

Ice Storm nodded to the younger filly when she told her that she was here with her mom. She assumed that she meant in Ponyville because she didn't see anypony else in the park as she was walking through. She listened as the younger unicorn said that they were some old friends that they were visiting and she was actually from Trottingham, and that they were only going to be here for a couple weeks. "Oh, you're from Trottingham? Well we have a little bit in common at least, I'm from Fillydelphia, so we both have big city backgrounds," she said to the other pony. "Hopefully Trottingham treated you better at least that Filly did for me, I ended up running away. It wasn't one of my smartest decisions, but in all honesty, I don't regret doing it. When you get walk over like your trash, it doesn't make you want to stay for very long, and Canterlot is even worse than Filly for that. Trust me..." she said rolling her eyes during the last part. Ice storm actually caught herself a bit though. She was trying not to talk down on too many ponies from Canterlot because she realised that a majority of the ponies she talks about are the ones that think that they were high class. Unfortunately, they were the ones she was around most, but she did know a few nice ponies from Canterlot, Lore being one of them, even though he doesn't live in Canterlot anymore. I might make a visit back up to Canterlot once I get settled in. If nothing else to rub how successful I've become in the face of the goodie-too-shoos there to show them even us non-high class ponies can be just as good, if not better than they are, she thought to herself.

Ice Storm woke up early this morning. Lore had been very kind letting her stay there with him while she was looking for a place of her own. than being said, she remembered what the mayor had told her before about a pony named Filthy Rich. She said that he would be the pony to talk to in regards abut a business loan to help her get started with at least enough bits to get the supplies she needs to get started. She was perfectly fine working out of a tent for a while in the market place until she could afford to purchase an actual shop, but she still needed the flavorings and something to at least keep the water contained in. She needed something almost like an aquatic tank to keep the water flowing. It made the highest quality snow when she used her magic on it, and in turn was the highest quality for snow cones, she would also need the items required for smoothies, and milkshakes as well. Looking at everything that I need, I estimate that the water tank and the blenders would be the most expensive. The water itself for the ice sculptures shouldn't be that difficult, since it's just water, and those are done by request anyway. The syrups shouldn't be all that expensive either. In Canterlot an entire bottle of one flavor was only a few bits. Then again, these treats weren't very popular there either so that may have been why they were so cheap. That being said, I should probably expect them to be a bit higher here. so lets say about ten bits-ish for each flavor, and I need... lemon, lime, raspberry, cherry, punch, grape, apple, watermelon, orange, strawberry...she thought to herself as she continued walking towards town hall. The Mayor said Mr. Rich was always by the business bulletins every morning, she she hoped that she would be able to catch him. I think that's all for snow cones, I'll also need a good supply of actual fruit for the smoothies, and a good supply of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry shake syrups. so just in syrups alone, I'm looking at. hmmm... at least a hundred and thirty bits just to get started with one of every flavor. I 'could' probably do without some of the flavors startign up and get multiples of the basics, but then I wouldn't be a true frozen treat stand if I didn't offer every flavor imaginable. She continued thinking to herself on the manner, and before she knew it she was at the town hall. Okay, so to get started with everything to get everything I need assuming all my math is accurate, eight hundred 'should' be enough to get started. That would give me enough for three bottles of flavoring syrups a piece, a couple blenders, and the water tank I'm looking for with a little bit left over to get more supplies if needed. I could go 900 to make sure, but I don't know How Mr. Rich would react to somepony asking to loan that many bits. It is a business loan sure, but that's still a lot of bits, she thought to herself concluding her estimates before heading inside.

Ice Storm looked to the younger filly and she looked to be a bit troubled. Ice Storm looked around and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. When the filly spoke, she held a very heavy city accent. Ice Storm Recognized it immediately. Granted it wasn't the same accent as Canterlot or Fillydelphia, but it had the city feel to it. Ice Storm looked around again, "Hope you don't mind me trotting by, you just looked kinda lonely so I figured you'd like somepony to talk to. After all, no one should have to spend a day alone," she said hoping to get a smile out of the filly. (meh, sorry for short post, it's 3:30 in the morning here.)

I was fortunate enough to be able to stump him rather easily, of course that happens when you have your own Novel Series that hasn't been published yet. The one time I did try something legit though, it was Luna, and it took him 18 questions to guess it.

Ice Storm Ice Storm was making her way around the park as usual in her mornings. Just because she wasn't staying at the park anymore didn't mean she didn't enjoy going for her morning strolls, a habit that she got into and was quite fond of. The crisp, cool morning air was always a delight for her, and the moisture on the ground from the dew was comforting, and and the slight breeze was making her even more happy. She hadn't been in Ponyville long, she she wasn't sure what the typical morning was like, but she had been out and about enough to know that there was usually something going on. It was indeed quieter than normal, and she wasn't sure if it was something to be alarmed about of it it was just how some days were around here. Just then she saw a younger filly laying next to one of the trees with an apple. She didn't have anything better to do this morning so she decided to trot on over and say hello. "Hey there!" she said with a large smile on her face.

Ice couldn't help but let a small giggle and a nod when Golden started t waltz with his wife. After being together for twenty-five years, it was definitely quite an accomplishment. Hearing that friendship was what life was all abut made Ice very happy as well. That meant to ponies here valued friendship over everything else, and it was a trait that she was quickly discovering was true about everyone in ponyville. Of the few ponies that she has met, everyone has been really nice and has helped her. Ice Storm made her way over to the punch next to Pixie and Dunder. "So Pixie, I remember that you said that you don't live here in Ponyville, what's it like where you're from?" she asked taking a small drink of her punch. It was quite delicious, and she just had to know what flavor it was. This flavor would make an amazing snow cone. "Oh wow, this punch is amazing. This would make a perfect snow cone flavor once I get opened up," she said with a smile.

Actually, it does kind of make sense. Especially since most of the people that I know personally value friends more than their own family, myself included. And in this day and age with the economy being as rough as it is, this thread pretty much sums up everything. The meaning of life is friendship because without that friendship, you lack knowing the necessary people that is required to get into the job market at this point, and it's only going to get worse in the years to come. Thus it's that friendship that help both stimulate, and destroy the economy at the same time. Long story short though without going into a long thesis about regarding the aforementioned topic, Yeah, Friendship =/= meaning of life

The origin of my Original username, (Elazar) is from the very first DnD character I made, I used it when I joined my first forum and it just kinda stuck. Now my username reprisents the name of the Character I RP with.

Ice Storm was kinda sad inside that she couldn't help Rarity close up, but it was probably for the best anyway. As Rarity said, the party was in twenty minutes, and she wouldn't want to be late to her first ever party. Ice Storm nodded and smiled. Closing the store probably would have taken more than twenty minutes, and what kind of impression would that be if she were late? That just simply couldn't do at all. She gave Rarity a nod when she said that she would be along later, that she would just need to find something to wear to the party. Ice Storm let out a small giggle along with Rarity after she said that and nodded again, even happier when she said that she would love to do lunch at some point. "Thank you, It would be an honor, and you can be guaranteed that once I have a steady income, and after I've paid the other ten bits, I'll be a frequent customer here. If nothing else for small fashions to help with decorations for the shop once it's opened, and who doesn't need a new dress from time to time?" Ice said with a laugh as she started for the door, "Well, I'll be heading off Rarity. It was a pleasure getting to meat you, and an even bigger pleasure to actually be able to buy a dress from you. I'll see you at the party!!!" she said as she left the boutique.

Ice storm listened as Rarity described Pinkie Pie. She sounded like a fun pony to be around if her parties were that entertaining, and when she listened to how Rarity depicted parties here in Ponyville, she was even more excited to go. Ever since she came to ponyville she's experience nothing but happiness. Now she obviously knew that she couldn't be happy all the time, but as far as today went, she doubted that there was a single thing that could make her unhappy today. So far it has been the most perfect day that she has ever had. She looked outside to the clock tower and saw that the party was going to be starting in about twenty minutes. "Oh, I'm even more excited to go, and it starts in only about twenty minutes. Is there anything I can do to help you close up? I don't know where anything goes obviously but I can help with smaller things if you'd like!" she said to her happily, "Oh, and once I get everything going we should totally do lunch sometime," she said with a small laugh.

Ice Storm nodded to the Mayor, "Okay, that would be most appreciative, and if I can use one of the tents for now, then all I would need to borrow from anypony would be enough to just get the supplies I need. Hopefully I can find them at Sugar Cube Corner, and that they aren't very expensive. I don't want to be overly expensive myself as long as I can still get the supplies I need," she stated thinking abut what she said about Filthy Rich. The name as she said was indeed a bit off putting, but if he was as nice as she said then what could be the harm in asking? The worst he could say is no. She then listed to her and lore talk about another unicorn named Twilight Sparkle. Hey! she used to live in Canterlot! she thought to herself. She'd never met Twilight because she was always busy with her store, and she could only imagine that a pony so caught up in studies like twilight would be hard pressed to find the time to do anything other than study. She's a celebrity here in Ponyville? she thought to herself though nodding when the mayor said that she like to spend most of her time in the library with her books. They then started talking about some other business stuff so she let the two talk about that and started sorting some of the books. She was still listening though for the Mayors input on her statements though so it didn't look like she was ignoring everypony.

Ice Storm nodded to Pixie when she said that all the decorations were complete. Rarity had told her that all the parties in Ponyville were quite entertaining, and that there was going to be lots of fun stuff to do. She could only imagine how many ponies were going to show up to it. She was also looking forward to when Rarity would be able to make it. She had to stay behind a bit and work on closing up the store, but she really wanted to get to know the unicorn some more. And then there was this Pinkie Pie that Rarity had spoke of. She said that she was a very interesting pony, but parties made by her were always very entertaining. She wondered if she would be attending this party. She could only hope. The more ponies that showed up the more ponies Ice had a chance to make friends with. "Thanks again for inviting me today Pixie. I've only been in Ponyville a few hours and I already feel more welcome here than I did the entire time I lived in Canterlot. I was even able to get something Rarity for the party today, Everypony is just so much nicer here." she said turning to show the dress she was able to get thanks to Rarity helping her, a lot. She knew that Rarity was taking a big hit on this dress and she could have gotten a lot more from it, but Rarity looked extremely happy once the transaction was completed. As she turned she noticed Gerty behind her with a greeting card. She could tell that it was hoof made, and it was simply magnificent. "Why thank you, like I just finished telling Pixie, I can't thank you enough for inviting me today." she said with a smile noticing that Dunder had made it as well. She was very happy to see that, and he was already hitting the punch bowl. "Hey!" she said with a wave. "Glad to see you could make it too!" she smiled.
