thank you all, now to answer your questions,

Lovinmoonlight , Yes it was the fox news network and sorry to say i thought at the time was WTF but being a anime nerd it wasn't that much of a jump for me to go from ah crp ponies to OMG ponies. I didn't hang round RP either but i'm looking at getting myself involved with some of the fan fiction and need to improve my writing skills and RP seems to have a lot of great writers for MLP, i am mostly a collector of MLP pics on my Tumblr (will post link if people want it) , pretty much similar to this site trying to stay at a quality level for the pics though its a NSFW one since sometimes you come across very well done shipping ect.

For Mylittleponytales , it was at everfree radio that i started on and somehow ended up here , you know 5 degrees of seperation ect.

Lifeismusic

Well hmmm australia weather is the best and the worst combined were i am, for 6 months of the year its a lovely 20-27 C about 70 f ( i think) but the second half of the year brings heat like you wouldn't believe in the 40c or about 100ish F , somedays its like going outside to walk on the sun :), and we have reinforced houses made specifically for cyclones or as you may call them hurricanes, its almost a yearly event and we usually don't stop work unless its a level 3 (katrina for new orleans was a 4) , i think the one we had last year was a 4-5 (5 being the highest) other than that life is great here , people are very friendly (well except for sydney its like new york) and beer drinking is a national pass time :), the people are a live hard play hard lot with a attitude that tomorrow may not come so enjoy yourself while you can.

If MLP had a australian pony they would probably like in the evergreen forest with zecora and all the monsters, only because it would feel like home, basically if its not trying to kill you, bite you , eat you or sell you a used wagon at a reasonable price it would be considered a pet. I grew up with frill necked lizards , blue tongues and echidnas so think of me as steve erwins twin brother or something CRIKEY!.

anyway if you want to know more about OZ ask away and i will attempt to fill in the blanks.

Donkeyhotey... Don Keyhotey.... Don Quixote?! I <3 YOU! Have you gone on any awesome adventures lately????

Also, so... you affirm that Australia tries to kill its inhabitants on a regular basis! GOOD! I've heard many Aussies deny this claim!

Welcome to Canterlot! I hope you enjoy it here!

Well depends on how far back you go , started off in go carts and that was fun but sort of got expensive when it got serious , so soon fun became work and so i traded that to a B class Drag Bike and that was a lot of fun , the adrenaline you get at the start line is great and if anyone says its only a straight line they don't know what they are talking about. I got an offer to ride for a team on a open bike but after one run i quietly handed it back and said any person that is crazy enough to ride one of those should be in a asylum somewhere, they laughed and said that i was the 3rd new guy to do that this month, so i didn't feel to down about that .

About 3 months later i tried out Khanacross with my road car a 323 GTR Familiar that i had screwed 300 ponies from and loved it , the rally like action but on a closed dirt circuit was the fast, sideways and safe (well as safe as you can be doing 120kph sideways on dirt) and about a month later got the course record on street tires :) loved that one, so many people were pissed off and protests flew all over the place, still got it though, a month after that i was drag racing the car at the track and blew the engine so the bike had to go as payment for a new engine (got to have a car here public transport is just stupidly bad) , anyway as my job has me moving round the country a lot i get to go to all the race tracks and have a go.

While i was at one of these tracks in a state called New South Wales or NSW , i met up with a man running a MX5 turbo or Miata in some countries, and got to talking engines and speed ect and got offed a second job working for his shop. I jumped at this and while there helped him build a beast of a car , it was fast as a Ferrari, agile as a Porsche and as reliable as a old VW bettle :) , when it ran nothing would keep up with it, but all that power in such a small engine and things went wrong a bit to often. Luckily when i was working there i had a run in with a moving tree that decided to tackle my car and i was offered a nice silver 1.6 MX5 for a good price, which also got a bit of a work over for handling not pwr this time, anyway it was a nice job while i had it , still have fond memories and love MX5's to this day.

So my main job had me moving again to Queensland or QLD, where i took up drifting with the MX5 and fell in love with this sport , its similar to the Khanacross i had a few years back but with more run off for when things go bad at the racetrack and usually at a much higher speed. The tyre smoke, the screaming of all kinds of engines, the cheering crowds, it all combines into just the right atmosphere for a hoones soul :), its a little bit redneck but with the nerdyness of a japanese video game rolled into one and involves skills most mortals won't hopefully ever need to use on a actual road.

See to drift a car you first have to try to crash it, well more precisely you have to unsettle the car to the point that it slides sideways and depending on your skill its just the rears or for the more advanced its all four wheels and the skill is to bring the car back from something most people would consider impossible to save . Sorry got a soft spot for Drift.

Once again i move further north in QLD were there is very little in the way of circuit racing but lots of smaller racing called sprints, which basically is a car park size circuit , hillclimb which is a one way track up a hill of course and motorkhana, all of which are timed events and fastest time wins.

Motorkhana is my favourite at the current moment mainly because it is so much like drift in some ways that you have to throw the car around and make it dance round a few complex circuits made up of witches hats in a car park usually surrounded by screaming spectators :).

Anyway at the current moment i run a series 4 RX7 with about 500hp as a hillclimb/motorkhana/sprint circuit car.

I have had many, many cars in the past almost in the hundred now i think and am a full mechanic because of it now , though i work in IT huh! funny how life goes.

sorry if it was long winded but i love racing in all its forms.
