Not everypony is as glad to find themselves up at the end of Luna's glorious night, unfortunately." Shanna smiled and gave a quick curtsy to the Duke. "We hope to meet her someday and thank her for these perfect nights for our work. I am doing quite well this morning, thank you Duke." With Hoss adding "...And I as well, Duke Polaris." When Marsala Chai addressed them, the twins turned back to her "Whatever you would reccomend to keep us bright and alert for our weather duties this morning, and something to eat with it." "Yes, we are to help a weather crew shepard a decent rain over to the fields of Trottingham before we can go to bed..." Hoss' eyes brightened at the question by Marsala "Oh! oh yes Please let me introduce a mare we hope to be Cloudsdale's answer to Sapphire Shores. Miss Chai, please meet Jubilee Flyer!"

RD gave a muffled retort to the zebra as the guard kept his wing over her mouth, racing up to the Doctor. Amber Wands gave a scream as the zebra lunged at her Her wand formed another shield like a glowing warrior's shield which raised up to stop the strike at her horn. the thud on the shield rocked her back, giving his hoof a glancing blow on her neck, dazing her for a moment. She threw the shield forward at the zebra to try and push him back and keep him there. "*pant* FOAL! You believe him?! If it were that easy, the Princesses would not have used the Elements on him! Even Discord does not know what he will do tomorrow. He might randomly decide to break his word, or roll back time so that he never gave it to begin with, or any number of bizzare ways around that." Meanwhile the guards, Spike, and RD were racing into the strange blue box. One called to her "Miss! We cant leave Rainbow Dash! You have to come to us! Hurry!"

Thorn suddenly looked around when Double M spoke to him. The pony ahead of him had wandered out of line while Pathfinder was scaring everypony with the freaky cursed gemstone that even gleamed evilly and apparently possessed it's owner for a moment. Said absent pony made HIM the next one up for the kiss. "I am going to get two for my parents, and it would seem that I am now up, my fine fellow. Wish me luck!" The russet jack took one of the clover breath sprays being passed up and down the line and gave his mouth a last minute spray, then passed it to Metal Maker. Thorn pranced on up to the counter, obviously in awe of the heroic mare. And of course, how often does a donkey get a kiss from a pony? "I-i am Thorn.. I would like two bushels of apples fit both for baking and eating as they are, M-miss Applejack."

Ok, I thought I had a OOC thread in free-for-all on this. As you may have guessed, the ravens following the group are the eyes, ears, and occasional group guides for the creature behind bringing humans to Equestria. I'm trying to run this like a Start of season or end of season type script ported to a movie, including a mysterious figure who may be threat. Now for the big reveal to see if everypony is still interested; the mane character is a Ki'rin, recently awakened and needing some help. Help she believes she can control. We shall see about that... Ok, Q&A time. lay it on me!

Hoss looked to the broneys "Heh, yeah that's right. Okay, Heads, Codex gets to choose, Tails, Silver Swirl chooses, and after that I can give a try at fixing those frames, Codex." The bay unicorn closes his eyes and thinks of flipping the coin as he tosses his hoof up. Hoss quickly opens his eyes to see what the coin is doing and ready to catch it. The gold Bit spins in the air, flashing light. Hoss spots a raven diving for the coin and panics, frantically kicking a rock into the air to knock the raven away. Fortunately the raven is frightened and veers away, letting the coin land on the trail. (makes real coin toss) "And it's ..tails!" The wayward rock lands in the brush ahead while he raven settles into a tree further ahead, looking frustrated. (OOC: another player asked to join, and presented reasons for his appearance and limitations that happen to dovetail with my plotting of the being that is behind it all. It was not an easy decision, but we are down several players already, and any new blood is welcome. Since it may help interest in continuing. I'll be making a Q&A post in the OOC thread for Canterlot The Movie and reveal some of what is going on and listen to suggestions. For now, while the new player is a very young alicorn, he's essentailly as powerless as we are, a unicorn with wings he dont know how to use. I'll be working hard to try and keep things balanced and will listen to any input from you guys.)

Candy Catch-em smiled 'Layered like the Princess? That would be interesting. Great idea Louise." She nodded to Doc Holly Day and Louise. "I heard a certain mare was responsible for driving the creatures from Ponyville. Reports say she put together a one-pony polka marching band and led them back into the Everfree forest. While that was gong on, I was in Fillydelphia on an emergency call by the mayor there for the same problem. I tried everything before I remembered they only respond to music or food, so I got the Fillydelphia Grand Marching Band together and led the beasties out of town. I cant figure out the reports of building damage to Ponyville though. The things only eat food causing devistation by starvation so I have to wonder what happened with that bunch...

(OOC: While the adventure starts out in Canterlot, it will end up in the Everfree and be mainly in that area) Candy Catch-em finally got out of the spa after a full body cleaning that morning. She was glad she would never have a unicorn foal after Pumpkin Cake made a gooey mess of her wings. It was a mystery to her how an Earth mare had twins that were a Unicorn and a Pegasus -Until she had heard they were from Ponyville. Since that was the epicenter of the Discord attack and Mrs. Cake would have been pregnant at the time, the case was solved in her mind. Getting her mind back on the special event she had planned that day, she tipped her bush hat back and streetched her wings "Ah Much better!" The pegasus mare then checked on the nearest poster she had put up several days before. She read over the poster tacked on a wall post, asking for volenteers or other help for the chance to help move a rescue Manticore who promised to not hurt a pony. A ride in an air yacht and free food was guaranteed by her today. "I hope I get enough help today. It would make things much easier."

Madam Bistro gave her body a stretch as she stood up with Drowsy's help. She then followed Drowsy Feather over to the wooden frame with the ropes hanging down. The mocha mare ulped and looked the rope up and down, then reared up to grab it in her fetlocks. She grunted and pulled, then grabbed the rope in her teeth to hold on while she reached higher on the rope. her back legs scrambled for purchase until she managed to grip her hocks against the rope, the ankle joints making a rope sandwich as she inched her way up the line. Bistro looked around with her amber eyes to see what her progress was. The mare sighed as she found she had only gotten equal to one body length off the ground

Amber gasped as the zebra jumped over her after unmasking and blocked the way. Amber raced over while Rainbow Dash was yelling at the zebra "Oh Yeah!? She aint here stripy! Are you blind as well as dumb?" Her guard hurriedly put a wing over her mouth. Amber nodded thanks and raised her wand "She is not here so I suggest you leave peacefully! Guard! Go with the Doctor! Get them to the Tardis! I'll hold this... this... Minion at bay!" Seeing the bright colored unicorn racing over to challenge the zebra, Spike broke free of the guard and ran to the Doctor and whispered "I last saw Twilight near the refugee camp outside of town! Hurry!" The guards now galloped toward the Doctor "Hurry, Sir. lead the way!"

(OOC; waiting for the Dr to respond, might as well pad the scene a bit more...) Amber cast a shield spell in the form of a yard wide orange disk and pushed it forward toward the hooded figure to make it back up "If you dont remove that hood, so help me I will! Guards! Get Miss Dash and the dragon out NOW!" Spike yelled "What?!" as he was scooped up, while the other swept a wing around RD and ran forward with the blue pegasus mare, both headed for the portal...

(OOC: up to mojo on if Jubilee was flying or riding...) The twins flapped their way toward Canterlot, having finished their observations for the night. Hoss was quite excited since he had brought his Special Somepony , the singing and dancing sensation, Jubilee. Since it was a special night..err, morning, and they would be coming to Canterlot, it was decided to try out the teahouse Marsala Chai ran. She had given them the business card the other day while waiting at a jewlers. Shanna scanned the street markers inlaid in tile on the rooftop street corners. "Here we are, lets hover to a landing." The yellow cart was levitated to a landing as the twins slowed their wingbeats and parked neatly. Hoss unhitched and looked to Jubilee "We are here hon, ready for breakfast?" Shanna trotted up and opened the door "Good morning Miss Chai, We thought we would try your shop after the other day, and we just got off our Starwatch duties." Hoss entered, holding the door for Jubilee, when he spotted Duke Polaris. "Oh! Good morning, your Grace. How nice to meet you here."

I can see how the sea-horse seaponies coud be scary to the target age group, but I'm guessing they havent even tried Canterlot.com style hippocampus ponies either. * Sigh... *

Sounds like we have a good number of players ready then. Should we decide what everypony's role or reason is for being there before I start the thread? Candy Catch-em is there of course as the naturalist who talked one of her exotic collector customers into letting her use the sky yacht, and I'll also run the Manticore and various crew. Putting up posters for helpers and/or volenteers that day is a good idea and I'll include it in the first post. Thanks Dunder. Reasons for being there can include being part of the crew, or as ponies who showed up because of the poster, or bored posh ponies along for the excitement.

Not at all, Candy Catch-em only stopped in that thread for breakfast so it's not neccessary to have played there. If you like, you can read it here to get some of the backstory on the manticore before this RP starts. Candy will be retelling it anyway but it would be a handy head start to read.

Snails pranced in place as he waited for Snips to get his badge from a different pony than the famous Pathfinder. He ulped as Snips suddenly pointed out that he was still not yet in costume. "Oh gee! Ah didnt have m'costume on so's ya could see me in this crowd! Juuuust a second here." Snails pulled his vampire mosquito costume out of his saddlebag and wiggled into it, not seeing Pathfinder close the door on the others in line. The orange foal pulled out a set of deelybobber antennae covered in glitter and plopped them on his head. All as he bumped his way through the crowd behind the already-costumed Snips. "A-almost..there...." He found himself in the auditorium, only even he could not see over the adult Darie fans closest to the Auditorium door. He saw folding chairs and tables stacked against the wall, with some foals already perched on top "Hay Snips! There's some seats we can see from!" The lanky foal found the chair the other foals had used for a ladder and clambered up onto the nest of stacked tables and reached down a hoof "Come on up, Snips! Ah'll help ya!" If he got a chance to look out the window now at his level behind him, he would see Rainbow Dash and Carrot Fields looking for a way in...

Amber wheeled around again in surprise, seeing a cloaked figure in the doorway. She got herself in front of Rainbow Dash protectively. "Guards, get her in the portal, just in case." RD snorted "I can take care of myself. 'Sides, that sounds like a lost foal, right? Come here little fella..." Amber motioned to the guards to get RD moving. "Ponyville is Discorded again, nothing is as it seems Miss Dash...Please hurry with these guards so you can get your wing fixed." She lifted her wand defensively "You! Remove your hood slowly." RD was hustled toward the portal as the pegasus kept looking over her shoulder at the scene. "Okay, okay, i got the picture. I'm a famous VIP now, huh."...

Amber gasped as the library door swung open behind her, a dark shilohette standing there. after a moment, Amber ahemed when a familiar voice called from the door. "Doctor! I am glad its you. We thought it was Discord's minions." Rainbow Dash bounced on her hooves "Did it work?!" and looked a her back, seeing one of her wings was normal, but the other was still backwards. "Oh Ponyfeathers!" One of the guards motioned to the door "Please, Miss Wands, Doctor, lets get her back to Skyhaven before something happens."

Chatted with Dunder and found out more details needed to be posted on the general plot. Along the way, the airship will be forced down by a wild Everfree storm before the pegasi aboard can deal with it, and the Manticore will get out in an area too dangerous for it. Manticore Roundup ahoy!

In the Pony Joe thread, I iannounced that my critter wrangler pegasus, Candy Catch-em was going to be taking a manticore she had been nursing back to health back to the wild, via an air yacht she convinced a customer to let her use for the day. Anypony interested in joining a trip by airship to the Everfree to release a critter the size of a 1979 chevy van?

(OOC: Sorry delays. Just remembered that one of the other players was running a human and twilight both in this thread. Is that player still around? Untill I hear one way or the other, I've found Rainbow Dash instead. ) Amber Wands looked around the Library in growing panic "Miss Sparkle! Its an emergency! DIscord is rampaging again! Where are you?!" A baby dragon poked his head out from the stairwell to the second floor, then looked back up the stairs "Come on out Rainbow Dash! Its two royal guardsponies and a unicorn!" Amber gasped as the cyan pony came out, her wings on backwards. She was on the verge of tears "Tell me you can undo this? I came here hoping Twi was around." The mare gulped "I can try. if not, Fireheart at Skyhaven can! That's where we are meeting up with the Elements!" RD sighed "Right, lay it on me egghead. Lets see what ya got." Amber closed her eyes and tapped her new wand on Dash's forehead... "Dispell!"

Thorn watched in surprise as a dead ringer for Daring Do lined up for her kiss and suddenly launched into a monologue on the glories of the Daring Do series, her excitement rising by the moment to the point Applejack swapped in the filly, Applebloom. If this was an attempt to wear the mare out, it seemed to be of limited success as she wanted to include the filly in an adventure tomorrow. She wondered what the older Apple Heroine would think of that idea... Yes, he would definitely mention to Applebloom the financial and entertainment possibilities of selling tickets to watch the line next time...

Let me know if I can lend a hoof in brainstorming.

She waved a hoof "I may end up seeing Stalliongrad someday if the railroad becomes a reality, so that will be interesting I think." Her eyes went wide "Climb a rope? I have never done that before. Is that hard? Can you teach me?" The mare was excited. She had read of Daring Do having done so before but since she found the series after foalhood, she had never tried it.
