    P.S. I take back my earlier comment about the eye. Since her head is tilted upward, it would appear smaller than usual, thus it could work even more so than bringing the muzzle down by a fourth.

    Why not, I'll see if I can help ya out. First, I'd like to say how I admire you trying out for some good 'ol OC's. The process to creating an OC can be quite difficult, especially when creating one that looks good (and I say you've nailed that!) You've done a good job with the overall shape of StarFall, as well as the line work. Your composition is a classic and to the point, just the way I like it. The way you've done her hooves is quite good as well, a unique feature I personally haven't seen to much of. You've even thrown in tidbits of value here and there, helping the overall harmony of your image. This is a good start, now lets take it a step further and see where we can improve! What first catches my eyes is StarFall's wings. Unless part of her back story is having small wings, she needs some bigger flappers to help her get aloft! I'd say it needs to be about half the size of her head, and tall enough to be at the halfway mark of her ears. Here's a reference image to help ya out. From here, we can move onto her head. Now I'm not sure about you, but something seems.... odd about this. I can tell your going for a stoic pose, but her muzzle just looks out of place. I'd suggest trying to bring it down a fourth next time and see how it works out. I originally was about to suggest making her eye smaller, but then it'd look out of whack proportion wise. Also: You may want to look into getting a pencil with a harder lead or practice drawing lighter. I noticed that there's little tidbits of your rough still here. Overall though, you're doing good Frost, just keep practicing! Grab reference shots if you haven't already, they help out A LOT! That's how I'm learning to draw people, so why be different for little horses? If something I said wasn't clear, or if you want s'more help, let me know and I'll help out as much as I can.

    Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you like it! I added the mark to your OC and resized the mark to, what I'm guessing is, the forums dimensions.

    Hey there, heard ya needed a mark. Made it plenty big just in case ya need to edit it to your liking I forgot about the tattered/discoloured part until the end which took a bit longer than planned. Hope it's to yer liking Kitirina, enjoy!

    It's sometimes hard to say when a friend is teasing you, or just outright making fun of you. Don't be quick to judge yourself either, mistakes happen, we're human after all. If something your friends are saying bothers you, ya need to talk it over with them. If they're true friends, they'll understand and won't be on your case so much. Be prepared to come to a compromise with them though, they may be teasing you because they may be annoyed or embarrassed of your interest in ponies. The thing is, that's what comes with mentioning that you like this show. The majority of the populous is quick to judge and has its share of bigots, there's things that you mention to people and things that you don't. We all have secrets, the question is whether or not they're appropriate to tell. When I was a little guy, I LOVED Sailor Moon but I dared not tell a soul due to the implications of it. I'm just surprised that you feel you're receiving such flak considering you're part of a private Ladies Christian School. Guess no matter where ya go, school is school. Just remember though Frost: A fandom has a finite lifespan, friendship can last for the rest of your life. Be sure to look down the road and see where you'll be for the years to come and ask yourself this: Will I be happy? If they're just teasing with you with no good apparent reason, then you should reevaluate your friends as BbqD mentioned. Friends come, friends go. It's the ones that stay with you, no matter what baggage you carry, whom are the true gems. Edited a tiny mistype.

Note: Some of these Youtube Authors play or feature Mature Content within their videos. While they do have awesome content, please keep this in mind if you decide to watch some of their videos.     Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I know I'll have a great time here Proportions are my strong point as of now, it's only the intricate details which I'm currently having trouble with (Hands, Feet, Face/Ears). I know I'll improve over time, just gotta keep practicing. Before I know it, I'll be drawing dragons and space marines! Why thank ye! It's an oldie but a goodie P.S. :fish: ?

    About Myself: Hello there, thanks for taking the time to view this here topic! Ah, right, where do I begin? Well, I'm just your average FiM fan going to College with animation/design in mind (currently learning how to draw people! THE HORROR!!!) When I'm not working (PT,) I'm practicing my craft (doodling) and trying to master how to draw my own hands and feat (seriously.) I have drawn ponies in the past, stylus in hand, but I haven't since deciding to go back to school. I'd like to say I'm a cool, collective individual, but the truth is that I have a nasty habit of going in guns a-blazing! How I found Canterlot.com: Word of Mouth/Memory Reflex How I became a fan of MLP:FiM: Watched some episodes in a stream, went to the birthplace of the fandom and the rest is history. My favourite main cast pony/s: AppleJack,Fluttershy,Miss Rarity,Rainbow Dash,Twilight Sparkle,Pinkamina Diane Pie I'm sure there's more to me, but I'll let those unfold as I spend my time here

    From what I can gather, these are the spells I can think of from the following episodes: In "The Return of Harmony," Twilight casts a Fail-Safe and Memory spell "Magical Duel" has a handful as well, such as Age, Weather, Duplication, and a Gender spell (Note: It wasn't really classified as being called that, but Twilight said that she could change a Mare to a Colt.) Twilight remembered learning/trying Rarity's Gem Finding spell during "A Dog and a Pony Show" "It's About Time" featured a short, but sweet, Time spell (My dream for a DeLorean...) "The Crystal Empire - Part 2" had Twilight using a Gravity spell An Amniomorphic spell was mentioned in "Luna Eclipsed" "Lesson Zero" featured Twilight casting a Want it, Need it spell on Smartypants In the book Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell, Cadence mentions learning about reversing a Love-Stealing spell I'm sure there's other spells, many of which have been hinted of (Such as #16 - wind manipulation, #25 - 'stache growing, transmogrification, colour change, etc) but haven't received a true form of identification through the show. I'd say if you're trying to create spells, just let your imagination run wild and watch a couple of episodes heavy in magic use. Hope this helps, and good luck!
