Not knocking anybody's religious views, but why does Christian music have to be so painfully generic?

Yeah, every Christian song sounds the same to me.

Several Reasons:
1. Talent is rare; worship is universal. For a good portion of it, if you're just listening to the music, you're missing the point. There are more people with a need and desire to express the deep things of the soul than those who have the talent to do it better than everyone else. It isn't as if singing better makes God love you more.
2. "Christian Music" is a sub-industry, not a genre. You're going to have to do just as much hun...
