Character Summary: When she was young, Coral was very sheltered. She was kept within the boundaries of the city of Okeanos by her parents, never knowing that there were four legged ponies walking the surface of the world. She didn't even know there was a surface past the ocean that she was born and lived in. The ocean life was much simpler than the one above, filled with lazy days of swimming with fish and munching on abundant growing plant life.

But one day, Coral sneaked out of the city and left the borders of Okeanos, exploring the ocean outside the safety of the city. There, she found a sunken ship, full of odds and ends from a world she didn't know existed. Coral didn't know what all the odd objects were used for, or why many of them were not used in Okeanos. She took a small token with her that she could easily hide, an oddly shaped object that intrigued her.

From then on, Coral sneaked out of the city on a regular basis, each time bringing with her an object from her adventure and hiding it in her room. She moved deeper down into the ocean, searching for more wreckage and strange items.

One day, however, she decided to go the opposite way, heading toward the surface she didn't know was there. Her head broke the water, but all she saw was more water and waves around her. That would have been the end of it, had her next expedition not resulted in something unexpected.

Coral further explored the surface of the ocean, finally arriving on land, which she had spotted from afar as she swam. Once there, she discovered a sandy beach, as well as a satchel full of objects that had washed up on the beach. Somepony had left it unattended, and Coral liked what she had found. So she smuggled it below the surface, hiding it in a grotto outside of Okeanos.

She would have gotten away with it too, if not for the appearance of a telltale octahedron on her flank, similar to the one she had found on her first journey. Well, her parents weren't happy, but her adventurous spirit and the fact that she hadn't injured herself during her exploration were enough for them to realize they couldn't keep her safe forever. So they let her carry out her searches, provided she now let's them know where about she is going.

Since then, she has filled the grotto with found objects, both from ship wrecks and from the beach. She has even now learned about the surface dwellers, and is curious to meet one. She is also interested in seeing what a non-underwater city looks like, although that's a little hard when she only has two hooves.

Coral has become somewhat famous for being a trader of items to other members of Okeanos. Anypony is welcome to her grotto while she is there, to barter for something interesting, or even a lovely gift for someone else. The residents of Okeanos do not have much use for a lot of the surface items, but they can make nice decorations, or even serve a purpose if one is creative enough.

Hiya Tales (If I may call you that for short), Silver Wisp here!

Nice app you got here, but one slight problem: There is nothing filled in for "Motivations". I assume that you accidentally marked this as Final and missed the motivation part.

Other than that, this app seems set. Also, I didn't know hippocamp had cutie marks, I learned something today!!

Thanks for taking the time to consider what I had to say.

:)

Hello.

Your friendly neighborhood Helpstaff here (although you should know this :) ).

I checked you app and it looks very good. Just two little things you might want to alter.

1) You mention prejudices among pony species. You should downplay that since although there are little tiffs among the pony types, Equestria is fairly harmonious in that way.

2) You mention that Aquella is polluted. Really there's noting to state that it is. I would think the Griffon Kingdom is much like Equestria in terms of how it works with the land.

You're almost there to a great app!

Well, it's like, many of the ponies of Canterlot obviously think they better than ponies from farming towns such as Ponyville, as demonstrated in Sweet and Elite. But under the sea, even Hippocamps and Kelpies get along just fine.

2) You mention that Aquella is polluted. Really there's noting to state that it is. I would think the Griffon Kingdom is much like Equestria in terms of how it works with the land.

I was going by the description in the The Canyons (East Aquellia) location.

Talonopolis - Talonopolis is the largest Griffon city and de facto capital of Aquellia. Its factories provide jobs to many griffons and produce goods that are traded all across Equestria.  Heavy industry is the cornerstone of the Talonopolis economy, supplying the Griffon military-industrial complex with materiel and providing commercial airship parts to places as far away as Stalliongrad.  The suburbs of Talonopolis are nestled in the walls of Raptorclaw canyon, where griffon families can live in relative peace and safety.

Rockwington - In stark contrast to Talonopolis’ towering factories and vertically oriented architecture, Rockwington is a small, diffuse village nestled in a bend in the White Raptorclaw River.  Upstream and upwind from Talonopolis, the river’s waters are still clean and the canyon walls are still pristine, untouched by industry. Rockwington is an artisan town, based around light industry and specialty manufacturing.  There are no large factories here, only local smithies and small businesses.  While Rockwington does not have the mass manufacturing capability of Talonopolis, its workmanship is flawless and its ability to produce specialist tools and precision machine parts is unparalleled.

It states that Talonopolis has many factories, and that Rockwington is a much cleaner part of Aquellia. So there are some parts of the Griffon lands that are plagued by pollution.

Maybe instead of saying prejudice, just say that the Hippocampi are more agreeable towards each other than the other pony races.

The main issue I have with that sentence is in its purpose. It's there to contrast the innocent undersea world to the more complicated world above. The thing is, Equestria is supposed to be a fairly innocent place too. In fact, it can be described as bordering on a utopia. For this reason, the contrast drawn here seems kind of forced.

According to our lore, aren't there two types of seapony as well, hippocamps and kelpies? If there is an element of prejudice between the three pony species (which there shouldn't be much of; a core point of the show is harmony, which is also the very thing Equestria was founded on), who's to say there isn't a similar element between the two sea pony species? Then there's the fact that we know sea serpents exist in Equestria, and they're basically dragons who live in the water; who's to say they're not just as dangerous as the dragons on the land? In a world full of monsters like the hydra and the Ursa Major, there are probably any number of other sea monsters lurking down there as well, I would assume, posing a danger to the sea ponies.

I'm just not sure thing are much simpler down there as described. Seems about the same to me, only a different environment.

Eh, still not sure I see sea life as "much simpler" than Equestrian life... but I guess if that's taken to just be the character's perception that's fine. Either way, not worth holding this otherwise very solid app up any longer... so:
