  1. Oooh ooh ooh. I was admiring your lizards earlier today, they're so cool looking. Could you draw Babbles? Or maybe Dellios? Or maybe them interacting? I'd imagined Babs would be disgusted with Del because she's a snob and a half, and Del would be thoroughly confused by her in general. Or whatever you want. Please and thank you.
  2. I can't even tell you how hilarious I find the idea of Celestia having a prehensile mane. There is so much Trollestia potential in that I don't even know where to begin.
  3. And here's Bolt for RCTwilightSparkle, super adorable and fun to draw! BAM. Last one done, and I'll be reopening for another 5 requests. I feel five at a time is a solid work order, considering how crazy busy my life has suddenly gotten. Also updating the adoptables with three new ponies, and cleaning up the first post a bit.
  4. Oh man I didn't even notice those tiny ponies in the back until you pointed that out, that is 8 shades of awesome. I'm so kind of curious about hasbro's official stance on some of this. They clearly don't mind people using what must be copyrighted pony designs, and they downright encourage customs of all sorts ("blanks" can be bought through their site). If I remember right it was actually a Dr Who copyright violation that took down shoe brony. It's pretty intelligent of them to allow these sorts of things, honestly. Being so laid back and encouraging of the creativity of fans and collectors really only serves to cement loyalty to the brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Like a boss.
  5. Holy. Crap. I am doing this asa****ingp. Chocolate and peanut butter are my two favorite things and this seriously sounds like heaven.
  6. I absolutely love to cook, but I'm also kind of a dolt in the kitchen. The recipes I favor tend to be the sort with a lot of room for error and improvisation, and also freeze well and make for excellent leftovers. I thought I'd share a few of my favorites, and I'd love to hear some of yours! Breakfast Pie You'll need: Pie crust (homemade or store bought, just make sure it's the roll out kind, not the graham cracker, because ew) 2 cups of shredded cheese (I like either sharp cheddar or a cheddar blend) 4 eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 lb of breakfast sausage (or kielbasa, or italian sausage, or ground beef/turkey, or some combination thereof, so long as it's a pound) Preheat oven to 350 Lay out the bottom half of the pie crust in your pie tin, and brown the sausage (optional if you've chosen kielbasa or a similar smoked meat). Scramble the eggs in a small bowl, you can either cook them this way, or mix them in as is for a more quichelike texture. Combine the meat, cheese, eggs, and milk in a mixing bowl, and then pour it into the prepared pie crust. Lay the second crust over the top, crimp the edges, and cut a few slits in the top. Bake at 350 for about an hour, checking at 45 minutes. Crust will be a light golden brown when the pie is finished. It can also be baked for a half an hour and frozen to heat (for 30 minutes at 350) for breakfast another day. Making your own pie crust is easy and has delicious benefits, like mixing a bit of brown sugar and/or shredded cheese in. There's a billion recipes online. This one is also way better as leftovers. Tater Tot Casserole I actually stole this one from the Duggars and adapted it a bit to my own taste. 1 lb ground beef 1 can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom if you're boring mcblandpallet) 1 bag of frozen peas Tater tots Shredded cheddar cheese Preheat oven to 350 Brown the ground beef and drain the fat, and mix it with approximately 1/3-1/2 the can of cream of chicken soup and layer on the bottom of a 9x13 pan (a 9" square pan can also be used for thicker layers). Cover with a layer of frozen peas thick enough to cover the bottom layer. Smooth a layer of cream of chicken soup over the peas, and top with a layer of tater tots and cheese. Bake for an hour at 350. Goes great with sour cream. So, those are some of my favorite dishes. What are yours?
  7. Zecora watched Klondike's appraisal with interest. He was clearly a versatile craftsman, to have confidence in his abilities to repair such a delicate- and no doubt valuable- artifact, as well as something as practical, if a bit clunky, as her cart. She gave a small nod to the mare as she made her way into the store. "Forgive me please for being rude," Zecora chuckled. "I must be in a forgetful mood. Zecora is my name, and remedies are my game." She followed him around the corner with a slight bounce in her step. She would be able to cover the repair for her wagon and still return home with a healthy profit from the day. "I must say sir, your prices are fair, and I'll be very grateful for your skill in repair. I set up shop at the market in town, and without that business my profits would go down." [You need to give me the name of your tire guy, I've never gotten away for less than 75 a piece.]
  8. Of course! The clean version of the drawing will be on its way to you shortly Looks like it's about time for me to get round two of adoptables ready to rock.
  9. AWWWWRIIIIGHT Here's a couple more. Gettin' all fancy up in this piece tonight. Erigeron maniopotamicu, aka Mad-River Fleabane aka River (for short) for Pony_Sage Wherein I go crazy elaborate for Doc Hoof with Ember Heart Magic is fun to draw. Also, I'm not just skipping Dusty's request, I'm just waiting on some more info So, next, Bolt! Or, of course, Tihar, if Dusty gets back to me first.
  10. I'm really glad to hear everything is on the rise! Good luck, Willow, it'll be great to have you back with us again soon
  11. Sealight watched in amazement at this new pony's business card trick. Her eyes crossed and she pulled her head back a bit, trying to read the card he floated towards her. Realizing how silly she must look, she laughed and shook her head, pawing a hoof at the floorboards. She blushed a bit as the stallion tucked the flower into her hair, how nice of him to choose a shade that so beautifully matched the flowers planted by her sign... wait a minute... Before she could gather that thought, though, Spades had her attention again. She held her foreleg against her mouth, stifling a giggle at the sight of Tobias balacing a candy bar on his head. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Mr Spade," Sealight giggled. She turned to the crimson pegasus by her side, gesturing toward the chairs set up along the porch. "Tobias, feel free to have a seat while I get my new guest settled into his room, I'll return in just a moment." "Follow me," she said to White Spade cheerfully, turning and leading him inside. She stepped behind the counter and flipped open her ledger, picking up a pencil and making a few brief notes. "I'll have both yourself and Tobias in lakeview rooms. You're the first two guests, so I'm setting you up with an empty room between you, just in case you keep differing sleep schedules, you needn't worry about disturbing one another. The rate is 40 bits per night, due at checkout, though if you're staying long term I offer a weekly rate to be paid up front that drops the fee to 30 bits per night. We can settle that after you've seen your room, though." Sealight flipped the ledger closed and lifted one of the keys off the set of hooks behind her, tucking it under her wing for the moment. She turned back to her guest with a smile. "This way, please." Sealight stepped out from behind the counter and let the way to the second floor. Her first day in business was far from over and she was already setting up her second guest. She felt far more at ease about her investment in the old property. The room she chose for White Spade was painted a soft, sea blue, with stones and worn sea glass artfully arranged to catch the afternoon sun as it sparkled off the lake, clearly visible out of the large, clear windows. She unfurled her wing, dropping the key onto foot of the bed. "Breakfast is at 8am, dinner at 6pm, and I'll gladly prepare lunch as well, so long as you have your request in at breakfast time," Sealight settled her wings, smiling proudly at her new guest, hoping her speech wasn't too overwhelming, and that it didn't sound overly rehearsed. [ooc- holypony will be rejoining us shortly, I sent a PM earlier today]
  12. Dellios smirked to himself at the obvious uneasiness the earthbound unicorn's obvious nervousness. The unusual looking mare seemed to have no problems with it, she was sound asleep. He caught a current and rode it above the balloon for a moment, taking in the landscape. The forest was vast and dense, he couldn't figure out how they would manage to find Lola in all this. Their best bet, he guessed, would be to simply hope she caught sight of the balloon and caught up with them, as Del had on the last leg of their trip. The sky was incredibly clear ahead of them, hardly a cloud in sight for miles. The updraft petered out, and he drifted back down to the side of the basket. "It looks like your job should be easy," Del called to Inkwell. "The sky is perfectly clear, you'll do fine. If you like, I can fly a little ways ahead and let you know if any unusual currents are in our future. You'd be able to work on your drawing a bit that way."
  13. How psyched am I to have been part of one of the top three threads? Super psyched. I loved the RP event, I'm sad to see it come to a close, but I'm definitely looking forward to what's coming next!
  14. "Dancing is easy," Babbles smiled, bumping her shoulders against Max's as she stepped forward and turned to face him. She felt a little self concious with his eyes on her, she knew she looked amazing, she'd spent hours perfecting every aspect of her appearance for the night. She counted on looking good to get her out of trouble now and then, and wasn't ashamed of flaunting her genetic fortune. There was something about the plain honesty coming from a stallion who clearly didn't have much experience in the area that was disarming. "Just follow my lead," she winked, trying to maintain her casual cool. Her usual, natural charm wasn't coming as easy as it always had. She looked up at him, taking in his sheepish grin and blushing faintly in response. Get it together, Babs, you're going to blow this. She moved to the beat, thankful for an upbeat song to start with. A slow song would have to wait for her heart to slide back down out of her throat.
  15. My first dragon! I hope I did you right, Dub. Iggy, for Dubstep And, super fun to draw, Sunny Psyche for Therainbowtroll Two down! More to come
  16. My town had all our celebrations yesterday. Silly *******s. Oh well, hot dogs and french fries tonight! How is everyone celebrating? With the appropriate amount of explosives, I hope.
  17. Zecora stepped back, watching Klondike assess her cart. She was pleased to see that she was correct in surveying the damage, and that it was not as extensive as it could be. She held back a smirk at the dust and debris covering the pony's back from his slide under the cart. "I'll need these repairs, whatever the cost. Without them my business truly will be lost," Zecora said. She wasn't sure what to make of this pony, his attention span didn't seem to be the longest she'd seen. Zecora had been judged, though, on her air and appearance, and knew the feeling. She certainly wasn't about to make any decisions about the quirky stallion until she'd seen him at work. She opened her mouth to speak, but the frantic twitching of Klondike's ear caught Zecora off guard. She closed her mouth, looking to the side as he did, following his line of sight to the mare that had approached. She had an exotic flair to her that made Zecora feel slightly less out of place. She hoped the two would get a chance to speak while Klondike was at work.
  18. GUYS I CAN'T FIND MY TABLET WTFWTFWTFWTF
  19. I had thought my favorite fanfiction was going to be abandoned unfinished until today and holy crap it actually updated. I haven't read the latest installment yet, but the first is amazing. Also a very, very long read. Beautifully written, and my favorite depiction of the sisters. Luna's Goodwill Tour I also love Bubbles.
  20. "Excellent," Babbles blushed a bit at his smile, knocking back the rest of her drink and putting the glass down on the bar. She hesitated for a moment at the sight of the two Wonderbolts, wild hippogrifs couldn't drag her away from celebrities. Maximilian's expactant expression won her over, though. "To hell with it," she tossed her mane and followed his lead. Though she spent nearly every night out at one club, bar, party, or another, she very rarely treated them as anything but work. She was constantly on the lookout, ears alert, ready to pounce, and she'd been no different tonight. She glanced back at Soarin making his way toward Spitfire, making note of his getup, her beaten down posture- she shook her head. No more work. She trotted the last few steps to the dance floor, laughing to herself. Babs felt lightheaded and giddy, and chose to blame it on her drink, and not the handsome stallion at her side.
  21. That sounds amazing. I'd LOVE to do something like this. I've always loved visiting museums, especially when they have something new or different going on. Which museums did you end up going to? When I was a kid the science museum in my state's capital invited schools to participate in a 'lock in', where we got to sleep over at the museum, and they had special activities and exhibits for us after hours. That was pretty exciting. So was sleeping next to a triceratops skeleton.
  22. Zecora stood with a wide-eyed, blank expression plastered on her face. Once the pony snapped out of his reverie he certainly did seem to have a mouth on him. It briefly crossed her mind that these were the ponies that thought her too weird to be associated with, and almost immediately afterward she mentally listed a few tinctures, liniments, and an ointment or two that might benefit the stallion before her. A smile slowly spread across her face at his antics. She shook her head gently and nodded toward the door. "It seems you did manage to hear my plea," Zecora began, a hint of laughter in her voice. "I'll show you the cart if you'll come with me." She led the stallion outside, glancing over her shoulder to make sure the apparently absent-minded pony was following her. She stopped by the wheel, kicking it lightly with her hoof where the rim had begun to fray and splinter. "The here damage may not seem bad, but to it my long trip home will add. Is it something that you could fix? Before it becomes more than a few nicks."
  23. "So," Babbles smiled, turning over the idea in her head for a moment. "You're offering me an 'in', so to speak. An interview, which I hope would be exclusive," she cocked an eyebrow at him before continuing. "And a chance to shut out my competition?" She took a sip of her drink, looking out at the room, but her focus was elsewhere. This could be huge. And a chance to step out of the quagmire Canterlot's gossip scene had become. Hardly a scandal in months, and even Luna's increasingly public return had offered her nothing. Her editor had been breathing down her neck for a decent story, and they were both getting tired of blind items without a shred of truth behind them. She set down her drink and turned back to the stallion with a twinkle in her eye. "I accept your proposal," she said, placing her hoof on his. "On one condition." Her smile grew mischevious at the questioning look on Max's face. She leaned in a bit closer. "Be my date for the rest of the evening."
